Almost entirely hidden from view, this home has an exclusive setting. Sitting behind hand-built stone walls dug from the site – there's a traditional island vernacular palette of materials such as lime-wash, stone, and wood. 

This home has been designed for laid-back summer living – lounge by the infinity pool or enjoy some cocktails in one of the many stylish seating areas. Neolithic-like standing stones support chestnut-wood pergolas casting beautiful shadows and giving shelter from the hot Mykonos sun. The rough-hewn boulders are a recurring feature, anchoring this home in the landscape – you'll find them scattered inside this villa and around the pool. We particularly love the ones that form stepping stones through the shallow water to the main outdoor living area.

In June 2022, The Aegean Retreat underwent a complete renovation and is now ready to welcome guests. Perched on a hillside with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands of Rineia and Tinos, this 150sqm modern Cycladic house boasts four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a spacious balcony, and an outdoor lounge patio spanning 80 sqm.

To ensure a comfortable stay, we provide light cleaning service every two days and bathroom amenities, fresh linen, towels, and bathrobes. The villa is equipped with modern amenities, including free high-speed Wi-Fi, individually controlled air conditioning, 55" Smart 4KTV with satellite and Netflix, YouTube, safety boxes in all bedrooms, hairdryers, washing machine, and a dishwasher.

Currently, the private swimming pool is under construction and will be available for the summer season of 2023. The villa features a beautiful garden patio where guests can relax and enjoy the most amazing sea and sunset views in Mykonos.

The upper level of the villa houses the dining and lounge areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious balcony offering breathtaking sea and sunset views. The loft comprises a bedroom with two single beds, while the ground level features three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and direct access to the outdoor patio garden with sun loungers.

The villa is conveniently located within driving distance of several beautiful beaches and popular Mykonos attractions, including Ornos, Agios Ioannis, Megali Ammos, Psarou, Platys Gyalos, Paragka, Paradise beach, Ftelia, and Panormos beach. The villa is 8km (20 min) from the port and 5.7km (15 min) from the airport.

The Aegean Retreat

The island of Mykonos is known to be partial to a party or two and this sensational villa is certainly built for entertaining. 

As well as accommodating a huge number of guests, there are plenty of sociable spots in which to hang out, from the circular infinity pool and surrounding loungers to the outdoor kitchen area nicknamed 'the restaurant' by the host — deservedly so given the bar, barbecue and curved seating. A Sonos speaker system will have everyone up on their feet, too.

The home is equally impressive behind the boxy walls. There's a bright and airy feel thanks to the plentiful windows, pure white walls and minimalist approach to decor. Snoop around, however, and you'll find some cosy subterranean nooks and crannies that embrace exposed stone walls. 

The surrounding area of Agios Lazaros is one of the more luxurious corners of Mykonos, with plenty of exclusive restaurants, beach clubs and sandy spots ready and waiting to be discovered — Psarou Beach takes less than ten minutes to reach by car, for example.

Footsteps from the beach and a quick hop into the buzzing heart of Mykonos Town, this villa not only radiates luxury but it’s in a prime location too. Following the path straight from the villa, you’ll be at the sandy beach, just 500 metres away. Hop in the car and explore the sugar-cube buildings in pretty white and blue of Mykonos Town – it’s just a five-minute drive to the waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants. 

Or, opt to while away the day poolside, on a beanbag lounger with a cold drink in hand. The view out over the bay is simply sublime. When the heat gets too much you can find relief on the shaded veranda, lined with comfy chairs. Lunch outdoors is on offer thanks to a state-of-the-art barbecue and shaded dining area. Come sunset, there’s no better place than the Moroccan-style lounge on the rooftop. 

The interior is crisp and clean, in keeping with the Cycladic minimalist style. Think white-washed ceilings and stark, slate-grey sofas. There’s a sense of grandeur and occasion to the dining room, with its banquet-sized table big enough for the whole group. When it comes to bedtime, each of the bedrooms is ensuite, luxurious as a hotel room and all have their own access to a balcony or terrace. The secret bonus to this place? There’s a sea view from the sauna and a private massage room and a Turkish hammam for the ultimate spa day.
