Picture this: a beautiful Costwolds cottage with roses round the door and idyllic views over the neighbouring countryside. Set over three floors, this historic home retains heaps of character, with exposed stone walls and ancient wood beams, alongside contemporary alterations like a sparkling new kitchen and a glass panel staircase. Cosy and smartly furnished, the living room's feature fireplace has a log burner for warming up on winter evenings and leads through to a stylish dining space with log storage built into the wall. Equipped with everything you could need to cook at home, the kitchen is lit by a huge ceiling lantern and a big window. Bedrooms are classic country style and we particularly love the freestanding bathtub in the main bathroom and the pretty bedroom on the top floor. The house shares a rear courtyard with some neighbouring properties but a large, private garden lies across the lane to the front. 

The Vintage Room

Escape to the Cotswolds with this converted coach house dating back to 1865. It has an idyllic setting surrounded by communal lawns and countryside views. There’s a private terrace with a hot tub too – perfect for relaxing in. Inside, there’s a log burner for when the weather turns cooler and there’s air conditioning for hotter days. Just a couple of things to note – there’s a winding staircase to the first floor, and the ceilings here are on the low side. Out and about, the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum is a short walk away. Or go for a pub lunch at the village inn at Sherston, just over two miles from this home.

Sitting on the water’s edge of a private estate, this contemporary home makes the perfect setting for a lakeside retreat. Spread across three floors, the rooms have been thoughtfully curated for large groups in search of ease, comfort and plenty of space to socialise. There is a wood-burning fire, a balcony and a decked terrace with a barbecue – making it easy to sit back and admire the views. You can also enjoy access to the on-site shared swimming pool, spa, gym and tennis courts. And for explorations further afield, it’s just a short drive to Cirencester, Stroud and Burford.

Spoiled with lake views from three south-facing balconies, this home is ideal for hot tub hangouts and alfresco barbecues – or why not arrange a private dining experience? That said, the Cotswolds offers countryside pastimes, chocolate-box villages, and Roman history in nearby Cirencester.

Wildflower Corner

Get close to nature at this sprawling country farmhouse fringing the ancient village of Shipton Moyne in Gloucestershire. Set within thirty acres of pasture and woodlands fronted by a glistening lake, there's much exploring to do. Kids will love you for that newly-refurbished pool house, while sporty types can take advantage of the tennis court. Inside, there's a more-is-more opulence to its timeless interiors that may not appeal to you minimalists out there – but those open fires and rolltop baths will soon win you over. Fancy a change of scene? Shipton Moyne's local pub is just a stroll away for hearty grub. Or jump in the complimentary convertible Jeep and take in a match at Beaufort Polo Club (just a two-minute drive away) – you'll be in good company.

Located on a holiday park immersed in acres of natural beauty, the glass-panelled rear wall makes sure guests can make the most of the views wherever they are in the home. Nestled in a private estate, you’ll be treated to south-facing lake views from the garden and there’s a balcony as well as a barbecue for alfresco dining. Inside, the rooms are simple, fresh and thoughtfully designed for entertaining as well as relaxation. You’ll have access to the spa with a communal swimming pool and there’s an on-site restaurant as well as a small market shop. And when it comes to adventures, you can hire bikes and water equipment for fun on the lake. 


Butterfly Love

Dating back to the 1880s, this former barn now provides a beautiful countryside cottage experience for families exploring The Cotswolds. Though it's since undergone renovations, it takes pride in the stone floors, exposed walls and beams, adding character and charm to the space, even if the sloped ceilings mean taller guests have to watch their heads. At least there's no ducking outside where an expansive garden gives you more than enough space. You'll also find the seasonal swimming pool, fire pit, alfresco dining table and, if requested, a hot tub out here. As for location, you're within easy driving distance of Cotswolds treasures such as Tetbury, Malmesbury and Cirencester. 

Oak & Honey

Residing in a line of terrace Georgian townhouses, this honey-coloured cottage is as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside. And located within walking distance from Tetbury town centre, you'll have the town's local shops, restaurants and pubs at. your easy convenience. Distinguished by its quintessential duck-egg blue front door and pretty bay trees framing its front sash window, expect to be impressed from the moment you arrive. Step inside and you'll see that the interiors are just as heavenly, as you'll immediately get a sense of the property's rich heritage dating back to the 18th Century.
