Housed in a residential building, this sleek room offers a convenient hotel alternative for solo travellers or couples, equipped with everything needed for a fuss-free stay. Location-wise, you're in the heart of Sorrento, just a short walk from the beach. You'll also be within easy reach of the port, with restaurants and bars on your doorstep – handy, as this pad doesn't come with a kitchen. The interiors are a little basic for our liking, but it's modern and there's a dedicated workspace. Plus, the freestanding tub is the perfect place to relax after busy days spent travelling. 

Sunset Sorrento

Partenope Villas is a stunning property consisting of two villas, Piccola and Grande, located in the Sorrento area. It's an ideal solution for a large family or group of friends who want to explore the area and enjoy having the sea at their feet. The property offers direct access to the rocky beach, where you will find parasols, sunbeds and a private bathroom with shower and hot water. Piccola has three bedrooms while Grande has six, including an annex. Both properties have beautiful gardens and large terraces with chairs, lounges, tables, parasols and barbecue facilities from where you can enjoy spectacular sea views. The villas are well equipped with modern appliances such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi Internet, fridge, freezer, toaster, microwave, washing machine, kettle, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, hairdryer, TV, fireplace, iron and parking space for up to 6 cars. The nearest town with shops and restaurants is just 1km away while the airport is 60km away in Naples.

Rococo Rococo

Positano is one of the most beautiful towns to be found along the Amalfi Coast and if you don't believe us, stepping out onto the balcony of this hillside home and gazing out at the gorgeous view of the locale below and the Tyrrhenian Sea stretching on into the distance will change your mind.

As well as this impressive outdoor space, you might just find that you're charmed by the living quarters as well. There's something about the whitewashed walls and patterned tiling that's instantly bright and welcoming, as is the addition of a few pieces of nautically-inspired artwork and quirky decorative items. The kitchen might not be the largest, but there's enough space for whipping up modest meals and the coastal view out through the window will please those on cooking duties.

When it comes to making some holiday memories, both Grande and Fornillo beaches are 650 metres from the home, and there's a good selection of restaurants even closer. In the wider area, you'll find mountains to hike along with some truly breathtaking views to act as a reward.

Tyrrhenian Throne

Located on the Sorrento peninsula in southern Italy, this villa offers breathtaking views of the Marina del Cantone and the Li Galli islands. The scenery can be enjoyed from a number of spots around the garden, our favourites being the private infinity pool, the alfresco dining area and the sunbathing terrace just a stone’s throw from the sea. An array of shops, restaurants and the beach of Cantone are just a stroll away, though you can simply hop in the private cable car when you don’t feel like walking. 


The Serenity Sea

Perched among the rocky cliffs, ancient churches and dramatic beaches, this contemporary apartment invites you to discover the authentic Italian beauty of Praiano. 

Rustle up some breakfast in the kitchen then step out onto the terrace to enjoy it from the outdoor sofa – there's no better way to spend a morning than sipping on a fresh cup of coffee with blue ocean stretching out before you. 

There's much to discover in central Praiano. Head to Marina di Praia beach to observe the colourful fishing boats or cool off in the shallow bay. There's even a beachfront restaurant if you're feeling peckish or just fancy trying some local food on the sand. 

Home to fresh fish and open-air markets, pick up some ingredients in town and head home for a barbecue. Gather around the outdoor table to enjoy an alfresco seafood dinner on the patio and a few glasses of Italian wine. End the evening by perching on one of the sun loungers to enjoy the sun setting over the ocean. 

Garden of Praiano

Located only 3 kilometres from Amalfi town and around 800 metres from Il Duoglio Beach, this villa suits a family or group of friends seeking a sun-soaked holiday. The outside space was our favourite feature – we couldn’t get enough of the Tyrrhenian Sea views from the hot tub and the seating area. Inside, two bedrooms boast balcony access, and the third has its own terrace. Just so you know, you’ll need to descend 90 steps to reach the home.

Tyrrhenian Jewel

Peering over the Amalfi Coast, this postcard-worthy villa is the perfect Positano escape. With three terraces to choose from, you’ll start your day deliberating where to take breakfast – will it be at the bistro set under the magenta sprays of bougainvillaea or perhaps you’ll dine in the shade by the abundant lemon tree? Afternoons are for doing very little – lazing on a lounger with an ice-cold drink in hand, watching the boats bob on the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea. 

