The villa is located on a hillside in Mikri Vigla, just a 10-minute walk from one of Greece's best beaches with sun beds, umbrellas available for hire and a great restaurant. There are further restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and an ATM/cash machine located near the beach. A car is recommended, however there is a bus service to Naxos town. Naxos averages more than 10 hours of sunshine a day in the summer months and almost no rain in June, July, August and September.

Perched on a hilltop within walking distance of Agios Prokopios Beach and a short car ride from Naxos, this room offers a restful stay for a couple or solo traveller. There’s no kitchen here, so you’ll need to head out at mealtimes. Fortunately, there are plenty of tavernas within driving distance of your doorstep. Our favourite feature was the terrace – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool, especially after a nap on the loungers.

Chic and stylish, this suite has an air of understated luxury. While it’s on the small side, the private garden has more than enough space for two and boasts a private pool. There’s no kitchen here, so we think this home is best suited to a couple or two friends who want to relax and take time off from everyday tasks. There’s a Greek taverna close by where you can sample some of the local cuisine, and you’ll have your own dining table to sit and enjoy a coffee each morning. The location is a real selling point – the beautiful Laguna Beach is just 550 metres away.

As you arrive, your eye will immediately be drawn to the view. The pretty blue vista is instantly calming – as you breathe in the sea air and drink in the view, you’ll feel your worries melt away. The infinity pool faces the sea, adding another inviting blue shade to the colour palette. The shallow end of the pool has built-in sun loungers, so you can sunbathe while dipping a toe in the water – it’s the most tranquil feeling. 

Inside, the villa is a vision in white. Cool and calm, it’s a lovely space to return to after days spent in the sunshine. Plaka Beach is a nineteen-minute walk from the villa, so you can easily spend your days splashing around in the sea or building sandcastles, then return to the villa in time for sunset. If you’re in the mood for history and culture, the port town of Naxos is a ten-minute drive away. Admire the Venetian architecture, visit the Archaeological Museum and fill up on local fare in a family-run taverna.

It’s modern and pretty, and is spread over three floors so you won’t feel crowded – though it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Outside, the poolside terrace has a delightful alfresco dining area. This home is away from the hustle and bustle of the town so is ideal for those looking to relax – this isn’t a party house. You can stroll easily to Paralia Glifada, but you’ll need a car to get around further.

From the lagoon-style pool, you’ve got a beautiful view of the Gulf of Molos and Molos Beach is just a five-minute walk away. The vast rooftop terrace is perfect for yoga sessions and there’s a heated Jacuzzi up here. For starters, we love the design – simple Cycladic architecture effortlessly blends with modern style to create a relaxing sanctuary. Both bedrooms feature sumptuous mattresses and private bathrooms – there's a lush bathtub and a sunny balcony in the main suite – while the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking Grecian delicacies. And when you’re ready to explore, Naxos Town, with its lively port and charming old town, is a 16-kilometre drive away.

This villa might be on the outskirts of Naxos Town, within easy walking distance of all waterfront bars, restaurants and traditional tavernas, but it’s blissfully quiet. That could be because it’s a bit like a palace, set in oodles of gardens. The design is traditionally Cycladic with smooth, white stone hewn into towers and walls. We love the moat-like swimming pool that surrounds a stone terrace accessed by a humped bridge. Wooden decks and raised stone patios house beanbag chairs, loungers and stone sofas shaded by macrame parasols. 

This place was made for entertaining, with a sleek taverna-like bar and semi-open kitchen the ideal spot for drinks and meals in the open air. Stone archways lead to raised lounges with Moroccan-style sofas and there’s a second kitchen with an old fireplace and pots and pans hanging from the centre island like the kitchens of old Greece. Bedrooms are pure romance, with candle-filled alcoves and Cycladic tradition radiating from thick stone walls. Those who value privacy above all else can opt for the separate guest cottage in the gardens.

It's five minutes on foot to the centre of Naxos Town, and also a five-minute walk to the crystal shallows of St George Beach, perfect for swimming.

Located on the east coast of Naxos, a kilometre from Agios Prokopios Beach, this quiet retreat is an excellent choice for a couple or solo traveller looking to while away the hours in the Mediterranean sunshine. Inside the home, it’s pared-back and functional with a neutral colour scheme and raw and refined natural textures. The living space is the perfect place to begin your mornings, perched at the breakfast bar with a cup of coffee or stretched out on the corner sofa.
