You really cannot beat this location if you are looking to be in a central area of London that’s bursting with attractions. You are literally just opposite the Natural History Museum and The V&A (a rarity) and you can walk to the nearby areas of Chelsea and Knightsbridge (Harrods, anyone?). The quality of the home itself matches the standard of the location. The interiors are both modern and characterful, with a cosy personal feel that’s inviting but not overbearing. The property is also triple-aspect and south facing, as such it’s basked in sunlight all day long, and a very calming, airy and light space to be in. Complete with two terraces, we’re confident this home will have all you need.

This apartment might not be the most luxurious address in South Kensington, but that's more down to the ridiculous standards set by some of the other homes in this famously well-heeled corner of London. We can't really find much to fault with the interior here – modest, yes, but homely all the same. The best part, however, has to be the excellent location on Fulham Road. Here, you're only a short stroll from a huge number of critically adored restaurants, designer shops and some of the capital's best art galleries.

You’ll find this grand apartment in a suitably resplendent position between the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Gardens. It’s a pad fit for royalty, with chandeliers, gilded antiques and a regal colour scheme of red and gold. We love the vast oil painting that overlooks the dining room, the impossibly splendid yellow silk bed in the master, and the antique kneehole desk in the office for when duty calls. Sure, given its enviable location and the restaurant that’s adjacent to the second bedroom, you may hear the occasional street noise. But for us, this home is all about the location. A short walk away, you’ll find some of London’s most renowned museums, while Hyde Park is also within walking distance should you fancy a picnic in the fresh air. And, while this home has a modern kitchen that’s perfect for whipping up family feasts, the selection of trendy eateries lining the local streets means that dining out is sure to be on the menu. 

London Hues

South Kensington is chic and exclusive – it’s a splendid part of London to call home. Staying in this apartment puts you right in the heart of this district, amid its restaurants, cafes, shops, and museums. You’ll be close to green spaces including Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, and can walk to the King’s Road in fifteen minutes. The apartment is on the first floor of a Grade II listed building next door to a filming spot for ‘A Fish Called Wanda’. The highlight of this home is the private terrace, which overlooks communal gardens – in warm weather, open the French doors and expand the living space. The single bedroom is accessible via a ladder, which won’t be suitable for everyone.

Locations don't get much better than this. Just a seven-minute walk from bustling King's Road, this flat is in the heart of upscale Kensington and Chelsea. Spend your days dining at the gourmet eateries nearby, browsing the museums in South Kensington (fifteen minutes on foot) and strolling through Hyde Park (a twenty-five-minute walk). It's the perfect spot to indulge in a bit of sightseeing, excellent shopping and luxury living – and with access to a private communal garden, you'll be doing quite a lot of the latter. We adore everything about this apartment, which is set in a traditional red-brick townhouse brimming with character. A bright living space is filled with books, cosy seating and beautiful artwork, while the kitchen has everything you need to whip up delicious homecooked meals. As an added bonus, a private balcony overlooks the communal gardens. In the evenings, sit out there with a glass of wine as the sun slowly sets, then come inside and snuggle up either on the sofa or in the bed for a Netflix movie night.

Compact but superbly located, this cosy abode in the heart of South Kensington drops you into the heart of the action. Sure, at full occupancy two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, which somewhat restricts the space. But with modern decor and clever use of the layout to allow for all amenities, it’s a price we’d be willing to pay. Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better. A short stroll takes you to many of the city’s iconic museums, while Gloucester Road Underground Station is mere steps away for trips further afield.

Keen to be close to world-renowned museums? Then this home off Exhibition Road is just the ticket. In a matter of moments, you can be at the V&A, Natural History Museum, and Science Museum – all of which are on your doorstep. South Kensington Tube station is also minutes away, making this an ideal spot for adventures both near and far. Of course, the central setting lends itself to noise, and the bedrooms are particularly snug. But the living area is roomy and offers views of the street (it also has a sofa bed for two), the kitchen is well-appointed, and the location speaks for itself. We think it's the perfect balance between convenience and comfort.

The Prince & The Knight

Tucked down a historic cobbled mews, this home is anything but boring. Don't be fooled by the cottage-core exterior – inside, the design is all about contemporary touches and sleek details. One of our favourite rooms is the main bathroom, which has a soaker tub and two lavish showers. There's also a second (albeit slightly smaller) suite, so nobody will feel left out. Upstairs, the living area opens onto a Juliet balcony with views of the mews, and there's a large kitchen ideal for culinarians. The cherry on top is the location. You're just a stone's throw from Harrods, Hyde Park, and the many eateries and shops in swanky Knightsbridge.

Nestled on a quiet street in South Kensington, this penthouse apartment, housed in a stunning neo-classical style London townhouse, has a fantastic location. We love the modern style of this home, but it’s the location that really caught our eye. With some of the city’s most renowned museums a short walk away, Hyde Park around twenty minutes on foot, and delicious dining options lining the streets, there’s something to suit all tastes.

London Harmony

This elegant home in the heart of South Kensington is just the ticket for a stay in the capital. The laidback living area is a masterclass in classic meets contemporary, with antique scarlet armchairs and a rich, ornate rug sitting alongside glass balustrades and modern art canvases. Unconventionally, the bedrooms are downstairs, but we rather like the upside-down effect – who wants to be conventional anyway? Two of the bedrooms lead directly onto the patio, where stairs wind up to the lovely, shared garden. If you’re in need of even more greenery, the leafy expanse of Hyde Park is just a short walk away, along with the cultural powerhouse of the Royal Albert Hall.
