This stunning home is situated between the sea and the woods, in a tranquil spot on the island of Ischia. The bathtub in the living area takes some getting used to, but you can't deny that its panoramas are fantastic, especially the glimpse of Capri. Nestled within a lemon orchard, this stunning villa is practically hanging off the side of the Amalfi Coast. On the villa’s stepped terraces, the citrus scent of fresh lemons combines with sea salt as you enjoy uninterrupted views over the azure Tyrrhenian Sea. Walkways shaded by twisting grapevines, magenta bougainvillaea and wisteria bursting in purple clouds give way to panoramic views. You’ll find endless secluded spots for dining outdoors, or lounging in the sun. Inside, we were really taken by the hand-painted tiles in every room, bursting with blues, yellows and greens, and the hand-painted details like the decal in the shower, that feel distinctly Amalfi. Rather than facing the TV, the living room’s sofa points directly at the French windows and that incredible sea view and both main bedrooms have their own French windows for a view all to yourself. From the villa, it’s a short walk to the beach at the bottom of Maiori. Here, you can join the coastal walking path that links all the quintessentially Amalfi Coast villages. Or, head out in the car to the town of Amalfi, a fifteen-minute drive away.

Sit back, relax, and admire the views from this Sorrento apartment. Sweeping panoramas of the sea and Mount Vesuvius await on the balcony – we can't think of a better backdrop for alfresco drinks. Inside, the living space is just as sun-kissed as the exterior, with each bedroom offering access to the terrace. The third also has convient zip-and-link beds to suit both friends and families. Location-wise, you're a bit further from the centre here but still within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and landmarks. It's about a fifteen-minute walk to Corso Italia and twenty to the harbour – with that in mind, we suggest packing comfortable shoes.

This Italian villa grabbed our attention for its front-row location on the Amalfi coast. You can enjoy spectacular sea views from the garden, balconies, and terraces, and you also have direct access to a private beach. Your host can provide breakfast to begin the day at a leisurely pace, and if you’re travelling with children, babysitter recommendations are available. There are lots of stairs to climb here, including a spiral staircase in the home, steep steps in the terraced garden, and steps to the private beach, so it won’t suit everyone. Location-wise, you’re in the pretty village of Conca dei Marini with many picturesque coastal towns, including popular Amalfi, within easy driving distance.

This place would suit a family as the single bedroom is off the main bedroom and also at full capacity, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed. Otherwise, this is an ideal apartment for your Italian escape.
