The well-equipped modern kitchen invites you to rustle up delicious meals – why not get inspired by Crete’s fresh ingredients and the proximity of the sea and create a true feast for your loved ones. You’ll be able to savour it indoors at the dining table or outside on your private patio, where comfy seats await. 

After a hot day in the sun, you’ll love cooling off in the private spa pool – while not big enough for swimming, we think it’s a wonderful spot to share a chilled bottle of Greek wine.

Greek Ode

Only a short walk away from the beautiful beaches of the Crete coast, this home isn’t just a great base for a beach holiday, it’s also ideal for large groups. With three apartments stacked on top of one another, it breaks big parties into smaller groups so there’s a measure of privacy for everyone. But head outside, and you’ll find more than enough room to come together and enjoy what this beautiful home has to offer. 

Rethymno, with its old architecture, can be found a short drive away. Walk the streets, stopping off at the old Venetian harbour to take a look at the fishing boats, head to the lighthouse – built in the 1830’s – and find lunch at a taverna. Of course you can also make an entire day of basking at the sun on any one of the beaches available to you – Rethymnon beach is only minutes away by car. 

Back home, amid the modern interior, you’re encouraged to take it easy. Put your feet up and relax with a cup of coffee. Sit out on the balcony, if you’ve taken a room on the upper levels, with a glass of wine and enjoy the fresh air. Come together by the pool – either in the cool waters or the sunloungers just off to the side – and celebrate where you are with wine and joyous conversation.

Watercolour

Spend an afternoon relaxing on the beautiful golden sands of Rethymno Beach or explore the city of Rethymno, both under a twenty-minute drive from this newly-built villa. If all you want to do is soak up the sizzling Crete sun at your home, then simply unwind on a sun lounger by the sparkling pool or find some shade on the veranda. Packed with family-friendly facilities – there's a ping pong table here, as well as a kids' playground, complete with slide. 

Pick some vegetables from the veggie plot and grill on the barbecue for a long lazy lunch while admiring the surrounding Cretan countryside – we love this bucolic setting. This home's ambience exudes calm with its subtle tones, ideal for a relaxing break.



Grecian Urns

This beautiful, traditional stone house on the edge of Prines, set on a gentle, west-facing slope, has wonderful mountain and sea views. Relax in the Crete sun by the private pool – we love the beautifully maintained garden with its vibrant flowers and verdant hedges. Later in the day, watch the rich sun set over the sea from the large balcony with a glass of wine. 

Inside, exposed stone, beams and arches create an atmospheric space, especially at night, and several sofas accommodate your family or friends for a good chat before dinner.

Situated in a cul-de-sac, it’s a leisurely stroll to the village centre, where there is a mini market and a choice of tavernas and cafe bars if you prefer to eat out. Or head to Rethymno, with its old Venetian harbour, 6 kilometres away. For a day at the sea, the nearest beach is 3 kilometres from this lovely villa. 




Stone Arches

Boasting panoramic sea views, this Cretan villa is readymade for a group getaway. With a private pool, outdoor kitchen, alfresco dining terrace, and choice of seating areas, there’s plenty of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. While inside boasts an airy open-plan living area, comfortable bedrooms, and a private gym. And if you’re bringing little ones, they’ll love the play area in the garden. With all of this on offer, you’d be forgiven for not wanting to leave the home. But if you do decide to venture out, picturesque Rethymnon, with its Venetian harbour and sandy beach, is less than a ten-minute drive away. 

Ocean Vista Abode

Whether you’re drawn to land or sea, this villa gives covers both, just 8 km from Rethymnon and 3 km from the Mediterranean coast. There’s plenty of space to relax outside, with a pool surrounded by olive trees for afternoons in the sun. Step inside the stone walls and you’ll find room for up to eight guests, though two will be sleeping on a sofa bed. We love the arches, adding character without feeling too traditional. Beyond the villa, Prines Village is a short walk away and offers a glimpse into everyday Cretan life, with local cafes, small shops, and the best kind of people watching, led by the village yiayias.

Arch and Shore

‘Wow’ is the word that comes to mind when you arrive at this glorious villa on the island of Crete. With show-stopping views across the sea and the surrounding landscape, it’s impressive from every angle. Spend your days swimming in the idyllic infinity pool and sharing delicious Mediterranean meals on the patio, before heading to the roof terrace to watch a spectacular sunset. You might be reluctant to leave this scenic spot, but don’t miss a visit to nearby Rethymno, with its Venetian Old Town and harbourside tavernas.

Lyrical Sanctuary

Perched on a hillside overlooking Crete's picturesque north coast and a short drive from the gorgeous Venetian harbour of Rethymno's old town, this contemporary three-bedroom villa can comfortably accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms, making it ideally suited to a multi-generational family getaway or a Cretan countryside escape with your closest friends.

An open layout on the ground floor allows you to drift effortlessly from one area to the next, creating a wonderfully sociable space where everyone can gather together without feeling claustrophobic. Go with the flow, and you'll find yourself on the picturesque poolside patio, with loungers arranged around the water's edge, an inviting hammock slung in the shade of a couple of trees, and a covered dining area complete with a purpose-built barbecue for outdoor dining at its best.

In addition to a twin room on the ground floor, two further guestrooms upstairs enjoy access to a spacious balcony with jaw-dropping vistas in almost every direction. After brewing your morning drink of choice, we can think of little better than taking a seat out here in the cool morning air – it's an idyllic way to start the day.

The villa is just a short drive from the coast, where you can tuck into seafood lunches in traditional tavernas, top up your tan on the beaches and enjoy refreshing dips in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean. Head west and uncover one of Crete's best-preserved medieval old towns around Rethymno's lovely harbour. Alternatively, you can continue along the coast to Chania for a chance to explore its labyrinthine backstreets and family-friendly beaches.

Divine Youth

Set overlooking rugged green hills covered in gnarled olive trees, fragrant cypresses and sturdy oaks – it's a tranquil haven that's ideal for a restorative break from your everyday routine. 

This imposing stone structure is one of four to inhabit this little corner of Crete, each with its own pool and tree-lined borders to maximise privacy. There are plenty of poolside sun loungers where you can spend lazy days, only interrupting your sunbathing sessions for cooling dips in the water and light bites at the outdoor dining area.

Inside, you'll uncover a similar traditional style to the exterior, with plenty of exposed stone, dark wood floors and furnishings, plus elegant wrought-iron beds. It's a tried and tested design that, when combined with the thick walls, ensures things stay nice and cool inside no matter how hot it is out by the pool.

Despite the off-the-beaten-track surroundings, the nearby village of Prines has three family-run tavernas that serve up traditional treats – perfect when you don't feel like cooking. In fact, all three will deliver right to your door if you'd rather eat in the comfort of your villa. The supermarkets in Atsipopoloulo have you covered for self-catering essentials, while the immaculately preserved Venetian old town of Rethymno is only a fifteen-minute drive away.
