Set among sun-kissed sand dunes, just a few steps from the beach, this home is in a heavenly spot – and the villa is just as divine as the location. Almost every room offers spectacular sea views, and six of the bedrooms enjoy direct access to the sand, so you can start your day with a shoreline stroll. Add in an idyllic infinity pool, luxurious outdoor kitchen, and ample space to sunbathe, and you have everything you need for a blissful break.

Olive's Whisper

Soak up the brilliantly blue views from this stellar holiday home. It sits up high, overlooking the incredible Elounda Bay – but the prime position is not the only elevated thing about this home. It's been created to ensure every guest can enjoy pure relaxation – there's a multi-level outdoor area with plenty of space for each guest to soak up the sunshine, including from the stunning freeform infinity pool, as well as the covered dining terrace where you can sip cocktails at sunset. Inside the home is stylish and modern, yet still retains a ton of traditional Cretan charm, with its whitewashed walls and built-in furniture.

Apollinia

Searching for postcard views over Crete's shoreline? Look no further than this tranquil villa, where poolside relaxation feels even better after a workout in the private gym. Professional chefs and beauticians are on call and ready to make this holiday a treat for everyone. With on-site parking awaiting, day trips to Agios Nikolaos are easy, but we love that Almyros Beach is only a ten-minute stroll away – there, you can swim in the Ionian Sea and sip cocktails on the sand.

The Green of It All

With gorgeous views of Agios Nikolaos and the glistening sea, this studio-style apartment is perfectly suited for a relaxing coastal stay. Akti Koundourou Beach is just a few steps away, with the lively harbour a short walk from your door. When you're not out exploring the local tavernas, cafes and landmarks, spend unhurried mornings sipping your espresso on the private balcony with panoramic views. Another highlight is the freestanding bathtub, while we appreciate the high-end touch that's been given to the entire apartment. Only a small kitchenette is available, so don't expect to cook big meals here – that said, you've got plenty of dining options practically on your doorstep.

Dramatic Sea

With its Ionic style columns and grand proportions, this home has the air of a modern-day Minoan palace. Inside, this seaside mansion is adorned with art by prominent Italian artists. Ascend the striking black marble staircase and admire the Ferma Beach, sea and mountain vistas from the sumptuous bedroom suites. As well as the stunning views, you’ll find gorgeous carved wooden beds, chandeliers and marble bathrooms – we especially love the room with the slipper bath – perfect for a soak with a glass of Champagne. 

There’s a games room here, too, to keep everyone occupied. This villa is ideal for a group of friends or a large family, not least because it has a separate bungalow that offers added privacy for those that want it.

Outside is no less impressive – spend idyllic days lounging by the pool being fed grapes, or feast alfresco on the typically Cretan specialities and wine that your lovely hosts provide as a welcome. If you want to feel the warm sands of Ferma Beach between your toes, there’s a private stairway down from this home. This place is truly a feast for the senses.



Minoan Palace

This modern villa’s views over the Aegean Sea are breathtaking, no matter what time of day. Whether you’re admiring the blue vistas from the private pool in the afternoon or over an alfresco barbecue at sunset, you’ll find it hard to tear your eyes away from the stunning scenery. The on-site playground and three en-suite bedrooms over its two floors make it perfect for families, offering groups plenty of room, entertainment and fun at home. But should you wish to go out and explore, you need only make a beeline for nearby Agia Pelagia with its beach, bay and plethora of shops and restaurants. 


The Watercolour Sea

Pamper yourself royally at this luxurious Cretian mansion – or should we say palace? Stone columns, sleek marble, Italian artwork and antique-style chandeliers combine to create a villa worthy of the ancient kings of Crete (but with mod cons fit for the twenty-first century). Some of its magnificent bedrooms feature intricately carved headboards and free-standing tubs in the en-suites. Floor-to-ceiling windows lead to balconies and gardens all over the home, flooding the space with Mediterranean sunlight. Descend for evening meals in all your finery, via the grand staircase with its ornate banisters. The host can provide a private chef, so whether it’s a lazy brunch in the garden or a sumptuous feast in the dining area, your plates will be piled high with fresh Greek fare. For your digestif, sip watermelon cocktails by the pool, or stroll down your private path to Ferma Beach. Let the waves lap at your feet, surrounded by cliffs and lush vegetation. If you manage to venture out of your kingdom, quaint taverns, deserted coves and ancient monuments await you – or perhaps you'd rather set sail farther afield on the private yacht.

