Sandwiched between the South Downs National Park and the Chichester Harbour AONB, it doesn’t get more away-from-it-all country glam than this little Sussex nook. It’s on the edge of a wildlife meadow, so sessions on the private terrace come with the soundtrack of birdsong and a gentle summer breeze. Spot wildlife from the warmth of the private hot tub on the deck, or perhaps from the swing seat, strung up on the porch. 

The interior is a reflection of the wilderness location, with wooden artworks featuring fawns and birdlife on display in the cosy bedrooms. The window seat in the master makes for the perfect reading nook, overlooking the meadow, and there’s a desk in here should you need to work remotely. The vaulted, wood-beam ceiling is twisted with stringed lights for a fairytale effect and there’s plenty of room at the rustic wooden table for the group to dine inside (if you’re not enjoying an alfresco meal on the terrace, that is). Come evening time, the plush sofas in the living room are set around a wood-burning stove. 

Wildflower Hideaway

Well, there's no mystery why this home has made our collection. The apartment is right on the beach in East Wittering, so as you can see, it has great views of the sea from the private sunny balcony as well as most rooms. Yes, the galley kitchen is a bit compact if there are more than two people in there, but it's modern and well-equipped. If you tire of East Wittering Beach (unlikely we know), West Wittering Beach, with its views of Chichester, is less than a ten-minute drive. Otherwise, Chichester Marina is just over ten minutes away in the car, and Goodwood House is around a thirty-minute ride.

Light & Sea

Located in the heart of beautiful Chichester on England’s south coast, this bright modern flat is part of an eco-friendly development that features a sedum natural-plant roof, underfloor heating, and sustainable furnishings. The apartment’s social design, with its open plan living room, kitchen, and diner make it an ideal setting for a group of friends looking to explore the region’s mix of natural beauty and rich history. While immediate sites include the city’s cathedral and Roman baths, the stunning beaches at Wittering and the beautiful South Downs National Park are only a short drive away.

The Green Cube

Set near the water’s edge on Hayling Island, this contemporary home really makes the most of its picturesque position. The house has an upside-down layout, with the bedrooms on a lower floor and the living space upstairs, ensuring extra-special views from the sofa. We love the garden, which has plenty of room to relax in the fresh sea air, and the covered balcony, where you can enjoy the view even when it rains. The island itself is a true holiday haven, with unspoilt beaches, scenic cycle trails, and a kid-friendly amusement park. Little ones will also like this home’s hidden playroom and bunk bed slide – but guests of all ages will love this coastal gem. 

 Tides of Hayling

A stone’s throw away from East Wittering Beach, this beautiful home will capture beach lovers’ hearts, but with the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty minutes away, naturalists will fall in love too. Explore your surroundings on days out, stopping off in town for lunch. 

Golf enthusiasts can find Chichester Golf Course on the other end of a short drive. Practice your handicap on a stunning course whilst the rest of the family take themselves a little less seriously at Jungle Paradise Adventure Gold right next door.

Spend days at home in a leisurely fashion – we recommend a lot of lounging. Do a crossword puzzle in your own time as you nurse a cup of coffee at the breakfast counter. Dine alfresco out back and spend your days here with drinks and nibbles as the kids tire themselves out on the lawn. Stargaze at night before treating yourself to a luxurious bubble bath and retiring to one of the ultra-comfortable bedrooms.

The Cherry

A timber cabin surrounded by meadows and woodland might sound like a back-to-basics retreat, but at this home in rural Sussex, guests will have a wealth of luxuries at their disposal.

This is before you've even entered the home, as well. Out on the decked terrace, there's a hot tub from which you can enjoy the tranquillity of the local area, as well as a sofa and swing seat. When the sun goes down, there are festoon lights to turn on, plus a charcoal barbecue and fire pit to keep you fed and warm.

If the temperature dips a little too low, there's a wood-burning fireplace inside the home, as well as plenty of cosy blankets and board games. Inside, the design is rustic in places, as with the weathered wood dining table, but the sleek black kitchen and stylish bedrooms are nothing but modern.

When it comes to filling up your itinerary, there's so much to see and do nearby. The sprawling South Downs National Park starts a minute's drive to the north, while the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty sits a similar amount of time in the opposite direction. The town of Bognor Regis and its beach can be reached in twenty-five minutes.




Teddy Bear's Picnic

Unplug and reconnect with loved ones in this magnificent coastal home. This is a contemporary yet homely haven, set in just under one acre of mature gardens, filled with fruit trees and weeping willows. Natural light is ushered into the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, the true heart of the home, and deep comfortable sofas, a natural palette and beautiful log burners welcome you in and wrap you up in a hug. Enjoy a movie night in front of the flat-screen TV – but only after you’ve indulged in a divine feast at the sprawling dining table, neatly tucked amongst a corner of windows. Sneak off for a relaxing bubble bath with a glass of Prosecco in hand, and it will be the most wonderful way to unwind. 
 
