Take advantage of sunny afternoons with an invigorating walk through your locale or pack your seaside essentials and drive for ten minutes to Talacre Beach. After a bracing paddle, nip over to Prestatyn for its traditional pubs and laidback restaurants. Head home in the early evening to watch the sunset from your enviable vantage point then retreat to the quiet bedrooms for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Head through the main entrance, and into the ground-floor apartment where you will find a spacious, open plan living area. Enjoy a lounge with Smart TV and WIFI included for guest use. A superb modern and well-equipped kitchen, where you can make the most of the electric oven, induction hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and freezer to rustle up delicious meals.

Recently renovated with comfort in mind, you will find two double bedrooms, plus a modern family bathroom, with standalone bath, shower, WC and basin.

Immerse yourself in your surroundings by taking a stroll through the bustling coastal town, where you will find a large selection of pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops.

The Bryn Mawr

If you’ve been craving a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, this country cottage in the heart of Shropshire could be just what the doctor ordered. Situated just thirty minutes from the centre of Shrewsbury, this riverside retreat is ideal for families – furry friends included – or a small circle of friends, boasting three snug bedrooms and a generous kitchen, perfect for cooking as a group.  

Start your day with a cup of coffee at the breakfast bar then wander down to the river for a dip in the natural plunge pool. You’re surrounded by 10 acres of greenery here, so why not make the most of it? Go for a gentle stroll in the fresh air, keeping an eye out for local wildlife, or ask your host to help you arrange a private yoga session in the great outdoors.  When dusk falls, head down to the quarry firepit for an evening of stargazing or slip into your private hot tub and treat yourself to a long soak beneath the trees.

Snowy by the River

This delightful townhouse is on the beachfront of quiet Rhos-on-Sea. For a coastal getaway and the chance to experience the charm of a small town, look no further. 

The house is just across the road from the beach, so each morning you’ll wake up to the sound of the sea gently rushing to shore. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room showcase the home’s prime beachfront location – if you’re anything like us, you’ll lose track of how long you spend gazing at the peaceful view. There’s a small garden at the front of the house, where you might enjoy a cuppa while watching the fishing boats in the distance, as well as a sunny patio at the back of the house, ideal for takeaway dinners of fish and chips after long days spent on the beach. 

When you’ve had your fill of sailing, swimming and sea fishing from the beach, there’s still plenty to explore nearby. You might like to bring your bikes and set off along the coastal track. Conwy and its gorgeous castle are just twelve minutes away by car, which makes for a lovely afternoon out. Pop into a cafe for lunch before visiting the castle and taking in the history. Snowdonia National Park is also within easy reach, so any hikers in your group will be happy – a thirty-two-minute drive will see you setting off on walks that guarantee gorgeous scenery. 


Sandcastles & Salty Air

There aren't many homes in our collection where you could feasibly arrive by kayak rather than by car, but this is one of them. Perched on the side of the Menai Strait, this four-storey gem dates back to the Victorian era and benefits from beautiful views of the sea, Bangor Pier and the Snowdonia mountain range. This can be enjoyed from the big bay windows or the comfort of the outdoor terrace. Better still, you can head down to the home's private shingle beach which also has a small cave to explore. Back inside the home, the interior is traditional, with portraits hanging on the walls and a large wooden dining table a regal centrepiece to gather the group around after the day's excursions. The town of Beaumaris with its castle, pier and beach take just six minutes to reach in the car, while you can get to Penrhyn Zip World in twenty minutes if you're looking for hi-octane thrills.

The Marquess

There were plenty of reasons why this penthouse apartment made it into our collection, but let's start with the most obvious. When guests step out onto the ornate white balcony, they're greeted with stunning views over the Dyfi Estuary and Cardigan Bay, stretching all the way down the Ceredigion Coastline. As is often the case with coastal locations, there's just so much sky and this uninterrupted panorama brings the added benefit of meaning the interior is flooded with natural light through the windows and skylights. This is emphasised pleasingly by the stark white walls and it makes for a wonderfully bright space to sprawl out on the tan leather sofa. As you can probably tell from looking out the window, Aberdyfi Beach sits just across the street and there are cafes and pubs along the seafront for when you fancy a refreshment. Slightly further afield, there are opportunities for birdwatching in RSPB Ynys-hir and Dyfi Osprey Project, both taking around half an hour to reach in the car.

