This villa is in a peaceful spot, just a five-minute walk from the beach. While it may not be the most luxurious in our collection and feels dated in parts, with views of the Aegean Sea, a private pool, and a choice of outdoor seating areas, it has plenty to offer. Wake up each morning to sunlight streaming into the calm villa, with its exposed stone walls, simple white colour palette, and natural wood touches. Prepare breakfast to enjoy out on the terrace, before slipping into the private pool for a dip. From here, it’s just a short drive to Orkos Beach, with Naxos old town also within easy driving distance.

Perched on a hilltop within walking distance of Agios Prokopios Beach and a short car ride from Naxos, this room offers a restful stay for a couple or solo traveller. There’s no kitchen here, so you’ll need to head out at mealtimes. Fortunately, there are plenty of tavernas within driving distance of your doorstep. Our favourite feature was the terrace – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool, especially after a nap on the loungers.

Boasting views of the sea and all the way to Chora, this villa is a lovely choice of base in Naxos. It’s modern and pretty, and is spread over three floors so you won’t feel crowded – though it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Outside, the poolside terrace has a delightful alfresco dining area. This home is away from the hustle and bustle of the town so is ideal for those looking to relax – this isn’t a party house. You can stroll easily to Paralia Glifada, but you’ll need a car to get around further.

This villa shares a half-acre property of gardens with its neighbouring villa – and though this might not suit those seeking privacy, it’s perfect if you’re visiting as a large group. And while the interior here is on the minimal side, we think days are best spent soaking up the sun from the loungers and enjoying the private pool. Within the grounds, you will find organic fruit and vegetables – pick a selection and dine alfresco on the terrace or why not have your host arrange a private chef for you?

Naxos Nights

This stunning villa is perfect for families or groups of up to 14 people. Spread across separate buildings, this property offers a total of six large bedrooms and five bathrooms. The layout is ideal for families with children or six couples, with many spacious communal private areas to escape for private moments. Guests can also enjoy a beautiful swimming pool carved out of the surrounding rocks, with fantastic views and a pergola for shade and lounging. The villa is located on a hillside in Mikri Vigla, just a 10-minute walk from one of Greece's best beaches with sun beds, umbrellas available for hire and a great restaurant. There are further restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and an ATM/cash machine located near the beach. A car is recommended, however there is a bus service to Naxos town. Naxos averages more than 10 hours of sunshine a day in the summer months and almost no rain in June, July, August and September.

If a day on the beach is on the cards, you have two to choose from a short drive away. Kastraki beach has white sand, calm water and the chance to take it easy. For a livelier afternoon, plump for Paralia Glifada where you can take on kite surfing and a series of water sports. Naxos Town is fifteen kilometres away, so it’s ideal for dinners out or afternoons strolling the narrow streets and admiring the architecture. However you spend your stay, you’re sure to remember this spectacular villa fondly.

This elegant two-storey villa is situated in the village of Agia Anna, just 300 metres from one of the island’s idyllic beaches. With a lovely outdoor area, perfect for enjoying alfresco meals and catching the rays, the place is a good fit for families or groups of friends. There are even some herb beds in the garden, in case you feel like rustling up a family feast. Note that there are some stairs inside the home so children will need to be supervised. 

Aquatic Embrace

Part of a luxurious villa complex in Naxos, this home plants you in beautiful natural surroundings. Between mountains and coastline, there are several outdoor spots from which to admire the view, from the balcony to the plush sun beds that line the private pool. While the garden is only partially fenced, there are still private spots around the home to enjoy some quiet time to yourself. Plaka beach is just 450 metres away, but if you fancy exploring a little further afield we’d recommend renting a car to get around.

As you arrive, your eye will immediately be drawn to the view. The pretty blue vista is instantly calming – as you breathe in the sea air and drink in the view, you’ll feel your worries melt away. The infinity pool faces the sea, adding another inviting blue shade to the colour palette. The shallow end of the pool has built-in sun loungers, so you can sunbathe while dipping a toe in the water – it’s the most tranquil feeling. 

Inside, the villa is a vision in white. Cool and calm, it’s a lovely space to return to after days spent in the sunshine. Plaka Beach is a nineteen-minute walk from the villa, so you can easily spend your days splashing around in the sea or building sandcastles, then return to the villa in time for sunset. Prepare cocktails to sip on the terrace as you watch the sky shift into pastel shades, then lie out watching the stars.

On the first level, guests will find a spacious living room with a TV and air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table, oven, refrigerator, kitchenware, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and two single sofa beds. There is also a bathroom and two verandas with outdoor furniture and stunning sea views, as well as two bedrooms with double beds.

