Afandou lies minutes away, waiting to accept beach lovers with deep-blue water and golden sand. The iconic Rhodes Acropolis is a must-see and only on the other end of a short drive – and so is the famed Butterflies Valley. Much closer to visit is the Seven Springs, where you can find a restaurant hidden within a forest named for its seven springs. If you’re not eating there, you might stop at the taverna along the way for an authentic greek lunch.

If you’re spending the day at home, we recommend lazy mornings in the sunshine with a good book or a sketch pad. Set in Kalithies, history lovers will have their pick of sites to explore and local cafes and bakeries to chill at.
