At home, your downtime will be well-spent playing table tennis with your loved ones, sharing barbecue suppers by the pool, and sunset-watching from the balcony. Despite the glass-walled en-suites, there's so much emphasis on outdoor living that we're sure you'll find the right moment to slip away for privacy.

Contemporary Class

This home sits out on the very tip of the Istrian Peninsula, where the Adriatic meets the rugged coastline, and has been guiding ships for decades. That’s right, it’s a working lighthouse at the edge of the land. Just like a traditional lighthouse keeper, you’re isolated out here with nothing but the sounds of waves and call of gulls. A meandering walk along a dirt path leads to a protected rocky beach and within the area you’ve got kayaking tours and various jetties offering taxi boats. Plus, it’s a short drive to Ližnjan and Medulin towns.

Once you’ve stocked up on supplies, is there really any reason to abandon your post? Days here can be spent reclining in the sun on the double daybed or admiring the sun shimmering on the sea from a lounger. A full outdoor kitchen has you covered for dinners outside and you can dine beneath the bamboo pergola.

Inside, we love the old stone hearth that stretches between the living room, dining room and kitchen. So you can dine by a crackling fire or unwind with a glass of local Malvazija on the sofas. The main bedroom enjoys a sea view and is bright and sunny thanks to pristine white walls. Two further bedrooms upstairs are tucked away beneath knotted wood ceilings, feeling like you’ve stepped back in time.  

There's a Light

This villa is located just a short drive from the beach, in the town of Liznjan. Surrounded by lush nature, you’ll enjoy great views of the Adriatic Sea from the home’s many terraces and pool area. While the vibrant colour pallet might not be to everyone’s taste, the place offers a comfortable base for a family holiday. There are stairs to climb here, however, one of the bedrooms with an en-suite is located on the ground floor, making it easier for guests with reduced mobility. 

Sun In Vibrant Colours 

This stunningly renovated lighthouse offers a luxurious and authentic living experience that perfectly blends modern and baroque styles. The open-plan living area includes a large wooden dining table, white country kitchen, and large open fireplace, while the bedrooms feature cosy wooden ceilings and partly visible brickwork. The bathrooms boast a bricked walk-in shower with a rain shower head and a cool concrete look. The exterior of the property is equally impressive, with a large terrace, outdoor kitchen, and brick barbecue surrounded by lavender and rosemary. The location offers absolute peace within a radius of 4km from the village of Liznjan, which has shops for daily needs, a pharmacy, and an ATM, while Medulin offers beach bars, restaurants, nightlife, and activities such as surfing, diving, tennis, horseback riding, and beach volleyball. Guests can also visit the island of Levan for free using the owners' transfer service to enjoy its great sandy beach and small beach bar and grill.