After a restful night’s sleep under the crisp white sheets, you’ll awake feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. Indulge in a morning coffee sat next to the lavender, listening to the hum of the bees for a peaceful morning treat. This home is a magical escape bringing together coast, town and country effortlessly. 

Wind in Your Sails

They say that first impressions are everything and we defy anybody not to be wowed upon laying eyes upon this Georgian property close to the West Sussex – the handsome brickwork, large sash windows and manicured front garden give off a real air of grandeur.

We're happy to report that this attention to appearance continues inside. The design treads the fine balance between heritage and modernity rather adroitly, with antique furnishings and decorative items sitting quite happily alongside more contemporary artworks and a smart kitchen. As well as looking the part, you won't struggle to get cosy in the pair of living rooms, complete with shelves packed full of books, a fireplace and a grand piano next to the bay window.

Nor will there be any difficulty in finding somewhere to unwind in the large garden during bursts of warm weather. Little ones will love bouncing about on the trampoline, while there's a large alfresco table that is the perfect setting for an alfresco dinner party – as well as a barbecue to help make that a reality.

If you're ever in need of ingredients, there's a farm shop just next door to the home. You don't have to go far to find distractions, either. The seaside village of Selsey is just over five minutes' drive away and there's a great choice of beaches in the local area, including West Wittering about twenty minutes away in the car. The cathedral city of Chichester takes a similar amount of time northwards, too.

Dashing Gentleman

Located in the small village of Birdham, this recently refurbished country home is perfect for families looking to escape the city. We particularly love the dining room conservatory –  an ideal place to eat breakfast while enjoying the views of the fields beyond your private garden. The home is just a short walk from several footpaths, for those keen to explore the countryside on foot. With West Wittering just a short drive away, you can also be at the beach in no time. 


Fields of Birdham

Relax and unwind at this ecologically-minded stylish surfside retreat, just a five-minute walk from the Blue Flag-awarded sands of West Wittering Beach. 

On the ground floor, you'll find a minimalist open layout that's tailor-made for sociable stays, with plenty of space for everyone to sink into one of the comfortable sofas, play board games around the dining table and prepare family meals in the kitchen. Make the most of sunny days and step through the sliding doors and out into the garden, with its wooden deck and stepping stones winding between raised flower beds.

Its four bedrooms are split between the ground and first floors. The upstairs bedrooms are decked out in trendy OSB, which does away with the need for plastering and painting and adds a warm glow that only natural materials can bring.

The nearby beach is the undoubted star of your stay. However, there's plenty more to discover within a short drive. East Wittering is well-catered for when it comes to cafes, pubs and stocking up on essentials. Thrill seekers might like to book themselves a kitesurfing lesson, with kayaking and paddleboarding offering slightly more sedate options.

A little under 10 miles away, the pedestrianised centre of the cathedral city of Chichester is a pleasant place to while away an afternoon. Alternatively, listen to the roar of the engines at Goodwood's iconic motor racing circuit or the shouts of the crowds urging on their picks at Goodwood Racecourse.

The Ebbing Tide

A short drive away from the Chichester Golf Club, the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the coast, this beautiful countryside home caters to anyone looking to explore South East England, but a rural location also makes it a retreat for relaxation. Once you’ve spent one morning out in the fresh air, dining al fresco in the garden, you’ll understand what we mean. Let the tranquillity seep into your bones as you nurse a cup of coffee on the sun lounger as you overlook the rolling green landscape.

Walk moments away to find an award-winning pub where you can spend afternoons in a quintessentially British way as you bask in the sunny beer garden. 

When not enjoying the outdoors, find your place inside, where countryside charm is the order of the day. Enjoy fresh fruit and Full English breakfasts in the farm-style kitchen, family movie night around the fireplace in the living room, and you’ll be guaranteed to find the bookworms in the small, private library.

Newly renovated, light-filled and united by a sophisticated, neutral palette, you'll feel right at home here. Sunny days call for lazy alfresco brunches on the terrace while little ones and their four-legged friends burn off some energy on the vast manicured lawns. Then pack up your beach bags and head to the seafront for kite flying and paddling – or up the ante with kayaking and paddleboard hire in West Wittering. And when tummies start to rumble, you can easily pop back home to rustle up a picnic or swing by the local beachfront café.

Meanwhile, wintery days are all about bracing beach walks for a dose of sea air before hunkering down back home. Break out the home's board games around the dining table.
