On the island of Rhodes in a small laid-back resort town called Kolympia is this beautiful iconic white-washed villa situated against ocean blues, between the mountains, and above shingle beaches. Irida has a classic islander vibe with a modern twist and overhangs the beach, with an infinity pool that spills into the ocean scenery. Sip on a frothy Greek coffee while lounging in the sun and watching the children play in the separate kid’s pool. With direct access to the beach, escape to the sand and watch the waves deep into the afternoon. When the day blissfully and lazily escapes to night, rinse off in the outdoor shower before the entire family or group of friends gathers around the al frecso dining area whilst waiting for local fare to cook on the barbeque. Before bed, star gaze from the jacuzzi and listen to the waves. For the adventure-inclined, the other areas of Rhodes are within a short distance. Kolympia itself is long sought-after by families due to its relaxed and organized beaches and easy access to quaint tavernas to amen for truly authentic Greek island experience.

Days can be spent drifting between a sun lounger and the swimming pool, or exploring the beaches lining this sun-drenched stretch of coastline (the nearest is a short walk away). You’ll also find the picturesque old town of Rhodes is less than a twenty-five-minute drive away – perfect for sightseeing, admiring ancient ruins and sipping drinks in traditional seafront tavernas.

By sunset, you’ll love returning to your own private seafront sanctuary. From long soaks in the jacuzzi to delicious golden hour drinks and sizzling barbecue meals – you’ll find yourself transported to the height of relaxation. 

Diamond Blue

The stunning sea views, plentiful sun loungers and tropical palm trees all combine to make this the perfect spot to relax in the island warmth. We especially love the private hot tub on the balcony accessible straight from the main bedroom, perfect for a romantic evening in. The bunk bed makes it perfect for kids too – they’ll especially love the private swimming pool on a particularly hot day. Location-wise, the best bits of the island are all within reach too. The beaches of Faliraki Bay are just minutes away, plus it’s a quick drive away from Rhodes, where you can split your time between the Acropolis and the restaurants in the city’s medieval core.

Gateway to Rhodes

This stunning contemporary villa takes inspiration from the traditional stone construction so widespread in this part of the world and updates it with clean, crisp lines, retractable glass doors and soaring ceilings throughout. 

The open-plan space on the ground floor serves as a wonderful social space, with comfortable seating, an elegant eight-person dining table and a well-equipped kitchen, all in a monochrome colour palette of whites, greys and blacks. Three sets of retractable doors can be peeled back to reveal the poolside patio, covered outdoor seating and an alfresco dining area beneath a pergola.

Bedrooms are split between the ground and first floors, with one downstairs and three upstairs. All have en-suite bathrooms and outdoor access, either to the patio or the large balcony that runs across the pool-facing side of the villa.

You're well-positioned to explore nearby Traganou and Antoni Kouin beaches – both within a five-minute walk or drive, while proximity to Kalithies and Faliraki towns ensure you can easily stock up on essentials just a five-minute drive away. Fifteen minutes further on is the city of Rhodes, with its medieval Old Town and the imposing Palace of the Grand Master.

Colossus of Rhodes

Surrounded by olive groves and undulating countryside, this opulent home is an excellent choice for large families or groups of friends wanting to spread out in the glorious Greek sunshine. The outdoor space is a sanctuary of calm, with its shaded seating area, glittering

And for something a little different, visit the Bee Museum, less than a ten-minute car ride from your villa.

Settle into this traditional villa sunken into the beautiful natural landscape and peaceful environment of rural Rhodes. Located in Ladiko near the breathtaking Anthony Quinn bay, you're a five-minute drive to sandy beaches, while a short taxi into town will have you surrounded by authentic tavernas and lively cafe-bars. 

Days begin outside with a fresh Greek coffee in hand under the shaded pergola, listening to the gentle sounds of the rustling cypress trees and green foliage all around. Swim a few leisurely up and downs in the private pool, before picking out a lounger to laze the hours away in the hot Mediterranean sun. When lunchtime beckons, there's a modern chef's kitchen that will make preparing meals a breeze, or, better still, grill local produce on the brick barbecue outside and feast together on the terrace – pre-dinner drinks go down a treat here. 

Breaststroke Bliss

Don’t let the simple décor fool you – this place is a great setting for a relaxing island retreat. Soak up gorgeous views of the Aegean Sea as you unwind in the living room or make a beeline for the marble-tiled bathroom where you’ll find a selection of spa facilities that’ll have you feeling relaxed faster than you can say ‘Rhodes’.   

Outside a sweet garden awaits, offering plenty of seating for kicking back with a fruity cocktail while one of your fellow guests fires up the barbecue. Gather around the patio table for an alfresco meal or forgo dinner for the time-being and cool off with a well-deserved dip in the pool. On days when you fancy getting out and about, you’ll be pleased to find yourself within easy reach of Kolymbia town centre – but for now, why not just sit back and enjoy the view?

Inside, there are three boutique-style en-suite bedrooms and a sofa bed setup for more flexibility. When you’re ready to explore, you’ll do well to have a car for sightseeing. Although there are plenty of local cafes and restaurants on foot, if you’d rather stay closer to home.

Set in Ladiko, close to the buzzing heart of Kalithies with its traditional tavernas and ouzo bars, but within a five-minute drive of the coast, this home delivers the ideal location if you'd like to sample the island's authentic village life one minute and the fun and frolics of Faliraki the next. Tucked away in the green hills, it's a peaceful spot with a large, walled garden – perfect for letting the kids run free.

Typical in style, with lots of covered terraces, sun loungers and a cool, tile-floored interior, it's a comfortable family home with plenty of space for everyone. With its large, covered veranda just off the house, we can almost guarantee you’ll be spending the majority of your time outside here. A generously proportioned dining table provides the setting for all your alfresco meals – which can be cooked on the adjacent built-in barbecue, while the outdoor living area offers a place for naps, chats, morning coffees, and evening drinks. There’s even a TV mounted to the wall should you feel the need for a little light entertainment. And of course, then there’s the pool. Forming the centrepiece of the enclosed garden, the pool is bound to also form the centrepiece of your stay here – whether floating on the cadre of inflatables you bring along with you, relaxing on one of the many sun loungers, or splashing around in the deep end, this is where the holiday happens.
