Set across one floor, the space is equipped with all the essentials you could need to settle in and make it your own. Enjoy peace and simplicity while relaxing on the sofa or head out onto the little terrace for evening drinks. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join you here and private parking is available. Plus, it’s just a short stroll to the nearest pub, while Bath and Bristol are both within easy driving distance. 



The Somerset Nest

Get off the beaten track at this remote retreat set deep within the Herefordshire countryside, close to the Welsh border. Originally the farm's dairy, it's been lovingly converted from a derelict outbuilding to stylish home from home in just a few short years.

Inside, discover a cute contemporary farmhouse style, with beautiful natural stone flooring, a sleek kitchen and an inviting seating area placed within warming distance of the wood burner.

Step through to the bedroom, where you'll find a comfortable bed with a skylight above, perfect for stargazing, and an elegant freestanding bathtub for indulgent evening pampering sessions.

The star of the show has got to be the wood-fired hot tub, with views across to the Monnow Valley. Spend your days hiking through the hills with your dogs, before hosing them down at the outside tap and jumping into the warm water – we can't help but feel that the dog's getting the raw end of the deal here.

Speaking of walks, there are plenty of public footpaths that pass across the farm, with your hosts able to provide OS maps and walking books should you need them. If you want to venture further afield, why not head up the Skirrid, Sugar Loaf and Black Mountains – all viewable from the garden.


Cider House Rules

Living on the grounds of a 16th century country-house in the lush green Cotswolds (the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) already creates the ideal setting for nature lovers. Once you settle in with biscuits, fresh scones and fruits on arrival (among other goodies) and befriend the curious chickens, embark on a walk through the rolling Cotswold hills and valleys. While Netflix and cocoa are perfect for rainy days in, there is a whole world out there on sunnier days. The Cotswold Way is a trail that we’d definitely recommend, with plenty of historic pubs along the way, each serving their own collection of local ales. The home is located in Painswick, a village known as The Queen of the Cotswolds and characterised by beautiful narrow streets of honey coloured stone buildings dating back to the fifteenth century. Legend has it that the Devil won’t let a hundredth tree grow. There are all sorts of cafes and restaurants in and around the village, so make sure you ask the host, Hannah, for some recommendations.


The Cotswold Cedar

Private farmland surrounds this stunning converted barn, a traditional slice of countryside tranquillity. There's a delicate balance of modern grandeur and tasteful tradition here. The fresh decor complements vaulted ceilings, flagstone floors, barn doors and oak beams, while the snug sitting room hosts a log burner and the general feel of bucolic cosiness. Reached via the stunning glass-paned walkway, each bedroom has its own stylish design, complete with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. One en-suite has a delight of a free-standing bathtub, another almost feels like a woodland sauna. Socialise in the large country-style, open-plan kitchen and dining area, with top-of-the-range appliances to make life that little bit easier. Outside, the courtyard’s comfortable seating and peaceful surroundings invite you to fire up the gas barbecue and while away the evening. Or enjoy your morning coffee in the lush gardens before a day of exploring – it's just a short drive to dozens of Cotswolds villages. Drive to the achingly quaint market town of Chipping Norton in just thirty-seven minutes with nearby Hook Norton offering great local beers from one of the area's most popular breweries – it's always worth a visit. This is a home where life on the farm is a thrill, and staying in a barn feels the height of luxury. 

Dovesong

With beautiful views, two private hot tubs and wood-burning fires, this home has everything you could need for a refreshing rural retreat. Consisting of two neighbouring homes, you’ll find plenty of space to stretch out and socialise. There is also an external games room, a snooker room and a large garden with a barbecue – perfect for warm weather days. From here, it’s a short walk to the nearest village, while the Forest of Dean is on your doorstep. It’s also a short drive to Cheltenham and Bath.


The Heart of the Forest

Sitting peacefully on the edge of the Forest of Dean, this home provides the perfect setting for a refreshing retreat. Outside, you can enjoy the views while soaking in the hot tub (available for an additional fee). There is also a barbecue and plenty of space for children and dogs to play safely. Inside, there is a wood-burning stove in the living room and two of the bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms – adding a wonderful sense of privacy. And when it comes to explorations further afield, follow hiking trails, visit local pubs or explore the nearby Wye Valley.

