It's easy to imagine whiling away the days in this elegant Grecian villa. Demonstrating the very best of Cycladic charm, the bright four-bedroom house is a sumptuous setting-off point to explore the island of Paros.

A two-minute stroll will take you to your nearest access point, the sandy Santa Maria beach, where you can rent a lounger and read up on local attractions. We'd recommend a trip to the island's picturesque white-washed capital, Parikia, just a 15km drive away.

This unique offering enjoys unobstructed views over the lunar landscape of Kolimbithres beach (a five-minute drive away) and across azure waters of the Aegean towards the neighbouring island of Naxos. 

Perfectly positioned above the Mycenaean Acropolis and under a ten-minute drive from the lively whitewashed harbour village of Naoussa, your party will enjoy the best of both worlds – rest and recreation in equal measure.

The home is set across the main building, plus three independent guesthouses, with courtyards, paths and rooms that open directly to the outdoors, creating a flow between each. It's been designed to incorporate the best of contemporary and traditional design. Think open spaces, plenty of natural light and all the mod cons, sat beneath exposed timber ceilings and set within stuccoed, low-rise buildings.

In addition to some of the best views on the island, the outdoor area includes everything you'll need to relax and unwind. Comfy sun loungers fringe the azure waters of the swimming pool, a brick barbecue is prepped and ready to grill the catch of the day after sunbathing sessions by the sea, and the rustic table beneath the pergola will host all your alfresco meals.

Casa Caique

A dream of a home, with flexible space for a large group or two families sharing, this place near Naoussa is two villas in one. In beautifully manicured, private gardens, it's spread across a vast site with an open aspect – from here you can see the rolling hills, the crystal-clear Aegean Sea and the private yachts in the bay. With all sorts of terraces, two main villas and two attached guest houses, everyone will have their own place to retreat to, but when they're ready to come together, there's a private pool and several covered seating spots big enough for everyone.

Just 500 metres from the nearby beach, and a five-minute drive from the resort itself, the villas are surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, and sitting outside you'll be able to pick up the scent of lavender, rosemary, jasmine and much more. Follow the path down to the pool terrace and pull up a sun lounger because we think you're likely to be here all day. And when you're not swimming or reading in the shade of the pergola, you'll no doubt find yourselves looking out at the glittering sea.

In the evenings, cook in traditional, well-equipped kitchens, spend time in your comfy living spaces – packed with character and dotted with wall art – or freshen up before dinner on the terrace. And you won't want to miss the sunsets around here – we recommend you enjoy them with a glass of local wine down by the pool.

The closest beach is only a fifteen–minute walk away, perfect for those spontaneous trips out. Treat yourself to some delicious baked goods at Ragoussis Bakery or dine out in the evening at the beachfront Archipelagos restaurant.

For a day at the beach, it’s only a five–minute drive to Piperi Beach. Make a stop in the beautiful harbour village of Naoussa and admire the scenery from a street-side cafe.

Abode of Bliss

Spread across two pristine villas, the accommodation here is the utmost in Greek Cycladian tradition, with a splash of luxury thrown in. Both villas are a picture of white-wash Greek rusticana, with wooden doors painted lavender and bougainvillaea spilling into patios. Having two villas means everything is in double – two boho-luxe living rooms with built-in stone seating, two full kitchens in lightwood splendour and two wooden dining tables indoors.

The group can come together in the outdoors space, where a plunge pool looks out over the turquoise ocean, which is right on your doorstep, and across to the island of Naxos. There’s more than enough space for everyone to spread out on the wall of stone sofa, in the shade of a wooden pergola. And there’s outdoor dining if you fancy lunch in the sun. 

The location doesn’t get much better – on Paros’ quiet northern peninsula, just footsteps from the beach and with a handful of tavernas to choose from in the village of Santa Maria. 

Cyclidian Homage

Modern minimalism meets classic Greek architecture at this white-washed villa. Part of a complex with similar homes, there's a chance you may see and hear your neighbours here. It's worth it when you see the outside space, though. There's the all-important private swimming pool, an alfresco dining area for twilight dinners, and plenty of spots to soak up the sunshine. Daily housekeeping is also included here, so you don't have to worry about anything. Location-wise, you're just 4 kilometres from the buzzing fishing village of Naousa and 2 kilometres from the sandy Tsoukalia Beach.

Zest of Life

It's fair to say that nature has been kind to this hilltop villa on the island of Paros. As well as the stunning views of the mountainous landscape and the dazzling Aegean Sea, there's something of a microclimate at the address — the temperatures are generally two to three degrees lower than the rest of the island and there's substantially less humidity.

As you would hope, there are plenty of ways to enjoy this fortuitous weather. Outside, there's a long swimming pool and a private tennis court, as well as plenty of places to sit and take a breather, from the poolside verandah and hammocks to the alfresco dining area on the covered terrace. When you're feeling peckish, there's a stone barbecue and if you're not too skilled in the kitchen, don't fret — the home comes with a private chef who will prepare one meal a day for you. Where they can, they will use vegetables grown in the garden.

The home's interior manages to match its impressive exterior. The white marble floor, high ceilings and billowing muslin curtains make for a space that feels instantly cooling. The minimalist kitchen and dining area means that it can hold its own in the style stakes, too. The icing on the cake is a basement gym-come-games-room, which has exercise machines, yoga gear, a ping-pong table and even a wine cellar.

Although there are more than enough distractions across the two-acre site to never feel the need to leave, the village of Kostos sits within walking distance and the town of Naoussa takes seven minutes to reach in the car. Tsoukalia Beach is a similar distance away, too.

Lunar Power

Admire the Aegean from this modern and stylish villa. Nestled up overlooking the ocean of Santa Maria beach, it provides you with a peaceful oasis where you can rest and rejuvenate in between adventuring around this stunning part of Paros. It has a marvellous balcony where you can gaze out at views of the sea while you rest on a comfy bean bag lounger – the ideal place for your morning coffee. Inside, you’ll find a modern living area that features large windows to let the sea view in, with lots of places to sit and relax with a good book. The kitchen is fully-equipped for cooking up big Greek breakfasts of feta and potato fried eggs, for you all to tuck in at around your dining table.

You’re be based close to stunning beaches on this tip of the island, including Santa Maria which offers amazing surfing, as well as sun loungers and sun umbrellas so you can relax in bliss. You’re also just a short drive from the heart of Santa Maria town where you’ll find classy seafood restaurants and fun bars.

Livadia Beach, with its sandy shoreline, is just over three kilometres away, where you can paddle in the crystal clear water. When you get hungry there are several beach bars and restaurants lining the beach, and the sunsets are pretty spectacular. If you fancy doing some more exploring then head inland – you'll find charming villages and hilltop churches, giving you a real taste of Paros.

This villa sits in a complex of luxurious villas in Isterni, just 4 kilometres from Naousa. Here, you can enjoy a tranquil break while being within easy reach of the town’s nightlife and the port. Tsoukalakia beach is 2 kilometres away, and Ambelas beach is a short drive. The villa boasts its own private pool and a lovely terrace with views. There’s a shaded dining area and a barbecue, ideal for those lazy days in the sunshine.
