Set above the cliffs, this home in Neochori Village offers impressive views over the Messenian Gulf. There are multiple holiday homes here, so you’ll share the outdoor terrace and pool. Sun-soaked outdoor areas mean alfresco lounging and dining, while the interior of this home provides a welcome respite from the Mediterranean sun. The style is simple, with a well-equipped kitchen and living room – perfect for socialising after the sun goes down. Nearby you’ll find local bakeries and eateries, while the sands of Stoupa Beach are a short drive away.

Apollo & Hera

Perched right in front of the sea and offering views of Messinian Bay, this apartment delivers on location. Exploring Kalamata on foot is easy, with local taverns, restaurants, and bars within easy reach. The beach and port are also just across the street. Back home, you can rest your feet in the modern living space. Although the lofted main bedroom is comfortable and contemporary, it isn't the most private since it overlooks the lounge. Guests five and six will also be sleeping on a sofa bed, so we think it's best for shorter trips. Overall, the home lacks some creature comforts – including a washing machine and proper air conditioning – but it's a convenient place to unwind between adventures.

Messenian Magic

On the peaceful shores of western Mani, this home provides a calm coastal escape. You’ll be welcomed by beautiful views, a private pool (heated upon request) and soothing interiors. Breakfast is included in your stay, plus the rooms are family-friendly with children’s amenities and babysitting services available upon request. Your host can also organise a range of extras including wellness treatments and private chefs – a lovely option for those seeking total relaxation. And when you’re looking to adventure further afield, Pantazis Beach is just 9.2 kilometres away, while Stoupa is just 12.9 kilometres from here. 

Glowing Horizon

If you’re dreaming of a quiet Greek escape, this villa on the Messenian Gulf is pretty special. It’s tucked away on a private resort surrounded by forest, so it feels really peaceful. You’ve got your own pool and terrace with sea views – the ideal spot for lazy lunches or sunset dinners. Inside, the space is quite compact but has everything you need, with the living area opening out to a balcony overlooking the water. There are also shared tennis and basketball courts if you’re feeling active. You’ll need a car, but it’s only a ten-minute drive to Kitries Beach and about half an hour to the picturesque city of Kalamata.

The Quiet Gulf

Those who appreciate symmetry would do well to pay a visit to this idyllic address on the southern coastline of the Peloponnese peninsula.

Two handsome villas made from local Mani stone and Byzantine tiles stand side by side at the centre of the plot, separated by a picturesque foliage-covered pergola leading to the garden. Out here, you'll find a long swimming pool, as well as plenty of loungers with views of the Greek countryside. Add to this a stone barbecue and a children's play area, and it's not hard to see where summer afternoons will be passed.

The homes' interiors feel in keeping with the traditional exteriors. Look about and you'll spot antique furnishings from around the world, including an Alpine bookcase, vintage English washstand and Persian carpets. That being said, the rest of the design is fairly modern, with neutral tones and plush furnishings.

Perhaps best of all, however, is the location, which puts you just a few steps away from Ritsa Beach. There are restaurants and the start of hiking routes in the town of Kardamyli about ten minutes away on foot, too.

Identical Twins

This seafront sanctuary provides the perfect setting for a large family gathering or group retreat. Consisting of four independent villas (each with three bedrooms), you’ll find an abundance of space along with a private pool, a shared gym and a sauna. Canoes and SUP Boards are provided, plus there are a range of extra services available – including breakfast and wellness treatments. From here, you’ll have direct access to the sea, plus it’s a short stroll into Agios Dimitrios, while the nearest beaches are also within easy reach.

This stunning stone-built villa on the Mani Peninsula blends traditional character with modern comfort. First thing's first, we love the unique multi-levelled terrace and garden spaces here. Surrounded by an abundance of Mediterranean flowers, the natural environment of the villa offers a serene ambience to soak up utter seclusion. From the covered alfresco dining area to the patio lounge seating area, hammock, outside kitchen and lawned sunbathing terrace – each corner of the garden reveals a different atmospheric perching spot.

This part of Greece is recognised for its picturesque villages and breathtakingly beautiful beaches – but with Stoupa as your base, there'll be little need to venture beyond the town if you truly are looking to stay in one place. With the sea located two minutes from the villa in one direction and the local supermarket just two minutes away in the other direction – what more could you need? 



Lavender & Red Roses 

Set on a small estate beside a second, near-identical villa, this home boasts a private infinity pool and stunning views toward the Messenian Gulf. The decor isn't the most soulful and the kitchen is on the smaller side, but there's space to dine by the pool, and your host offers a range of extra services including private chefs and bookings on local excursions. You'll be out of the way of Peloponnese's most popular tourist spots, but Pantazi beach, Agios Dimitrios, and Kalamata city are reachable by car.
