The comfortable sofas are set in front of the gorgeous log burner, perfect for cosy evenings in. Enjoy the widescreen TV as you relax in front of the fire, or do a spot of cooking in the kitchenette, complete with an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink and a fridge. There's even a pull-out dining table for two. On the ground floor you'll also find the modern bathroom with shower for your use.

Only a short distance from the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast, this charming cottage is the ideal destination for anyone looking to try windsurfing at Broad Haven, diving at Little Haven, or surfing in Newgales. But for those of us who feel a little more at ease on dry land, well, you can head to the Mayfield Golf Centre not even ten minutes away by car, or see the exquisite vistas of the area by walking along the coastal paths.

Enjoy a spot of shopping in Haverfordwest – a lovely twenty-five minute walk, or five minutes by car if you’re in a hurry – and sit down to enjoy lunch at one of the local pubs. There’s also a town museum if you’re interested in learning of the county's roots. 

After a long day on your feet you can retreat to this little stone cottage where you’ll be met by a neutral colour palette that benefits from the skylights in the vaulted ceiling. Some of the original features, especially visible in the facade, remain from its days as a traditional stone barn. Expect exposed brick and beam, modernised by the sleek kitchenette and cushy furnishishings. 

Drag out the board games for a night or friendly competition, or select one of the books in the little library to enjoy curled up on the sofa. The fireplace is a brilliant feature for cooler evenings and if you want to really elevate the cosiness, we encourage a big cup of cocoa.

This Grade II listed seaside cottage is the perfect base for relaxing breaks on the Pembrokeshire coast. It was lovingly restored and modernised in 2021, so while it still retains its historic charm – and traditional features and layout – it’s now a wonderfully comfortable and cosy cottage. 

The cottage sits just across the road from the sea, so you can be paddling in the shallows of Dale’s beach in no time. From the water sports centre in Dale, you can try your hand at any number of activities, including sailing, surfing, and kayaking. We’d be tempted to give paddleboarding a go, followed by a hearty meal in the award-winning village pub. Of course, you might choose to fish for your supper instead?

Nature-lovers will have plenty to keep them entertained too, with a whole host of coastal walks to enjoy. You might partake in a spot of bird watching on the Gann, or take the ferry to Skomer Island to see the puffins in summer. 

However you spend your days, you’ll be glad to have such a pleasant home from home to return to. When the weather is fine you can tuck into picnic lunches on the front lawn, and admire the sea view as you dine. Although this Pembrokeshire apartment underwent a recent renovation, one thing that hasn't changed is just how peaceful the view from the balcony is, with the unmistakably blue waters of Carmarthen Bay peering through the trees. It may not be the biggest outdoor space in the world, but this seaward orientation makes up for it.

Inside, the glass doors in the main living area are especially generous when it comes to natural light and this dances pleasingly off the wooden floors and white walls. When it comes to the design, it's a pretty simple affair with only a few pieces of coastal artwork nodding to the location, but it's all been executed pretty well, particularly the sleek kitchen and bathroom.

It's an area that's famous for its sparkling blue seas and dolphin-watching – you may even spot a pod from the kitchen window. Inside, it's open, bright and tastefully decorated with a mix of antique and quirky furnishings. Two of the bedrooms have dreamy sea views, and there's a magazine-worthy glass-fronted porch off the living room where you can sit with a cup of coffee and watch the morning settle over the ocean, following the line of the front garden’s picturesque water feature all the way out to the sea. For active travellers, the nearby activities are endless – you'll find golf courses, stunning beaches within walking distance, shore fishing, pony trekking and a host of cycling paths. The Ceredigion section of the All Wales Coastal Path can be joined with just a five-minute walk from home, and the area is home to a choice of local boat tour operators, should you fancy a closer look at the bay’s famous dolphins.

Found just outside the town of Narbeth in beautiful Pembrokeshire, this home is generous both when it comes to size and the number of distractions that guests will have at their disposal.

Many of these amenities lie out on the grounds, which include everything from a full-size rugby pitch with posts and a zipline to a lake and orchard perfect for peaceful strolls. Add an eight-person hot tub into the mix and you've got a property in which boredom is unlikely to rear its head.

There's plenty to like inside as well. As well as three separate living areas — including one on the first floor with pretty views of rolling countryside — we're also particularly fond of the huge kitchen fitted with sleek surfaces and smart wooden finishes.

When you want to see a little more of the local area, it's hard to know where to start. If the sun makes an appearance, why not head for Coppet Hall Beach only fifteen minutes' drive away or one of the huge number of coves and sandy spots that lie along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path? Alternatively, the charming town of Tenby lies twenty minutes away in the car.


The First Day of Spring

This seaside home is actually made up of four historic cottages, which have been combined to create one property fit for a large family or group of friends. The building is Grade-II listed, and it still maintains plenty of traditional touches from the original fireplaces to the hand-plastered walls. As there are a few different living areas, there's plenty of room for all your guests to have their own space and find their favourite chillout spot – we particularly love the cosy alcove with fabulous views across the water. The front lawn shares these fantastic vistas, making it a great place for picnics, while the terraces at the back of the home are ideal for sipping a sundowner after a day of adventure. The village of Dale has a watersports centre where you can try out sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding, and hikers will love the nearby coastal path that will lead you through this stunning area. Take a day trip over to Skomer Island for some bird-watching then, when you need to refuel, head to the local pub – it's less than a five-minute walk away.

Perched on the banks of the Teifi estuary, this renovated former sea captain's villa in southwest Wales treats guests to some spectacular waterside views.
