If you were looking for perfect locations in which to build a home, this spot on the southeastern Peneloponese coastline would be a strong contender. Surrounded by lush vegetation — including trees growing olives, almonds, pears and lemons — it also has the added perk of having direct access to a secluded beach.

Part of a collection of five villas, this home makes the most of its beautiful position with a long terrace area containing an alfresco dining table, a couple of loungers and even a giant chess set. The interior has plenty of glass doors and large windows so you can still marvel at the scenery from inside, too. We're big fans of the decor, which is contemporary in style but subtle and unshowy about it.

As well as Kissakas beach almost quite literally on your doorstep, there are further seaside options a short drive away — like Tserfos just over a quarter of an hour's drive — as well as plenty of hiking routes and the town of Leonidio about fifteen minutes away in the car.



Play the Greek Defence

On the peaceful shores of western Mani, this home provides a calm coastal escape. You’ll be welcomed by beautiful views, a private pool (heated upon request) and soothing interiors. Breakfast is included in your stay, plus the rooms are family-friendly with children’s amenities and babysitting services available upon request. Your host can also organise a range of extras including wellness treatments and private chefs – a lovely option for those seeking total relaxation. And when you’re looking to adventure further afield, Pantazis Beach is just 9.2 kilometres away, while Stoupa is just 12.9 kilometres from here.

The nearby bus route is a bonus, too, although we’d recommend a car so that you can make the most of your stay.

If you’re in the mood for a little more hustle and bustle, the city of Kalamata is a short drive away. Outside, you'll find a pool deck furnished with loungers and a dining area for meals alfresco. Inside, you have everything you need for a stress-free stay and daily housekeeping means you get to sit back and relax.

Peloponnese Pearl

Nestled within a garden of olive trees with views across the Taïgetos mountains, everything about this home celebrates the rustic beauty of its setting.

Inside, the interiors are refreshingly simple with vistas that will leave you feeling captivated by the charm of the Peloponnese. Outside, peaceful days can be spent relaxing in the garden or on nearby Pantazi beach (just a 250m walk away). The picturesque port is also nearby and provides the perfect opportunity to mingle with locals in traditional tavernas. And for explorations further afield, the region is brimming with beautiful beaches, coves, picturesque hilltop villages and spectacular hiking trails. 

Wherever the day takes you, this home provides a sanctuary to rest, relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of coastal living. Gather for dreamy sunset drinks, enjoy cooking with fresh local produce in the fully equipped kitchen or rustle up a treat on the barbecue. And, when evening rolls around, mix some cocktails to sip on the terrace before you serve up a tasty alfresco feast under the pergola.

Take a three-minute drive down into the village of Tolo to visit the long sandy beach and dine on fresh seafood at the local tavernas. The historic town of Nafplio is just twelve minutes away by car, where you'll find fascinating museums, winding streets, and even an imposing castle. And, then at the end of the day, you can head home for a long soak in the hot tub under the stars – bliss.

With the glistening waters of the Argolic Gulf and the looming landmass of Argolis on the horizon, plus olive groves and evergreen forest to either side, you couldn't ask for a better view than the one this villa enjoys.

As you would hope, there are plenty of ways to admire this panorama, whether it's while paddling in the swimming pool, dining on the terrace or catching some rays on one of the loungers.
