Built in recent years, but fitting in perfectly with the island's signature style, it's a short walk to the beach and just a twenty-minute drive to Mykonos Town.

Inside, there's a modern, all-white theme, with pops of blue tones and some fascinating pieces of built-in furniture – like the desk, the sofas and even two of the beds. A well-equipped kitchen makes cooking at home a cinch and you can choose to eat inside or out – just outside the patio doors, a covered terrace offers a sheltered spot for meals alfresco.

By day, swim in your private infinity pool with views across the Aegean or just settle into the five-person Jacuzzi for some well-earned relaxation. There's a fitness room with all sorts of equipment if you feel the need to work out and there's always the option to arrange for an in-house massage.

What makes this home unique is its flexible accommodation, which includes the main house, where you'll find three bedrooms, and three self-contained guest suites on the lower ground floor. There's even a seventh bedroom set away from the house, built into the sloping ground beneath the pool – perfect for staff or if some of your party would prefer a little privacy. And this room even comes with an underwater window into the pool.

Just a few minutes' walk from Elia's main beach (300 metres away), with cafes and a watersports centre, you'll also be close to the town's sheltered nudist beach. And it's just 10 kilometres to Mykonos Town for special nights out.

When presented with a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea and distant islands on the horizon, it's only natural that you'd want to spend as much time admiring this scenery as possible. Thankfully, this villa makes it ridiculously easy to do so thanks to its plethora of alfresco space.

We're of the opinion that the best spot is in the infinity swimming pool, but obviously, you can't spend your whole holiday there. When it's time to towel off, take a seat on a lounger or one of the two terraces, on which a barbecue and dining table can be found. Just behind this space is a huge bifold door that opens up to the home's living space, which adds yet another option for relaxing.

The interior is soothingly appointed, with a preference for flowing fabrics and stark white walls, although there are a handful of luxurious touches, including sculptures and a rather eye-catching spherical light fitting.

When you want to see a bit more of Mykonos, Elia Beach can be reached in under twenty minutes' walk, while the island's eponymous town takes a similar amount of time to reach in the car.
