But as it's probably the leading reason visitors flock to this corner of the Dalmatian coast, we'll start with the view. Set high above the Old Town, in the most sought-after part of Dubrovnik, it looks out over that postcard-perfect vista – just as it has for centuries. If its old stone walls could talk, it could tell us tales of this dramatic city, reaching back to the Renaissance. 

Today, the interior has been respectfully brought up to 21st Century expectations, with smart, neutral decor and a mix of contemporary and classical furnishings giving it a stylish, sophisticated look.
