We can't foresee any squabbles over who gets which section, because both are similarly bright and modern in design. Each has large floor-to-ceiling windows that not only look out to charming sea views but also bring in ample amounts of natural light. The design is heavy on soothing whites and sleek surfaces, although the occasional burst of colour really pops off against this blank canvas.

At the address, there's a grand total of four balconies, offering 270-degree vistas over the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding town's rooftops. If this inspires you to explore the locale, Zamaline Beach lies all of seven minutes' walk away and there's a superb range of restaurants to discover nearby, too.

This is a great place to spend time with family and friends. We love the main bedroom with its balcony too. Location-wise, the address is excellent. Explore the nearby historic town of Šibenik or go on an adventure to the Krka and Kornati National Park. With the ferry port of Vodice a short drive away, you can also visit Trogir and Split. And the local beach is only 500 metres away – visit it on foot or with the bicycles provided.

Outside you’ll find a gorgeous pool, which you can gaze upon from the balcony – if you can tear your eyes away from the view of the sea, that is. 

You’ll wake up feeling refreshed from a good night’s sleep – the beds are oh so comfortable. Maybe you’ll whip up a breakfast of fresh fruit and local bread with honey, and take it out to the terrace. As you tuck in, you can plan your day – will you laze by the pool and soak up the sunshine all day? Or perhaps you’ll head to the beach? Brodarica beach is a fourteen-minute walk away and is one of many on this stretch of the coast. In the evening, fire up the barbecue and enjoy feasts on the terrace while the sun is setting. 

After a few days spent sunbathing, swimming and sipping wine, you might be rested enough to explore further afield. Šibenik is a beautiful city, one of the oldest on the Adriatic – it’s just eleven minutes away by car. Meander the narrow streets and admire the cathedral – it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

If you’re after total privacy, this spot near Šibenik is hard to beat. It’s set on a big plot, so the only other souls you’re likely to see are the horses wandering around. The beach is still just a five-minute drive away though, and there’s a restaurant close by if you don’t feel like cooking. The interiors are a bit of a mixed bag – open-plan and contemporary in layout, but some of the furnishings aren’t that inspiring. It doesn’t really matter though, because the outside space is where it's at. Plus, the towns of Vodice, Tisno, and Murter are nearby, and Šibenik and Krka National Park make for great day trips.

Our favourite thing about this sleek, modern villa is the view from the swimming pool. Gazing out over the infinity edge, you can see a handful of green islands floating in the sparkling Adriatic Sea. The big terrace out the front is also home to sun loungers, a dining spot and a glorious sunken Jacuzzi. 

The villa itself feels as though glass boxes have been stacked on top of each other, taking full advantage of that fabulous sea view. Slide open the wall-sized glass doors in the living room to melt the barrier between indoors and outdoors and watch the boats drift by from the comfort of the leather sofas. The huge, dine-in kitchen area is more than big enough to handle the bustle of group breakfasts and the whole open-plan area is bathed in sunlight during the day.

Those that want to keep on top of their fitness schedule can make use of the home’s private gym, and soothe sore muscles in the sauna after. Bedrooms are crisp white and blue, made bright by walls of windows. And the main bedroom has its own private balcony.

Location-wise, you’re on the edge of Hvar Town, a 500-metre walk from the centre where harbourside bars and restaurants await.
