Tucked away down a pastel-coloured, cobbled mews street, this quaint home offers you the chance of an idyllic London experience. Think more Richard Curtis than Guy Ritchie. The eclectic interiors are bursting with charm, and the impressive collection of art, artefacts, sculptures and rocks reflect the home's proximity to two of London's most popular museums, the V&A and Natural History Museum – with both little more than five minutes from your front door. While there's no oven in the kitchen, it's perfectly set up to prepare light meals. And if you need something more substantial, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to cafes and restaurants dotted along Brompton Road and clustered around South Kensington station – all within a ten-minute walk. From here, the Tube can whisk you out west to explore stunning Kew Gardens or transport you to London's trendy East End in a little over half an hour. 

Mariposa

You’ll find this split-level apartment on Gloucester Road in the heart of South Kensington. With one bedroom open to the living room, and two people sleeping on the sofa bed at full occupancy, we think this home is best suited to those who are happy to share their living and sleeping space. Still, it’s a small price to pay for the location. With trendy eateries, shops, and world-class museums within walking distance, it’s not hard to see why this London pad caught our eye. Keen to explore more of the city? Hop on the Tube at Gloucester Road or South Kensington for trips across the city with ease. 

London Groove

This quaint two-bedroom terraced townhouse on a quiet street off the bustling Fulham Road has a pared-down exterior in contrast to the cosier atmosphere inside. A spacious living area welcomes you on the ground floor, and an open-plan kitchen completes the space. Sleeping quarters are tucked away upstairs, and the master bedroom even boasts a terrace, although we can't guarantee the weather! The house is a few minutes' walk from South Kensington Tube station, allowing you to explore the whole of London with ease. Closer to home, PJ's Chelsea Brasserie serves up Modern American classics only 100 yards away. Phil Howard's Michelin-starred Elystan Street is just a five-minute walk, while The Crown and The Hunter's Moon are there for those after a good old British pub. A ten-to-fifteen-minute walk opens up the fashionable boutiques and fine dining options of Kings Road, swanky Sloane Square, and the shopping mecca of Harrods.

Chelsea Terrace

Nestled in leafy South Kensington, this fifth-floor apartment couldn't be better located. Museums, coffee shops, and gourmet restaurants are just a short walk away, as is Gloucester Road Underground, giving easy access to the rest of the city. The decor is a tad minimalist, but you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay – a bright living area, a well-appointed kitchen, and a cosy bedroom with an en-suite soaker tub. Despite having a lift in the building, you'll still need to climb a few stairs. Children may also be welcome upon request, but we think it's best for a couple's getaway.

Kensington Vistas

With Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park and three world-famous museums (The Natural History, V&A and Science Museums) practically on your doorstep, this apartment in South Kensington absolutely nails it, location-wise. Just a few minutes walk will also take you to Kensington High Street – known for its boutique shops and excellent eateries – so you couldn't ask for a better spot to call home. But the bustling locale isn't the only thing we love – inside, this apartment is a sparkling ode to another time. Shimmering chandeliers hang from high ceilings adorned with intricate cornices. Roman-inspired pillars stand tall on top of glossy parquet flooring and an ornamental marble fireplace takes centre stage in the living room. It's bright and luxurious, the perfect accompaniment to a stay in high-end Kensington. The property is also triple-aspect and south facing, as such it’s basked in sunlight all day long, and a very calming, airy and light space to be in. Complete with two terraces, we’re confident this home will have all you need. 

The Sunlit Haven

You'll find this charming basement apartment in a residential corner of Kensington. Conveniently located, it has direct tube links to Heathrow Airport and a number of London's most popular attractions. It's also a short walk from top spots like Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, and the V&A museum – not to mention an array of cafés, pubs and restaurants. This home is a perfect base for exploring London, with a full kitchen for home cooking and a private terrace with a dining table so you can take dinner outside. There's even a dedicated workspace so you can catch up on work, if you must, and a bathtub for ultimate, feet-up relaxation.
