This home is perfect for the adventurous, outdoorsy type, with the hiking trails and wild horses of the nearby Biokovo Mountain just waiting to be explored – but beach-lovers also won’t be disappointed here, with sandy stretches within walking distance of your front door. Yes, this home may look dramatic, but a stay here can only be described as idyllic. 


Isosceles in Blue

With a beautiful setting in a quiet residential area, this home is ideal for families seeking rest and relaxation. It’s on the Dalmatian coast just a short drive from the vibrant town of Makarska. There are also sandy beaches nearby, which is unusual for Croatia where the beaches are normally pebbly. From the villa you can admire stunning sea and mountain views from the private pool and from the terrace. The decor is simple and modern, and the villa is comfortable – though at full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed.

This Brac island escape had us on that magnificent infinity pool and sweeping sea views alone. And that was before we'd even clapped eyes on the countless sun-kissed terraces and private mooring to take a dip in the azure blue sea.

Designed to make the most of those next-level sea vistas from all angles outside, you can expect to do some serious outdoor entertaining here with a rooftop terrace to serenade the sunset and covered alfresco dining areas and an outdoor kitchen to lay on a Mediterranean feast. Meanwhile, the private playground and games room will keep little ones more than busy.

Step inside, and this Tardis-like home keeps on delivering the wow factor with elegant bedrooms offering access to outdoor terraces, and sea views from nearly every room. And there are some surprises too. Through an atrium blooming with bougainvillaea, there's a Jacuzzi room for a luxurious soak, and outside, a suspended day bed to dry beneath the Dalmatian sun. And did we mention there's a wine cellar to store your favourite island-grown tipple?

Or mosey along the path leading to the neighbouring fishing village, Bobovisca, for seafood suppers at its waterfront tavernas. It's as dreamy as it sounds.

Fruits of the Sea

Grab yourself a hefty slice of luxurious island life at this sublime stone-clad villa perched just a few steps from the seafront on the peninsular of Korčula.

With a history as rich as its natural beauty (think sandy coves and pine-dense forests), Korčula is a Dalmatian pearl. The postcard-pretty village of Zrnovska Banja is right on your doorstep. Or dive into the medieval streets of Korčula's glorious old town (just five kilometres away) – its bustling konobas for evening feasts are everything you imagined.

Though you may find all the ambience you're chasing is back at this magnificent villa perched beside the sea's edge. The panoramas are jaw-dropping from the vast terraces and heated infinity pool – especially at sunset with the outdoor fireplace aglow. And should you ever tire of that (doubtful), follow the steps leading down to a private beach plateau with a sun deck and mooring (just ten metres away) – it's the perfect excuse to charter your own boat.

Inside, the house is a perfect choice for guests who value a little extra privacy, with an independent apartment sleeping three guests on the ground level and each stylish bedroom boasting an en-suite. Those looking to stay on top of fitness and work will appreciate the private gym room and dedicated desk area. And you'll all be swooned by the oh-so-chic interiors, with a restful palette of cool blues and crisp whites reminding you the dazzling sea is never far away.
