Super luxurious yet charmingly old-school, this manor sits in the charming town of Penally, near Tenby. So as well as having cosy country pubs and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path on your doorstep, it’s just a six-minute drive into the centre of Tenby to explore the castle and beach. The home itself stands bay-windowed and bold, bright white against the blue sky. Built around 1840, it’s a Grade II listed building with two acres of stepped, walled garden to explore. Terraces with panoramic sea views, a swimming pool with adjoining hot tub, flowerbeds bursting with bloom and secret grottos fill the grounds. When dinner calls, there are plenty of places to dine – the sunny orangery that opens out onto the terrace, the sunny cubby hole in the kitchen or in the long, formal dining room. Chefs of the group can cook in the family kitchen, or leave it to a professional and make use of the catering kitchen in the basement. Down here you’ll also find the private bar and games room, like your own personal pub. Bedrooms come in all shapes and sizes to fit couples and kids, and our favourite has to be the master with its hand-carved four-poster bed and view of the sea from the bay window. 

To The Manor Born

Leave the crowds of Cornwall behind and discover its charm for yourself with a stay at this luxury lodge nestled in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Part of an exclusive development on the periphery of Tenby, you can expect high-end holiday accommodation in a peaceful village location. Tenby’s award-winning South Beach is just a short 10-minute walk away. And should you ever tire of Tenby (though we’re not sure how),  the seaside village of Saundersfoot and the market town of Narberth are just a 20-minute drive away. How’s that for a location? Back at the lodge, you’ll find sleek, modern interiors and high-spec finishes throughout. With each of the three bedrooms boasting luxurious en-suites, we think this lodge would suit guests holidaying with extended family or friends rather well. Opening up the French doors leading to the furnished terrace reveals stunning countryside views and a very welcome surprise - a bubbling private hot tub on the deck. The perfect spot to unwind after a busy day exploring the Pembrokeshire coast.

From Tenby With Love

Blessed with beautiful beach views, this charming seaside cottage lets you watch the waves from bay window seats. Although this Grade II listed building has recently had a top-to-toe renovation, it still treasures all the traditional details. 

Downstairs, a smart seating area sits under skylights and looks out onto your small patio – why not read a book here? In every room of the house, you'll love the timeless interior design – think wood beams and a clawfoot bathtub.  

Climb the stripped-back staircase, there you will find an open-plan living space. You can bake Welsh cakes in the kitchen, then swap stories with your loved ones on these sand-coloured sofas. Across the road, the pebbled seashore is your real playground. Dale Beach is a wide and sheltered bay, making it ideal for several watersports.

In the village, you'll find an award-winning pub and great places to eat. After bird watching on the Gann, come back and warm your hands with a real fire. Both bedrooms are equally as cosy, promising you a good night's sleep after long walks on the Pembrokeshire coast.

Sailor's Rest

Swap the big smoke for the great outdoors at this converted barn, tucked away at the foot of Angel Mountain, close to the Pembrokeshire coast. 

Nestled amidst the patchwork hills of the Welsh countryside, you could feel a million miles from civilisation here –⁠ which is just how we like things. But when it’s time for a change of pace, the charming seaside town of Newport (six-minute drive) is an afternoon well spent – as is the mighty Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its vast sandy beaches and secluded coves (eleven-minute drive).
 
Back at this quirky bolthole retreat, exposed stonework shows the bones of this barn's past, while vintage furniture and objects de art add layers of interest and heaps of style. A home for all seasons, on long summer nights, slide the bifold doors right back and stoke up the barbecue – the firepit will help keep the night flowing as a carpet of stars appear overhead. In winter months, hunker down inside and soak up the countryside vistas through the floor-to-ceiling picture windows - that snuggle seat by the wood-burning stove has got your name on it. 

Wild Angels

Set within a beautiful garden landscape, this modern log cabin provides an ideal getaway for those looking for fun, relaxation and easy access to the coast. Just a seven-minute walk from the charming village of St Florence yet boasting a peaceful locale that feels like you’re away from it all, you’ll have no trouble easing into leisurely living here. Inside your home, the rustic log cabin feel is reflected in the cosy, comfortable furnishings with a wood-burner in the living room inviting you to snuggle up by it over wine and board games. The two bedrooms are wonderfully peaceful and ensure you get a blissful night’s sleep while outside, the deck beckons celebratory sundowners and the picnic table is all set to host alfresco barbecue feasts beneath the stars. When you’re ready to go out and explore, St Florence has a host of pubs and shops to discover, while Tenby – and its award-winning beaches – is just eight minutes away by car.  


Lady Laurel

This Grade II listed seaside cottage is the perfect base for relaxing breaks on the Pembrokeshire coast. It was lovingly restored and modernised in 2021, so while it still retains its historic charm – and traditional features and layout – it’s now a wonderfully comfortable and cosy cottage. 

The cottage sits just across the road from the sea, so you can be paddling in the shallows of Dale’s beach in no time. From the water sports centre in Dale, you can try your hand at any number of activities, including sailing, surfing, and kayaking. We’d be tempted to give paddleboarding a go, followed by a hearty meal in the award-winning village pub. Of course, you might choose to fish for your supper instead?

Nature-lovers will have plenty to keep them entertained too, with a whole host of coastal walks to enjoy. You might partake in a spot of bird watching on the Gann, or take the ferry to Skomer Island to see the puffins in summer. 

However you spend your days, you’ll be glad to have such a pleasant home from home to return to. When the weather is fine you can tuck into picnic lunches on the front lawn, and admire the sea view as you dine. When it’s a little colder, nothing beats curling up in the living room to play board games together.

Nearby Newport beach is perfect for a coastal day before returning home to enjoy the sunset and sea views from the terrace.

This well-sized property has all the charm you'd expect from a traditional cottage. The perfect cosy place to stay, sleeping two people, The Apple Store has everything you should need. On entering the property, you're met with the rustic stone walls of the open plan living room/kitchen area. The comfortable sofas are set in front of the gorgeous log burner, perfect for cosy evenings in. Enjoy the widescreen TV as you relax in front of the fire, or do a spot of cooking in the kitchenette, complete with an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink and a fridge. There's even a pull-out dining table for two. On the ground floor you'll also find the modern bathroom with shower for your use.

Upstairs you'll find the mezzanine bedroom, with a comfortable King size bed and dressing table. This space is full of natural lighting in the day and is a cosy sanctuary at night, perfect for a romantic getaway!

Outside of the property, you have your own private courtyard with outdoor furniture including a table and chairs and a hot tub for your enjoyment.

The Apple Store is the ideal spot for a couples getaway, with an abundance of character and charm and a stunning countryside location, you're sure to have a tranquil stay here.

Enchanting Cottage

Fun and relaxation come easy at this modern log cabin, located just a seven-minute walk from the charming village of St Florence. With its timber exterior surrounded by garden landscapes, you’ll feel utterly at peace in this gorgeous getaway. Inside, rustic cosiness is the name of the game with contemporary furnishings inviting you to kick back and relax beside the wood-burning fire in the open-plan living space. Fire up the TV (equipped with Netflix) for a movie marathon or enjoy a glass of wine by the glow of the fire while playing board games. At sunset, head out to the front deck for a glass of bubbly as the sky turns to shades of pink and gold before lighting the barbecue for an alfresco feast under the stars. When it’s time to turn in, the two bedrooms wait to drift you into a peaceful night’s sleep.
