The owner's clearly thought outside the box when it came to decorating and we love the rustic wooden pieces, quirky adornments and mellow yellow tones as much as we do the original features. Speaking of, with its high period ceilings and shutter windows, natural light floods into the living area, creating a bright and airy spot to show off your day's forgotten finds. While the statement design and old-world objects add interest, the real star of the show here is that all-too-rare of London amenities – an outside space. It’s a sensory delight as soon as you walk through the door, with welcoming spaces designed with a calming colour palette and filled with modern furniture in a pristine condition. The views over St. James’s garden also add to the natural, peaceful feel of the home. The stylish bathroom was a standout feature, with a freestanding bath, walk-in rain shower and contemporary brass fixtures. It’s also a prime location for visiting London, with the tube, Notting Hill and Portobello all within walking distance.

You can't beat this location. Just a five-minute walk from Portobello Road, this apartment puts Notting Hill at your fingertips. This is the place to be if you're looking for delicious restaurants, vintage shops, or trendy cafes – though if you're keen to venture further afield, Ladbroke Grove Station is a three-minute stroll away. Back home, the bright living space is instantly welcoming. While the kitchen is fairly small, it’s well stocked and there’s a great selection of cookbooks to inspire you. There were a lot of features about this home that we really loved. While it is a fairly small space, it has been thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, and your host is also one of the loveliest people we have had the pleasure to meet. The interiors do have a contemporary feel, with the Andy Warhol photography adding character. Accessed via a ladder-style staircase, the bedroom here is on a mezzanine level, so you'll have to be prepared for some mid-stay climbing. The surrounding location is idyllic, with a bohemian vibe and within easy reach of the coveted Notting Hill.
