The interior is a fusion of classic charm with a modern twist. When you need to refuel, you can whip up some home-cooked Greek favourites in the kitchen to share at the chic dining table. Afterwards, head out onto one of the two balconies to enjoy a glass of Greek wine in the sunshine. Or, if you're visiting during the colder months, you can curl up beside the fireplace and get cosy. 

From here, the iconic Acropolis is just a ten-minute stroll away, as is Philopappos Hill. Once you've admired the stunning views of the city and soaked up the sense of history, you can learn even more with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum – it's a twenty-minute bus ride away. And, when you need to refuel after a long day, you can take your pick from the charming local restaurants serving classic dishes.

City-break lovers, this one’s for you. You couldn’t ask for a more central location than this sixth-floor apartment right next to Syntagma Square, on one of Athens’ most affluent pedestrian streets. There’s a great city view from the balcony, and while the sofa bed two guests will be sleeping on might not be suitable for long stays, it’s a comfortable and roomy home for such a great setting. Most importantly, you’re within easy walking distance of all of Athens’ top attractions.

You couldn’t be better placed to explore the cultural and historic delights of Athens than this bright, modern apartment located in the city’s Koukaki neighbourhood. Dazzling white walls adorned with art prints, wood floors and contemporary decor combine to create a welcoming impression in the open-plan living area. Ample natural light pours in through the glass doors that lead out onto a balcony. Start mornings here with a fresh cup of Greek coffee or enjoy a glass of ouzo as you people-watch from above before setting out to sample one of the local restaurants for dinner. With a sleek, pared-back bedroom and a rainfall shower to boot, you’ve got everything needed to enjoy city living in style. 

When you’re ready to venture out for some sightseeing, you’ll find plenty to see and do within easy reach. Visit the Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis of Athens, make a beeline for the Philopappos Monument and spend a few hours admiring the works on display at the National Museum of Contemporary Art. With Plaka a ten-minute walk away too, not to mention the Metro station just a couple of minutes on foot from your door, the Greek capital’s your oyster from this central base.

With a Jacuzzi and balcony offering breathtaking views of the Acropolis, it's no surprise this apartment caught our eye. It's not the biggest pad – two guests will sleep on a sofa bed, and the kitchenette is quite small – but the stylish finish and sensational scenery make up for that. The location is fantastic, too. You'll find it in the historic quarter of Monastiraki, a fifteen-minute walk from the city's most iconic landmarks and close to a bevvy of shops and restaurants.

Athena's Outlook

Relax in this orange-themed apartment in the historic city of Athens. You'll be in a fantastic central spot, just a walk away from some of the most famous landmarks in Greece and an abundance of delicious eateries to dine in. Snuggle up on the sofa to watch a movie on Netflix as the sunlight floods in through the balcony door with a cup of coffee, followed by spending a couple of hours on the balcony cushions with your new favourite book. 

Later in the afternoon, head out to the streets to visit the popular Acropolis, an ancient landmark that is a perfect backdrop for those holiday photos. Tangerine Melopita

A stay at this sleek top-floor apartment places you in a prime position to explore the countless points of interest in the historically and culturally rich Greek capital, Athens.
