Situated in the gorgeous Evenlode Valley, Charlbury is surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside. There are so many lovely walks to enjoy, including one along the River Evenlode to Ditchley Park. Hikers can also take advantage of the Oxfordshire Way, which passes through the town. For everyday needs, there’s a convenience store 300 metres away. A farmer’s market is also held quarterly on the 2nd Saturday in March, June, September, and December. 

Or pop to the local deli, just a one-minute walk from this home. It’s the same distance to the pub, a 16th-century coaching inn if you fancy a hearty meal or just a drink. Other attractions in the area include Blenheim Palace, which is 11 kilometres from this adorable cottage.

And while some parts may date back to the 1400s, the rest has been thoughtfully curated to inspire optimum comfort and relaxation. Set across three floors, the rooms are cosy and well-suited to families. It’s worth noting there are low ceilings on the top floor, but you will find an abundance of charm and a luxurious roll-top bath. There is also a walled courtyard with a charcoal barbecue, and your host can arrange sweet extras like hampers and food boxes. From here, it’s just a short stroll to the nearest shops and pubs, while hiking trails can be found within easy reach.
