Moments from Marylebone Station, this no-frills apartment is great for short stays. The location is fantastic – Baker Street, Marylebone's shops and cafes, and Regent's Park are all a short stroll away, while the rest of the city is within easy reach, thanks to the nearby Tube. It isn't the most eye-catching apartment in our collection, but each room is filled with light. The double bedroom is snug yet peaceful, and guests three and four will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area. With all the essentials covered, you can drop your bags and start exploring straight away.

A characterful ground-floor apartment that’s perfect for small families or two couples. Guests can delve into DVDs and books – lounging on that huge distressed-leather sofa – or listen to music from the bathtub. There’s a bright kitchen in which to cook dinners, and a folding table at which to eat them. Host Demelza kindly provides a welcome hamper, which you can mine for picnics in Regent’s Park. The owners of this cosy apartment call it their luxury treehouse. And with views across the leafy garden below, it’s not hard to see why. It’s also tucked away on the top floor with three flights of stairs, but once inside you’ll find a welcoming space well-suited to couples and remote workers. There is also a little balcony and you can enjoy access to the shared garden. It’s worth noting there is no private parking here, but you’ll find everything you could need within walking distance. Plus, it’s just a two-minute walk to Warwick Avenue underground station – making it easy to connect with central London.

Located in the heart of Little Venice, you'll find plenty of charming bars, restaurants and pubs nearby. The home itself allows for flexible modern living, as the second bedroom can be configured with two full size singles or a king-size bed. The second sitting room has a pull-out sofa bed (with a sprung mattress) that accommodates two guests, along with an ensuite shower room. Meanwhile, if you're looking to catch up on work while you're away, there's a desk and chair in each bedroom. There's also a lovely outdoor terrace that serves as a quiet spot for enjoying morning coffees as you watch the canal boats pass by. 

The Keeper of the Lock

Situated in the heart of St John's Wood, this one-bedroom penthouse is a short walk from the famous Abbey Road Studios and the Lord's Cricket Ground. It makes a comfy base whether you're sightseeing or commuting, though we suggest packing light – space is limited, and it's on the third floor of a building without a lift. The kitchen is well-equipped for easy home cooking, while the Juliet balconies let in plenty of natural sunlight during the day. To explore Central London further, you'll find St John's Wood Tube station about ten minutes away on foot, putting the city at your fingertips.

The High Hopes

Minimal and practical, this apartment may not have much in the way of flashy amenities, but it’s a great location from which to explore London’s sights. A short walk from Hyde Park and within easy reach of Oxford Street’s shops, it’s a central spot for those looking to spend most of their time venturing about the city. When you are at home, however, you’ll find a modern open-plan living area and a handy dining nook for when you’re not out sampling Marylebone’s local restaurants. Keep in mind you’ll need to climb some stairs to reach this sixth-floor pad, so you might want to go light on the packing.

Cosmopolitan Charm

Located in the heart of St John’s Wood, this apartment offers a great base for those visiting London for either work or leisure. There’s a dedicated office that can double as a single bedroom if needed, and the apartment’s private entrance adds a touch of privacy here too. Its lower-ground floor position means there’s not an abundance of natural light, but we’re willing to overlook this given the home’s prime location. An easy walk from Regent’s Park, Primrose Hill, Abbey Road Studios and with plenty of public transport options nearby, you’ll have the capital at your fingertips.

It's hard to find a better location in London than Marylebone. Home to independent shops, trendy eateries, and excellent transport links, this area has it all. Wander over to Regent's Park for a morning stroll, head to Oxford Street for some shopping, or hop on the Tube for a quick trip around town. Bright, welcoming, and stylish, the apartment has a lot to offer, too. Home cooks will love the spacious kitchen, while two avian-inspired bedrooms offer respite from all the action – just note that guests five and six will sleep on a sofa bed. All in all, we think it's a central, convenient, and, most importantly, comfortable place to call home.

We know that staying on a houseboat might not be for everyone, but for those tempted by the idea, you won't get any better than this. The vessel itself is fifty-seven feet long and over a hundred years' old — not that you'd be able to tell from the delightfully modern interior. Behind the cabin doors, you'll find every amenity you could want and even a few you probably weren't expecting. The kitchen is plenty big enough to allow you to cook up hearty suppers and just behind it, you'll find a log burner that'll keep you toasty during the colder months. And if that wasn’t enough, the bathroom puts several studio flats we've seen to shame, boasting an elegant clawfoot tub for leisurely morning soaks.

