You're bound to want to see the Acropolis when you're in Athens, well the good news is this home is a short walk from this iconic landmark. You can even catch glimpses of it from this apartment's living room. The living space is quite roomy, which is a good job, as at full capacity, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed here. We haven't mentioned our favourite place yet – it's the balcony, the perfect spot for sundowners with its view of one of Athen's pretty churches.

The Athenian Eye

Vistas speak louder than words at this showstopping penthouse set in the heart of buzzy Athens. Offering up next-level views of the Acropolis rising majestically above the city, that vast private veranda has sundowners and sunset barbecues written all over it.

Step inside, and you can expect to do some serious drooling at this home's contemporary interiors, united by a sleek, monochrome palette. Boutique-style bedrooms feel as luxurious as the next, with two separate bathrooms to speed things along in the mornings. But it's that free-flowing and light-filled living space with expansive picture windows offering up unobstructed views of the Parthenon that's getting us hot under the collar. Seamlessly designed for socialising, there's a dining area calling out for glamourous dinner parties with a view. While that oh-so-sinkable modular sofa is just the spot to rest up after a day ambling about the city.

When it's time to explore the warren on ancient streets surrounding this home, you've got the best of the city at your feet. Soak up the vibes of the happening Koukaki quarter with its shady outside cafes and bustling bars. Blaze a trail to Syntagma Square, the heart of modern Athens. And, of course, there's always the mighty Acropolis. It's all within walking distance of the penthouse, so your only dilemma will be deciding where to head first. 

Up a Level

Among the narrow streets of Athens, located near the back entrance of the Acropolis Museum, this Art Deco-inspired apartment offers the chance to fully immerse yourself in the culture of the Greek capital. 

Inside you’ll find a treasure trove of vintage pieces, from the rich herringbone flooring to the piano that’s perfect for keeping any dinner guests entertained. There’s plenty of history to discover away from the apartment, too, with the majestic Acropolis just a stone’s throw away. Spend a day looking at mysterious artefacts that once lived inside the ancient ruins of the citadel. 

Be sure to grab a bottle of wine on your way home, which is best enjoyed from the shared roof terrace, which offers views over the Parthenon temple and beyond. When it comes to admiring the scenery, you have multiple spots to choose from – the balcony is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee and gaze upon the typical Athenian houses. 

Art of Acropolis

Ideally located just a block away from the Acropolis Museum, there’s no shortage of cultural and historic must-sees on your doorstep here. From the Acropolis of Athens itself to Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Philopappos Monument, there’s a wealth of sightseeing opportunities within easy reach, just waiting to be explored.

It's the same walking distance to Plaka, with its narrow cobblestone streets lined with shops.

Back at this home, relax on the private balcony with a glass of Greek wine, surrounded by lush plants. Or unwind inside on the mustard-coloured sofa. If you don't fancy eating out, whip up some tzatziki in the blender in the modern kitchen and enjoy it at your dining table with some souvlaki. This place is the perfect Athenian bolthole for two couples, a family or business professionals.

Back home, the open kitchen and sociable dining area make this apartment well-suited to groups of friends and families, and the small balcony is the ideal spot to begin each day with a cup of fresh Greek coffee.

Situated on the ground floor, this modern 114 sq m. three-bedroom, fully refurbished apartment is perfect for a short or long stay in the historical center of Athens. The kitchen is very well equipped, while the bedrooms have wide windows. Situated on the ground floor, featuring big large windows, the home is peacefully quiet, with natural light flooding through the floor-to-ceiling balcony doors.

Τhe property is conveniently close to public transport (the Athens metro is a few steps away) and all the main attractions.

The Historic Haven

Sitting across from the Acropolis Museum, this apartment is a great fit for those looking to discover the ancient wonders of Athens. Just a two-minute walk from the Acropolis itself, with plenty of restaurants and bars on your doorstep, this location is hard to beat. If you're in town for work, there's a desk in the bedroom for catching up. While at full occupancy it may be a bit of a squeeze, the double sofa bed is also an added bonus. Plus, you've got a private balcony to enjoy – although there's no seating, we still think it's a lovely space to perch with a Greek coffee.

The Athenian Sphinx

Located in the residential neighbourhood of Koukaki, this apartment perfectly embodies the beauty of Athens.