Inside, there’s a minimalist yet lively approach to the living space. Yellow patterned tiles are a counterpoint to the pristine white walls and we loved the homely feel of the antique cherry wood furniture. The bedrooms are comfortable and cheery and the brightly coloured bathrooms are sure to put a pep in your step in the mornings. 

When you’re ready to explore, Positano Beach is just a short walk from your doorstep and you’re within touching distance of restaurants, bars and independent shops. After a slap-up seafood dinner by the water, return to your abode to watch the sky swirl in pinks and purples as you sip an Aperol spritz.

Amalfi Postcard

Explore the stunning Sorrento Peninsula from this dreamy villa, based in a peaceful and private area just a short drive from Massa Lubrense. This home boasts its own direct access to a small pebble beach just 60 steps below, where you'll find loungers and parasols as well as your very own private shower, for an extra touch of luxury. The home's elevated spot means that you can also enjoy the stunning sea views from the lounge as well as the glorious terrace, with places to sit up and eat, and sit back and relax.

Capture the Light

Overlooking the vivid Gulf of Salerno, this gorgeous apartment is perched on the steep cliffside of Positano – a popular village resort sitting prettily on the Amalfi Coast. In every direction of your doorstep, you'll discover winding streets dotted with inviting cafes and boutiques, as well as the historic Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta. If you're feeling adventurous, why not lace up your hiking boots and trail along the Sentiero degli Dei? 

Come on into this coastal-coloured home, where the bold splashes of blue bring the waterside ambiance indoors. Wander into the kitchen and prepare an Italian breakfast, then plan out your itinerary at this intimate dining table for two. If you want to feel that sea breeze in the morning, simply walk out on your sun-soaked terrace and enjoy the bird's eye view. We think that this is the perfect spot for unwinding in the hot tub after sightseeing, and watching a romantic sunset with your partner as you sample some local limoncello.

Where Boats Bob

You’ll find this apartment conveniently situated in the heart of Sorrento, just 250 metres from Piazza Tasso’s shops and restaurants. If day trips are on the agenda, Positano and Amalfi are reachable by car – though keep in mind there’s no on-site parking here. The private garden with a seating area and dining table for six is the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Inside, the kitchen is well-appointed, and while the antique styling won’t be to everyone’s taste, you’re guaranteed a comfortable stay from start to finish.

The Sweetest Sound

There's realistically only one thing we can start with when talking about this home and that's the gorgeous view of the Gulf of Naples that lies out of the main living area's huge window. Thankfully, these French doors open wide and the balcony lets you take in the coastal panorama with the sunlight on your skin. If you're still in need of another vantage point, guests also get access to a communal roof terrace with some seating on which to clink glasses while the sun sets in the background.

Right, enough about the scenery, because the apartment itself deserves some praise. There's an elegant simplicity to the design, with the whitewashed walls working well with the ample amounts of natural light, plus a minimalist kitchen ready and waiting for Italian feasts. We also like the ceramics collection arranged in alcoves in the hallways, which pay homage to the region's culture and heritage in chic fashion.

As you can tell by looking out the window, you don't have to venture far to find the beach – as a matter of fact, Spiaggia di San Montano is only 200 metres away. There are a few bars and restaurants in the local area, but for a wider choice along with some magnificent historic architecture, Sorrento is just a short drive away up the coastline.

Glittering Gulf

Enjoy a serene stay at this small but perfectly formed home, located in the heart of Positano, close to many fabulous restaurants and bars that make this coastal village so sought-after with travellers. This home’s crown jewel is in its marvellous large terrace, providing a stunning view out across the ocean, as well as plenty of places to relax in the sun and the shade – the swinging egg chair makes for a great place to sit with a good book, while the covered lounge area is fantastic for having a drink together and watching the sunset. There’s also sun loungers so you can work on your tan.

Inside, you’ll find a gorgeous blue and white colour scheme throughout to remind you of the sea, as well as little decor touches that make it feel like home. We love the country kitchen style dining table, ideal for feasting on tasty salads and pasta dishes – and the sofa and TV provide a nice place to chill out when you need a break from the sunshine.

Ready to venture out? You’ll find plenty to do right on your doorstep – you can enjoy wandering along idyllic winding paths and discovering quaint cafes and vibrant drinking spots – plus the metro station is just a stone’s throw away so you can travel beyond with ease if you choose to.