The second level of the villa comprises two bedrooms with double beds and single beds, each equipped with a TV, air conditioning, and a balcony with gorgeous sea and mountain views.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private pool, veranda, and a parking space. All in all, this villa is the perfect choice for those seeking luxury and comfort in a beautiful setting.

Where it's wedged between rolling hills and the sea, this waterfront villa was made for beach lovers and sun worshippers alike. With Plaka Beach so close, the private pool almost seems redundant – almost, but what's better than a poolside cocktail in a sun lounger – and local tavernas only a short stroll away, this home gets a big tick for location. But we also like the flexibility of having an adjacent apartment that puts just enough distance between it and the villa for a teenager or grandparent to have a little extra privacy when joining in on a family holiday. There's also ample seating to admire the views from.

Fourteen acres of gardens, vineyards and vegetable patches surround this stone-built villa on the coast of Paros. Along with the gardener, you can harvest the gardens for olives, cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh herbs to liven up any barbecue (thanks to the full outdoor kitchen and bar). From the lagoon-style pool, you’ve got a beautiful view of the Gulf of Molos and Molos Beach is just a five-minute walk away. The vast rooftop terrace is perfect for yoga sessions and there’s a heated Jacuzzi up here. Bedrooms are spread out across the main villa and guesthouse in the garden, and there are two spacious living rooms for the group to unwind, not including the fabulous outdoor lounge. 

A Reflection In Water

Just five minutes by car from Naxos Town, you’ll find this villa – explore the maze of streets filled with shops, bars and restaurants. This desirable location is also close to some of the best beaches in Naxos including Agios Prokopios and Agia Anna. If you prefer to relax by your private pool or in the Jacuzzi at this villa, we wouldn’t blame you. There’s also a fantastic roof terrace with Aegean Sea views, as well as wonderful vistas of Naxos Town and Portara.

Direct access to a private slice of sandy beach is what drew us to this fabulous villa on Naxos. Apart from loungers on the beach, days can be spent by the private pool, dining or reclining in the sun. It’s a short drive to the village of Plaka for a handful of restaurants, and buzzing Naxos town is 10 kilometres away. Like most traditional Cycladic villas, the furnishings inside are minimalist, which keeps things breezy and cool in the heat. Bedrooms are split across three levels, including a self-contained suite with its own kitchenette on the lower level.

If you're looking for a villa that's close to the sea, you're not going to get many nearer than this — the golden sand of Plaka Beach is a mere twenty metres away. Not bad, right?

However, despite this excellent proximity, this home doesn't rest on its laurels. Comprised of two separate houses, both have the same contemporary design that's heavy on soothingly white walls and sleek furnishings. The communal outdoor space is equally impressive, thanks mainly to the large swimming pool surrounded by inviting-looking loungers that sits in the middle of the garden.

There's a barbecue here if you fancy cooking up a grilled Grecian feast, but there's also the option of having a private chef prepare all your meals. The host can also help arrange beauty treatments, butlers and daily excursions, too. When you want to see a little more of the island, there are plenty of hiking routes and historic attractions in the mountainous inland, while the main town of Naxos only takes fifteen minutes to reach in the car.

For starters, we love the design – simple Cycladic architecture effortlessly blends with modern style to create a relaxing sanctuary. Both bedrooms feature sumptuous mattresses and private bathrooms – there's a lush bathtub and a sunny balcony in the main suite – while the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking Grecian delicacies. This villa might be on the outskirts of Naxos Town, within easy walking distance of all waterfront bars, restaurants and traditional tavernas, but it’s blissfully quiet. That could be because it’s a bit like a palace, set in oodles of gardens. The design is traditionally Cycladic with smooth, white stone hewn into towers and walls. We love the moat-like swimming pool that surrounds a stone terrace accessed by a humped bridge. Wooden decks and raised stone patios house beanbag chairs, loungers and stone sofas shaded by macrame parasols. 

This place was made for entertaining, with a sleek taverna-like bar and semi-open kitchen the ideal spot for drinks and meals in the open air. Stone archways lead to raised lounges with Moroccan-style sofas and there’s a second kitchen with an old fireplace and pots and pans hanging from the centre island like the kitchens of old Greece. Bedrooms are pure romance, with candle-filled alcoves and Cycladic tradition radiating from thick stone walls. Those who value privacy above all else can opt for the separate guest cottage in the gardens.

It's five minutes on foot to the centre of Naxos Town, and also a five-minute walk to the crystal shallows of St George Beach, perfect for swimming.
