Set on a working farm between Monmouth and Abergavenny, this home promises a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. If you don’t feel like going too far, you’ll find a natural swimming pond and 100 acres of land to roam here, along with the Offa's Dyke Path. If that’s not enough, hikers can also enjoy the trails of the Black Mountains, in the southeast corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Of course, you may prefer to kick back and relax during your stay – if so, the wood-fired hot tub, rolltop bath, and wood burner are ready to take your vacation relaxation to the next level.

The Magic of Monmouthshire

Only minutes away from the Royal North Devon Golf Club, this home – coincidentally built by the same designer in 1865 – is the perfect option for large groups looking to explore the Devon coastline.

And as much as this is a haven for golfing enthusiasts, it’s also the ideal location for beach lovers who get to spend sun-drenched days on Westward Ho! Beach. You can see those very shores from the perched hot tub in the backyard. Ease yourself into the warm water with a glass of wine and enjoy the views as you relax after a day of activity.

Inside, find plush furnishings in muted greys, greens, and blues that come alive in the natural light of the large windows. There’s an understated elegance that works beautifully alongside the modern and homely elements of this home. You can probably see yourself at the kitchen counter, enjoying a cup of coffee as you wait for the rest of the group to join you at the dining table for breakfast.

We recommend at least one long, luxurious bubble bath in the clawfoot bath, and why not savour a glass of Prosecco as you take in the views from the small window right next to the tub?

Midnight Velvet

Tucked at the highest, most secluded point of a private country estate, this barn is reached along a winding woodland path. Vaulted ceilings and big windows flood the living space with light, while outside, wraparound decking frames long valley views and a private hot tub. A short walk away, a communal indoor pool, games room, and outdoor play areas keep everyone occupied, and twenty acres of meadows, streams, and woodland trails are yours to roam.

Rafters & Rye

This riverside retreat overlooks the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve. Outside, you can enjoy stunning views while relaxing in the garden. There’s a hot tub and a wood-fired sauna as well as a cold plunge tub – setting the tone for a rejuvenating stay. You can also enjoy cosy gatherings around the indoor log-burner and there are books and games to keep everyone entertained. And when it comes to activities, you can take a canoe or kayak out on the water. There are some beautiful hiking trails close by and it’s just a short drive into the centre of Cardigan.

River of Love

We dare you to find a home with a more spectacular view of Carmarthenshire's coastline than this. Perched on a hill overlooking Pendine's seven miles of golden sands below, the panoramic sea views reach far and wide, from the Carmarthen Bay to the Gower peninsula.

Every inch of this palatial, luminous home is designed with those vistas in mind. Curl up in the sumptuous king-size bed of the main suite with a cuppa and lose yourself to the horizon. Pad out across the porcelain tiled veranda and slip into the hot tub. Bring your ensemble together on the top floor for lazy breakfasts in the vast living area, awash in deep blues and restful greys. Or come together for sunset cocktails and barbecues on the expansive terrace – the outdoor mood lighting will help set the ambience. Wherever you choose to be, those magnificent seascapes will be right there.

If you can bear to part your gaze, if just for a while, the silky sands and charming promenade of Pendine are just a nine-minute drive away. A traditional, understated seaside resort – it's all chalets, fish'n'chips, and windbreaks – just as it should be. But be sure to make it home for dusk - the sunset views from the hot tub are out-of-this-world.

Once Upon a Tide

Leave your laptop at home, turn off your phone and enjoy the thrill of freedom from the tyranny of your gadgets as you enjoy a digital detox at this stunning getaway on the North Pembrokeshire coast.

Your eco-minded hosts built this cedar shepherd's hut with their guests' needs in mind – namely, escaping the everyday hustle and bustle and offering a chance to reconnect with nature, themselves and their partner.

Your hosts have found space for a comfy king-size mattress despite the compact footprint. Given the lack of light pollution out here, stargazing through the skylight from the comfort of your bed is truly breathtaking. Elsewhere, the kitchenette is perfect for cooking up light bites to eat at the dining table or in the outdoor dining area.

