The apartment is comfortable and welcoming, with a clean, crisp colour palette and all the amenities you’ll need for a city break, though at full occupancy, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living space. 

Kensington Air

In the heart of well-heeled Kensington, this apartment ticks the boxes for a central stay. The location is unbeatable – London's famous museums, the Royal Albert Hall, leafy Hyde Park, and Kensington Palace Gardens are all a short stroll away. This is a lower-ground floor flat, so it won't suit those who struggle with stairs. It's filled with natural light, thanks to the conservatory-style dining area. There's also a desk ideal for digital nomads and a small outdoor space where you can end the evening with a glass of wine. Just note that two guests will sleep on a sofa bed.

We love the living room, with its twin sash windows and cosy lime green sofas, along with the contemporary kitchen with everything you'll need for cooking at home and a smart dining table. Upstairs, each bedroom comes with a luxurious ensuite and there are views across the rooftops. With two tube stations within a five-walk, it's easy to get around the city from here, but if you're staying a little closer to home there are all sorts of great places to eat and drink on your doorstep. And The Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace are within walking distance.

Tucked away one of London's most sought-after postcodes, this Georgian mews home has plenty of character and style. Within close proximity to many of London's main museums, spend your days soaking up the culture and history of the area, or jump on the tube to be taken to London's main attractions in minutes. Kensington itself is home to an array of chic cafes and international eateries, which will prove very convenient if you fancy stopping for a bite to eat on the way home.

With an outdoor patio to the front of the house, wind down on summer evenings with a glass of wine while taking in the original architecture, before heading inside for a long hot bubble bath. Wind down on the velvet sofa in the living space until it's time to get some rest in the comfortable beds.

Magenta Mews

The main bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom for optimum privacy and the living room works perfectly for lazy evenings or catch up work sessions. Plus, the nearby transport links can get you wherever else you want to go. So with a big tick on location, what else is on offer here? Well, the flat also isn't all that bad to look at. Plus, from its position above a pharmacy on the high street, the snug balcony lets you look out over the streets of this affluent neighbourhood. 

Elegant Haven

Oxford Street may be one of the busiest places in London, but this apartment just a five-minute walk from the heart of the action is as tranquil as it gets. The Alvar Aalto designed living space is minimalist and sophisticated with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the room with light and provide views of your bustling locale – you’ll notice a pub on the corner of Foley Street, convenient for a quick pint on your way back from the area’s designer shops or an afternoon spent poring over the artwork in the Wallace Collection, a fifteen-minute stroll away. If you’re a fan of cooking, you’ll be pleased to find high-end appliances in the kitchenette and a stylish dining table where the four of you can gather for an evening meal. And when it’s time to rest your head the top-quality mattresses will ensure you’ll be out like a light.

Sherlock

This Paddington apartment has space to work from home and excellent transport links across the city. It's a great find for business travellers, though families and friend groups will also feel right at home. Keep in mind that the living space is on the smaller side, and it's on the third floor of a building without a lift. Even so, given the location – a five-minute walk from Paddington Station and twenty minutes from Hyde Park – we think that's a fair compromise.

The Paddington Pick

Elegant and bright, this lovely studio apartment in Kensington is an ideal base for a couple or solo business traveller looking for a comfortable stay in one of London’s prettiest neighbourhoods. Though compact, this home packs a decorative punch with a neutral palette offset by soft pink accents and large windows letting ample natural light flow in. Mornings call for coffees at the cosy window-side table and catching up on work at the desk, while nighttimes beckon a peaceful night’s sleep in the wonderfully comfortable bed. When it comes to ways of filling your days, you’ve got plenty to choose from within easy reach. South Kensington’s world-class museums are a ten-minute walk away, Kensington Palace and Gardens are a fifteen-minute stroll and Chelsea is a mere twenty minutes away on foot.