Start your day with a cup of coffee in the cosy living area, then head upstairs and give your neighbours a wave from the top deck. When the weather’s on your side, we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to spend all day out here but if you fancy getting out and about, why not stretch your legs with a gentle waterside stroll? Soak up the sights and sounds of river life, then — when you’ve had enough of being on land — climb back aboard and spend the rest of the evening snuggled up by the fire. You can’t get much cosier than that.

Locally, you’ll find Regent’s Park nearby and entertainment aplenty with Marylebone Theatre and the Sherlock Holmes Museum within easy reach. Alternatively, hop on the underground at Baker Street for trips further afield.

If you’re in search of a laidback stay in the heart of London, this apartment delivers a great solution. Located in Marylebone, it’s just a short stroll to Regent's Park and Hyde Park. You’ll also find Edgware Road underground station is less than ten-minutes away – ensuring easy connections with the rest of London. It’s worth noting there isn’t a lot of natural light in the living room, but you will have a private balcony (perfect for warm weather drinks), and plenty of space across the bedrooms to stretch out and unwind.

A collection of serviced apartments, Europa House is located in little-known Maida Vale. Here you’ll find great restaurants and a strong sense of community, but hardly any tourists. This particular flat feels homely thanks to its warm, garden-themed decor and bespoke furniture. There are luxury beds – which get made while you’re out – an excellent kitchen, desks and yoga mats, but our stand-out was the communal garden square behind. Invisible from outside, it includes swings and ample space for kids to play.

We love the log burner in the living room, so why not stay in one night and listen to the crackling fire? Sixties music fans might also recognise lyrics about an heiress who 'owns a block in Saint John's Wood’ – could this swanky block be the one? The striking red-brick facade of the building is a typically Victorian look that you’ll only see in London. Behind the dominating exterior, this flat is compact but perfectly formed, with an airy layout that’s set up for socialising. While the interior colour palette is calming and neutral, this might be exactly what you need after the bustle of London. With a breakfast island looking out to leafy street views, it's the perfect spot to start your day with an Earl Grey. Head out to grab a luxury pastry for breakfast, before strolling ten minutes to Regent’s Park, one of London’s largest and loveliest green spaces.  With the Zoo and Regent’s Canal both located in this Royal Park, you could spend the entire day here, less than a mile from home. Exploring is a breeze here – the Tube is ten minutes on foot, while Paddington Station is just a bit further. When you're not out and about, the stylish living area is perfect for unwinding. It has everything you need for a fuss-free stay, including a compact (but well-appointed) kitchen and a dining table that doubles as a workspace. We think it works well for couples and solo travellers.

Located near Regent’s Park, in the affluent area of Marylebone, this home screams of opulence and luxury. At first glance it might be the marble, herringbone flooring, and chandeliers that catch your eye, but the classic Georgian interior, high ceilings, sash windows, dusty pinks and brass, and textures of velvet all combine seamlessly to create a space in which to unwind stylishly. 

Steal away through the window and onto the balcony to watch the sunrise over London. Nurse a cup of coffee as the colours bloom on the horizon and when your soul feels rejuvenated, head back into the sleek kitchen to prepare croissants with scrambled eggs. 

With all that light on offer, you might opt for a morning at home with Jane Austen. Get your nose in any of her novels as you rest your feet on the stool, only zipping out at lunch to find a delectable meal at any of the surrounding restaurants. 

Romantics can stroll through the park hand-in-hand, or picnic there if the English weather permits. With a bus stop only minutes away, London is right at your fingertips and we recommend touristy spots like Buckingham Palace – about twenty-five minutes on the tube. Grab a takeaway coffee and walk to Little Venice or visit the Lisson Gallery, ten minute away.

Calling all music fans, you'll love this apartment's location near the famous Abbey Road Studios, synonymous with The Beatles. This affluent leafy neighbourhood is also within walking distance of the Lord's Cricket Ground, while Primrose Hill is twenty minutes on foot. When you want to explore further afield, St John's Wood London Underground station (Jubilee Line) is an eight-minute walk away. Actually, getting a train here and there isn’t a bad idea, as you’ll need a little energy to reach this home’s front door on the second floor as there’s no lift (you may want to pack light). Once here, though, there are leafy views from open-plan living space and a desk if you need to catch up on emails.
