If you’re looking for a villa that serves up stunning sunsets, your search is over. Nestled just outside of Mykonos town centre, this homely villa is made for outdoor living. We love the covered terrace with its generous corner sofa, perfect for dining alfresco with loved ones or simply snuggling down with your summer read and getting lost in a story as the warm Greek air brushes over your skin. Every now and again, when you need some respite from the heat, sink into the private pool and enjoy a gentle swim as the sea sparkles before you, inviting you to visit its sandy shores. Glyfadi beach is a mere 900-metre stroll from your home-away-from-home and well worth a visit, particularly for a spot of snorkelling.

While all three bedrooms offer sea and sunset views, we recommend heading out onto the terrace before nightfall. Fire up the barbecue and grill up a delicious dinner, uncork a bottle of wine and settle down on the sun loungers – the best is yet to come. As the sky dances through an array of colours and the sun slowly drops into the ocean, with the quiet rolling of the waves carrying on the breeze, you’ll soon realise that you’re making memories that you’ll cherish forever.

It’s a boho-chic spot with exposed stone walls, dramatically uplit as if you’re sleeping in a (super-luxe) cave.

With four double bedrooms (all featuring sea views) for six guests, you'll have flexible sleeping arrangements, ideal if you're travelling with kids or groups of friends. You may have neighbours here, but you should hardly notice – no areas are shared communally, so that gorgeous pool is all yours. It really is no wonder that this thoughtfully designed home has a clutch of architecture awards and has been featured in a host of international magazines, including Dezeen – we can see why. Situated on the ridge of Aleomandra and facing the stunning Aegean, the views over the neighbouring island of Delos are gorgeous, and the sunsets here are legendary. 

Almost entirely hidden from view, this home has an exclusive setting. Sitting behind hand-built stone walls dug from the site – there's a traditional island vernacular palette of materials such as lime-wash, stone, and wood. 

This home has been designed for laid-back summer living – lounge by the infinity pool or enjoy some cocktails in one of the many stylish seating areas. Neolithic-like standing stones support chestnut-wood pergolas casting beautiful shadows and giving shelter from the hot Mykonos sun. The rough-hewn boulders are a recurring feature, anchoring this home in the landscape – you'll find them scattered inside this villa and around the pool. We particularly love the ones that form stepping stones through the shallow water to the main outdoor living area.

Inside, you'll find large soft grey sofas, shelves of plants, curvaceous vases and ceramic sculptures and an elegant Boffi kitchen with Gaggenau home appliances (your host can arrange a private chef for you). There's also a techno-gym room and a private gallery space, no less. This place is primed for entertaining – they even have their own summer-inspired playlist for the sound system.

Be the One

The amazing Mykonos villa is perfect for large family reunions or a holiday away with all your friends, or even make it the setting for an incredible event from birthdays to intimate, destination weddings. With stunning ocean views from the poolside terrace, we would love nothing more than to begin each day with a breakfast of Greek yoghurt and honey eaten alfresco before spending a relaxing day lounging in the sunshine and cooling off in the waters of the infinity pool. Swim right up to the edge where the pool’s waters meet the sea to admire the vista in all its beautiful glory.
 
Spend days on the beach which is just a short eleven-minute walk from your door. Or venture further from home and visit Mykonos Town – a short nine-minute drive away, or Mykonos Port – a twelve-minute drive away. Watch a movie at the open-air cinema that can be reached within eight minutes by car or also within eight minutes by car are the Windmills of Mykonos. 
 
In the evening, open a bottle of wine from the home’s wine cellar, and sip on a refreshing glass of wine while dinner prepares. Make full use of the barbecue and cook some delicious, traditional Greek cuisine such as Souvlaki, and enjoy your meal with the outstanding view of the Aegean Sea outside your window.

Located in the quiet settlement of Lichnaftia, this holiday rental offers breathtaking views of the Aegean and the island of Mykonos. Venture further afield to the Old Port, which is still only a seven-minute drive away, and you'll have even more of Mykonos' history, culture and culinary delights at your finger tips.