Set within its own private garden, the outdoor space has been planted with seasonal herbs, flowers and salad, which you're more than welcome to help yourself to. In addition, a fire pit makes for atmospheric evenings in nature.

Away from the charming retreat, you're a stone's throw from the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and approximately six miles from both the beautiful holiday hotspot of Newport and the bustling market town of Cardigan.

Beneath a Starlit Sky

Perched above Lee Bay with clifftop terraces on both sides, this North Devon house frames open sea views from almost every angle – through floor-to-ceiling bedroom doors at dawn, over the barbecue at dusk, and from the log-burning lounge on darker evenings (the perfect spot for stargazing). A wood-panelled original wing is another surprise, while the modern gym means fitness routines don't have to pause even on holiday. Lee Bay beach is moments away via the garden gate, and the South West Coast Path starts right in the village.

Cliffside & Tide

Set just moments from the sands at Wiseman’s Bridge, this sleek bolthole is made for salt-air mornings and sea-soaked days. Wake to rolling views across the bay, slip out for an early swim, then wander the coastal path straight from your door – with a friendly pub nearby for post-beach lunches and golden-hour drinks. Inside, the open-plan living space is calm and uncluttered, keeping the focus firmly on the view, while the generous balcony space ensures you can step out and enjoy the sunshine from dusk 'til dawn. With Saundersfoot and Tenby close at hand, you're ideally placed for exploring Pembrokeshire’s beaches, castles and hidden coves.

Serene Seaside Views

Don't be fooled by the rustic exterior of this eco-lodge nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills. Inside, this pristine home offers every creature comfort you could imagine from a countryside retreat. Stunning scenery takes centre stage here – and rightly so. One glance at the rolling countryside from the wrap-around deck, and you'll see why. Come together for lazy breakfasts in the sociable kitchen and dining area with the patio doors slid right back to let the sunshine in. Pad out onto the deck to soak away the morning in the hot tub. Sneak back to the king-sized bed with a freshly brewed coffee and a good book. Or fire up the barbecue and gather your troops for some alfresco dining. Wherever you choose to be, those stunning vistas will be right there. And when the great outdoors finally comes calling, you won't have far to go. Set within a 14-acre estate, pop your wellies on and explore the surrounding verdant landscape. Or jump in the car for a stroll around the charming village of Cheddar (less than ten minutes drive). And a little further, the historic city of Wells (twenty-minute drive) - home to a picturesque cathedral, the beautiful Bishop's Palace, and a twice-weekly farmer's market for all the cheese and cider you could muster.

Deck Out

Located just a four-minute walk from the beach and shops of Wisemans Bridge, this home offers a comfortable stay for those looking to explore the beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast. Laid out over two floors, you’ll find plenty of nautical nods in the decor, as well as a cosy fireplace in the living area – perfect for curling up by on cooler nights with a glass of wine. Further comforts include a pair of en-suite bedrooms – we’re particularly smitten with the freestanding tub – and a garden complete with outdoor seating, ideal for dining alfresco on warm summer evenings.

Countryside Charm

Set right on the sands at Wiseman’s Bridge, this stylish coastal retreat puts the sea firmly front and centre. Step outside and the beach is yours to explore – from rock pools and paddleboarding to coastal walks along the Pembrokeshire Path – with a friendly pub just moments away. Inside, the apartment is compact but cleverly designed, with an open-plan living space that feels light, airy and perfectly framed by the sea views. The balcony is a little front-row perch for sunrise coffees or evening drinks as the waves lap below. With Saundersfoot and Tenby just a short drive away, it’s a simple, laid-back hideaway for couples or small families who want the beach as their own backyard.

Beach Haven Bay

With breathtaking panoramas from every vantage point, this home is a gem. You'll be able to enjoy the views from the private hot tub and garden – although our favourite is the glimpses of the River Severn and Old Severn Bridge from the main bedroom. There’s the all-important log burner for when the weather gets chillier, too. This home is set on a working dairy farm, and your host is happy to give you a tour of the farm – something the kids will probably adore. Just bear in mind, at certain times of the year, the farm can be busy. When you feel like exploring a little further afield, you can visit Chepstow Castle or Lydney in the Forest of Dean.