Light of the Forest

Part Victorian farmhouse, part modern pad, this rural home is filled with light and character. The recently-renovated manor sits on a verdant plot in the bucolic Somerset countryside, boasting far-reaching views and access to plenty of scenic routes. If you're the kind of walker who enjoys a post-stroll pint, you'll be pleased to hear the village pub is just a fifteen-minute walk away.

This homely property will welcome you with open arms, inviting you to sink into the plush Chesterfield sofas or unwind with a soak in the free-standing bathtub within minutes of arriving. When you're settled, gather the family for a meal on the fairy-lit terrace and take in the natural vista ahead. If it's too cool for alfresco dining, the contemporary kitchen-diner is the next best thing, letting the outside in through expansive sliding glass doors.

There's no shortage of worthwhile sights in your immediate vicinity, from the manicured gardens at The Newt to the Swiss art gallery in the town centre. Thirty minutes down the road, the historic hamlet of Wells is home to an impressive cathedral and a selection of quintessentially English eateries.

Montague Manor

This beautiful home sits within the grounds of a historic stately manor. It’s between Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, so you’ll be perfectly positioned to explore the Brecon Beacons and the area’s delightful towns and villages. French doors open to the terrace and garden, where you can play croquet and admire the deer park just beyond the estate’s gardens. Inside, the wood-burning stove keeps things cosy. It's a stylish and tranquil home that’s been meticulously renovated. We love the elegant tiling in the en-suite bathrooms. 

The Summer Lodge

With sweeping countryside views and a hot tub perfectly positioned for starlit soaks, this peaceful retreat is all about slowing down. Ideal for two, and surrounded by fields and footpaths, this shepherd's hut sits in the heart of a working dairy farm in the Wye Valley, just fifteen minutes from Chepstow. Inside, soft tones and natural textures create a calming space to unwind, whether you’re curled up by the wood-burning fire, cooking in the compact kitchen or stretched out on the king-size bed. Outside, the private deck is perfect for alfresco breakfasts and quiet evenings with the cows grazing nearby. Don’t leave without trying the farm’s creamy gelato and milkshakes.

Farm Fresh Living

With the flexibility to sleep up to 24 people, this magical country house is all set up for special events, gatherings of friends and family, activity holidays and more. With views across the Wye Valley, it's set on five acres of pristine land and has nine bedrooms for you to choose between – either in the beautifully restored and extended 17th-Century farmhouse or the stunning new guest annexe. 

Lovers of interior design will have a field day here. It's been impeccably put together by its owner Kari, a professional designer, with nods to traditional country chic, contemporary cool and even Antipodean modern rustic – Kari grew up in Australia. The main house having been extended, the old stable unit was transformed into an architect-designed annexe with a series of split-level suites that wouldn't look out of place in a boutique hotel in Shoreditch.

The huge, 40ft kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to cook for your group, with an incredible four ovens, five hobs and two dishwashers, or you can take the hard work out of it by hiring a private chef. You'll have four main living spaces with enough room to get together as a large group or enjoy a bit of privacy, and there are all sorts of outdoor seating spots – including a fire pit area, dining terrace and an Aussie-style shack enjoying views across the valley.

Built for entertaining, you'll have a games barn where you can play table tennis, work out on the gym equipment and grab some garden games, as well as a room perfect for group activities. There's even a wood-fired hot tub, a children's natural play area and private fields for you to explore.

Just a few miles from the book town of Hay-on-Wye, it's easy to explore the Welsh border from here, and hiking, cycling and canoeing are all popular local attractions. And if you fancy an action-packed break, your host can put together a unique itinerary for your group. You're bound to make memories that last a lifetime.    

The Memory Jar

Set on the first floor of a handsome Georgian terrace, this apartment is a cosy base in the heart of Bath. Inside, it’s bright and homely, with large sash windows that flood the open-plan kitchen and living area with natural light. The wood-panelled bedroom, painted a deep forest green, offers a calming retreat after a day of sightseeing, while the comfy sofa bed adds flexibility for kids or extra guests. Step outside and you’re just moments from the Royal Crescent, the ancient Roman Baths, and some of the city’s best restaurants, cafes and museums.