Calypso’s Kingdom

Sweeping views of the Ionian Sea take all the glory at this oh-so-contemporary villa tucked into the quiet hillsides of Crete. It’s a view best admired at sunset from the stylish alfresco terraces – the panoramas stretching to Mirabello Bay and the Sitia Mountains are spell bounding. With each bedroom offering balcony access, there’s no need to tussle for the best room here. And when it’s time to dip your toes into the local culture and hit the beach, take your pick from the pretty town of Agios Nikolaos and the bustling resort of Elounda Bay – you’re just a short drive from them both.

Emerald of the World

What's better than one luxury villa? We think two luxury villas. This plot in the east of Crete is composed of twin homes, each with their own living areas, meaning there's plenty of room for groups of friends or families who want their own space. 

Inside, these houses have a welcoming, homely feel – look out for the antique furnishings that have been passed down in the host's family for generations. Some of the bedrooms have their own access to balconies and patios, where you can enjoy your morning coffee in perfect peace. Head out to the main outdoor space, and you'll find a glittering swimming pool where you can cool off from the heat, along with a hot tub, hammocks, and plenty of sun loungers. And, when you get thirsty, simply pick some fresh lemons from one of the trees in the garden to garnish your drink.  

The water's edge is just 100m away from here, and there's a second beach just four minutes' walk away which is ideal for swimming. You'll also find a selection of restaurants and tavernas nearby for when you need to refuel. If you have a car, we recommend spending a day exploring Crete's stunning coastline, stopping off at the little harbour villages along the way. Or, head inland and hike through the Dikti Mountains – jaw-dropping views are guaranteed.  

Sun, Stars & Moon

Lap up the prime location of this luxurious holiday villa, boasting Mediterranean vistas of the mountainous landscape from the garden. Picture it now; you're lounging by the pool with a fresh cold drink in hand in blissful seclusion. From the terrace area, take full advantage of the Greek sun at every opportunity – whether you're sitting at the terrace lounge area, sinking into the bean bags or chilling out amidst the stylish interiors – an abundance of natural daylight energises this home. 

Neutral tones, chic furnishings and soft fabrics create a comfortable space to kick back after a day of discovering all that Crete has to offer. Located in the heart of Amoudara, you'll be just 5 kilometres away from the centre of Heraklion. Explore the city's medieval streets, paving the way to an array of cafes, bars and restaurants. For a more relaxed vibe, take a stroll from the villa down to the nearest beach, only 100 metres away, where you'll find a stunning stretch of sand and the ideal setting for sunbathing and swimming. 


The Parrot's Perch

We can’t imagine there’s much on your holiday wishlist that this contemporary villa doesn’t tick off. Fancy glistening sea views and access to a private beach? This home has you covered. How about a private gym and water sports equipment to get out on the deep blue sea? You’ll find that here, too. Sun seekers can also enjoy the generous terraces and private pool, hanging over the sea below. The basement bedroom even boasts a private kitchen, affording two guests extra privacy – which makes up for the lack of natural light, we think, and all adds to an unforgettable stay. 

Serenity & Sunlight

With sea views, an infinity pool and unfussy interiors, this place is not to be passed up. While the home sits adjacent to another villa, the outside space is all yours, so your alfresco dinners won’t be disturbed. Inside, mod-cons include a wine fridge and a hot tub. And if that wasn’t idyllic enough, your host can arrange massages as an optional add-on. If you feel like exploring, Mochlos Beach is close by and you have a choice of local tavernas within a five-minute walk of your doorstep.
