This villa in the jungle of Ubud feels like a true private hideaway. Set across two levels, the dual infinity pools are pretty spectacular and offer views across the tropical canopy in front of you. There are several terraces to eat, relax, or just find your own corner, which is great if you’re staying with a group. Inside, the open-air living and dining spaces face the pools and jungle. You can add things like a private chef, massages, or yoga sessions, for the ultimate in relaxation. Plus, restaurants are just a few minutes on foot, while the centre of Ubud is a short drive away.

Jungle Interlude

Set within the quiet village of Pejeng, surrounded by rice fields and ancient temples, this villa offers a serene retreat just twenty minutes from Ubud. Blissful days unfold by the pool, over games of snooker on the open-air terrace, or with sunrise yoga beneath the palm trees. Treat yourself to an in-villa massage on the meditation deck, or bring in a private chef to prepare a traditional Indonesian feast. Each bedroom opens directly onto the garden and features its own outdoor rain shower, while the breezy living spaces, adorned with local artworks and rattan furniture, capture the essence of laid-back island living.

Among the rice fields

If you’re in search of blissful stay in Bali, this home hits all the right notes. Consisting of two independent villas nestled within a private estate, you’ll find everything you could need for an immersive island getaway. Take your pick from two swimming pools and enjoy lazy afternoons swaying in the hammock. There are endless jungle views, outdoor showers and hand crafted locally sourced furnishings. A private chef is available to prepare your meals and there are a range of extra services – including massage treatments and yoga sessions. You can also enjoy access to a private car for road trips into Ubud – less than three kilometres away.

Understated Elegance

In the heart of Bali’s Ubud region, surrounded by the rustling calm of rice fields, this beautiful house is an ode to island living. Built in the old colonial style, the whitewashed exterior is dotted with pillars, which support the grand overhanging balcony. Dive into the crystal blue pool that hugs the perimeter of the house before enjoying breakfast on the terrace. Huge glass doors allow the open living area to flow into the garden, so you can eat dinner and relax on the sofa surrounded by tropical greenery and the sound of birdsong.

All of the bedrooms are full of character and boast spectacular bathrooms and a patio or balcony. One of the bedrooms is set in a traditional Javanese house at the end of the garden, complete with Balinese day beds to relax in, and leads out to an enviable freestanding bath on the patio. The bedrooms upstairs in the main house have glass doors that open onto the balcony, where you can admire sprawling views of the surrounding rice paddies.

There are six members of staff on hand to look after you. Meals are catered, and they also take care of the housekeeping, the garden and the pool. While breakfast is complimentary, there is a well-priced menu offering delicious Balinese and Western dishes for lunch and dinner. There's no obligation to eat at the villa though, and there are a wide range of excellent restaurants in Ubud. The staff also offers concierge services, such as booking day trips and making restaurant reservations, so that you can make the most of your stay. There’s plenty to see in the area, including ancient Hindu temples, visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, or heading a little further afield for a day at the beach.

Hidden Paradise

With its private pool and leafy tropical garden, this Canggu hideaway had us charmed from the start. It’s not the largest villa – the open-plan living space is simple and breezy, and the kitchen is compact – but the calming design more than makes up for it. Both bedrooms are cool, contemporary and air-conditioned, ideal for unwinding after a day at Berawa Beach. And with cafes, restaurants and shops just around the corner, you’re perfectly placed to enjoy Canggu’s laid-back buzz while still having your own quiet retreat to return to. Fancy staying in? Your hosts are always on hand to help organise in-house chefs, guided yoga, and more.

Maman's Rest

Located in the trendy resort village of Canggu, it was love us at first sight with this gorgeously decorated home. The home is surrounded by rice paddies, so you'll feel like you're entering a secret garden here – the walled-off pool area offers plenty of privacy as you chill out in the sun. The airy, minimalist interior, replete with subtle nods to the location, is great for relaxing too. The home is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and bars, and the beach, of course – arrange surf lessons with the host, or simply go to work on your tan.

Nature lovers, rejoice. This home in the heart of Ubud is surrounded by lush landscapes and opportunities for adventure. From ancient temples and cultural sights to animal sanctuaries and impressive waterfalls, this town has so much to offer. And the good news doesn’t stop there. A true oasis for serenity seekers, this is the kind of home where you can experience the beauty of Bali up close, with lots to see and do right outside the door.

Tropical Orchid

This beautiful Balinese villa is a tranquil sanctuary in the heart of Ubud. At the heart of the home is the tropical-style garden – practically every room adjoins this stunning courtyard, where you can admire palm tree views while enjoying a floating breakfast in the pool. Warm wood and rock furnishings bring the natural world inside, and the living space offers more than enough room for all six guests to unwind. It's perfect for remote workers, too, with a desk in every bedroom – but the outdoor cabana might be an equally tempting workstation. Looking to soak up some culture? Sights like the Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace are just a short drive away.

Ubud Oasis

Embrace the magic of slow living in this Balinese sanctuary perched above the River Wos. You’ll be welcomed by endless jungle views, handcrafted furnishings, a saltwater infinity pool and a serene terrace. Inside, the bedrooms all boast open-vistas, en-suite bathrooms and outdoor rain showers where you can listen to the soothing sounds of nature. Breakfast is included in your stay and a private chef can be arranged for lunch and dinner. You’ll also be within easy walking distance of some wonderful restaurants, while Ubud centre is less than a ten-minute drive away.

A Balinese Beauty

Situated in a traditional village, surrounded by tropical wildlife, rice terraces, and sacred temples, this home offers an authentic slice of Balinese life. Boasting a private pool and views of the jungle valley, outdoor living is easy here, thanks to the open sides of the open-plan living area. To make your stay as relaxing as possible, your host provides a complimentary daily breakfast, and can help arrange in-house massages and yoga sessions. And when you’re ready to explore, the vibrant town of Ubud – known for its traditional crafts and dance – is a ten-minute drive away.

Sacred Beauty

Set in the heart of Canggu, just steps from Berawa Beach – one of the area's hotspots for sunsets and surfing – this place ticks lots of boxes. It truly embraces the art of indoor-outdoor living with an open-plan design that blends both spaces with style. The private swimming pool – which is perfect for doing laps – is a true highlight, though this two-storey home has tons of great features. Each bedroom is equipped with an en-suite, balcony access, and a desk for working on the go. And, while the kitchen is a touch compact, it does the trick for light bites when on the move.

The home features a large open-plan living and dining space, which is ideal for enjoying home-cooked meals and spending quality time with your loved ones.