The Bells of Aberdyfi

In the idyllic mining own of Blaenau Ffestiniog, this home was once an old chapel dating back to 1861. The building has been lovingly renovated, featuring an open-plan kitchen and snug area ideal for family living. There’s a pool table here too, which is boung to keep both the kids and grown-ups entertained for a few hours. When it comes to things to see and do, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities. We recommend heading into town to rent bikes and exploring some of the many biking routes on offer, which will have you riding past old quarries, lakes and rivers.

The Chapel Doors

This stylish and contemporary home offers a sea-side holiday home for up to 15 guests in the Welsh coastal town of Pwllheli. Grab a seat at the breakfast bar and snack on fresh ingredients from the local farm shop or gather everyone round the dining table to feast on a traditional English breakfast – think smoky bacon, fried eggs and buttery toast – before heading out to explore the area. Fans of the outdoors will love it here – not only are you within striking distance of the River Perry, but it’s less than an hour’s drive to the Shropshire Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty full of hiking trails that’ll delight even the most experienced rambler. Go for a leisurely stroll through the gorgeous countryside, then come home and treat your muscles to a long soak in the private hot tub. Bliss.  

Roscoe by the River

Snuggled at the southern point of Snowdonia National Park in Sarnau, this quaint abode is made for rural exploration. If you don't fancy the challenging terrains of Snowdon, there are various walking and cycling trails close by to the cottage.

This snug home infuses a homespun and rustic feel with modern comforts. Find stone walls and wooden beams looking into a TV, DVD player and contemporary cooking items. It's the perfect blend of tradition and technology. 

To really capture the privacy and peace of your home, sit out on the garden bench and admire the stunning views. Situated in a quiet hamlet, the only sounds you'll hear are from the animals in the nearby fields.

If you'd prefer to get out and explore the nearby area, the encompassing landscape is blessed with numerous mountain biking trails. If two wheels aren't your scene, Bala is just four miles away and is an oasis of water sports, abseiling and kayaking.

Once you've explored the diverse scenery around your tranquil haven, visit the welcoming pubs and restaurants around Bala. For a real Welsh treat, a Michelin star restaurant resides up the road in Llandrillo.

Bike House

Built a few years ago, this beautiful conversion may still bear some resemblance to a barn with its stone clad facade, but that’s where the similarities end. Inside you’ll find simple, clean lines and, apart from a few pops of colour, a fairly neutral colour palette. Stylish, and clearly modern, the home’s crowning glory is the wide expanse of green that can be admired from the front door. Stare out over the beautiful dips and peaks as you take your seat at the wrought-iron table outside and nurse your first cup of coffee of the day. 

Breakfast can also be enjoyed out here if you prefer, although the wood dining table in the living space is elegant, and with its position right next to a window, you don’t entirely lose sight of the scenic views on offer. 

With a real focus on reconnecting you with nature, most of the ground floor rooms open up to let the fresh country air in – take a nap on the cushy bed with the doors ajar and wake up refreshed. 

Walk the grounds or watch the little ones run around on the lawn whilst you enjoy a glass of wine in a sun lounger. This is also a great spot for sunsets, but before that, you can drive out and explore the rural Welsh beauty of this area, you might want to stop off at the Rhug Estate Farm Shop and drive-thru, about six minutes away, to refuel before perhaps enjoy two splendid nearby reservoir walks: Brenig and Alwyn

The Valley Barn

Picture the scene — you've just spent a long day in the great Welsh outdoors and you're faced with the choice of snuggling up by the crackling log burner, lying back into a steamy bath or sitting out in the garden and watching the sky go through its dramatic daily transformation. This is the sort of difficult decision you face when you choose this cute cottage as your next getaway.

This is a home that's completely dedicated to cosiness, right down to the rustic decor touches, like the wooden ceiling beams and soft furnishings. Another way to feel completely at peace is by looking through the wide window in the master bathroom, which faces Malltraeth Marsh, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest that's great for birdwatching.

It's also possible to see Snowdonia from this address and you can be inside the National Park in half an hour's drive. Closer to home, it takes thirteen minutes in the car to reach the beach at Traeth Mawr or twenty minutes for the two-thousand-acre Newborough Forest.
