If you’re after countryside views and peaceful surroundings, this villa in the Mugello valley certainly delivers. Dating back to the 18th century, it's kept plenty of its original character, with terracotta floors, wood-beamed ceilings, and a stone staircase. There's plenty of space to spread out, with two living rooms and two dining rooms. Outside, you’ll find tree-lined gardens, a private pool and a pergola, where you can dine while taking in sweeping views. You’ll need a car here, but local restaurants and the town of Vicchio are only minutes away, plus Florence and Bologna are within easy reach for daytrips.

Mugello Views

This stunning villa is hidden away in the secluded countryside of Tuscany, just thirty minutes from Florence. The Tuscan farmhouse boasts a private heated swimming pool, 4 acres of gardens, and striking views of the Schifanoia Valley. Just beyond the gardens, which are filled with centuries-old oaks, chestnut trees, and Mediterranean flowers, you’ll be able to admire the estate’s sunflowers. The idyllic setting makes this home perfect for relaxing holidays. There's even friendly staff on hand to ensure that your stay goes without a hitch, including daily chef's breakfast, daily housekeeping, on-site concierge, and linen changes twice a week.

Canopy of Elegance

Spread across the farmhouse and a cottage, this charming home can be found in the Tuscan countryside, where it offers both tranquillity and space in spades. Wander the lush grounds as you admire the rolling hills on the horizon and make your way towards the outdoor dining table, where you can enjoy pizza and pasta al fresco in the shade of the towering tree. 

Admire the Apennine foothills from in and around the private swimming pool, or spend the morning walking the hilly terrain surrounding the home until you’ve found the perfect spot to settle down. 

Organise horseback riding or play a few sets of tennis on the court no more than 4km away from the home. Though there’s plenty to do in and around this home, Florence is also within driving distance whenever you're in the mood for a cultural injection. 

Tuscan Cradle

Surrounded by 70,000 square metres of glorious greenery and Romagna’s undulating hills, this villa just outside Cesana is a relaxing getaway that will reconnect you with nature. 

Thanks to its position at the foot of a hill, the home has sublime 360-degree panoramic views of breathtaking countryside, not to mention its own stunning grounds where an inviting pool takes centre stage. Spend afternoons soaking up the Italian rays and taking cool dips in the water before gathering around the pergola’s table for an alfresco feast. 

When you need to retreat from the heat, find the shaded hammock to laze in with a good book, or head inside to the open-plan living area with its vaulted beamed ceiling and comfortable sofa. 

When it’s time for bed, make a beeline for the pared-back bedrooms and watch the moon hang over the hills from the picture windows. In the morning, you’ll wake up to glorious views – even enjoyed from under the rainfall shower in the main en-suite. 

When it comes to exploring the local area, you’re just a twenty-three-minute drive from Cesena and a fifty-minute drive from Rimini, while the foodie city of Bologna is an hour and fifteen minutes away by car. 


Emilia Romanza

Explore the beautiful Adriatic Riviera from this charming home, just a stone’s throw away from Cattolica’s sandy beaches. Bright and white inside, elegant details abound in the living room where gold curtains, tiled floors and a large fireplace invite plenty of rest and relaxation. Outside, a palm-framed pool gives the garden zen-like tranquility, with sun loungers perfectly positioned to catch some rays. Spend the afternoon enjoying the cool soak of the pool’s waterfall or head to the umbrella striped beach, less than five minutes away on foot. Rimini, with its lively nightclubs and golden beaches, is also just over thirty minutes away by car. In the evenings, gather around the home's outdoor dining table for a barbecue, then head inside for a night of musical fun in the games room, ready to host a jam session with its piano and guitar. 

Adriatic Jewel

We can’t imagine a holiday more serene than a stay in a seaside villa. Gifted with rooftop views of a scenic landscape, a pool right by the water (you can see the masts of bright white yachts while swimming laps) and a furnished terrace where you can eat your favourite meals and unwind with a drink or two, it’s all about the outdoor living here. After tucking into dinner under the pergola, you’ll be eager to head up to the roof for a soothing soak in the Jacuzzi. There are lounges all over the house so you can snuggle up on the sofa and watch a classic on Netflix, sit outside in the breeze as you sip some red wine and escape to a cosy living room for some alone time with a good read. When you’re looking for some family fun in the sand, Portoverde Beach is just a fifteen-minute walk from home. 

Iris by the Sea

Nestled in the verdant hills of Bologna, this villa is part of a luxurious resort that offers guests a truly unique and indulgent experience. With an array of amenities on-site, including restaurants, a spa, a tennis court, a children’s play area, and a golf course, you'll have everything you need for an unforgettable stay. The villa itself boasts spacious and stylish interiors spread over two floors (this may not suit those with limited mobility), complete with four charming bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Outdoors, you can relax in the garden with a glass of Sangiovese or indulge in the hot tub. This farmhouse is tucked away in the Mugello valley, on a working farm just outside Borgo San Lorenzo. The garden is where it's at — there’s a pool for cooling off, and a patio that’s perfect for dining under the Tuscan sky. Inside, there's plenty of traditional charm with wooden beams and tiled floors, plus a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom for guests who prefer fewer stairs. Some areas feel a bit dated, and there’s only a small sofa, but the outdoor space is ideal for relaxing. You can even book a private chef or go on a farm tour. You’ll need a car, but restaurants are close by and Florence is only an hour’s drive.

Tuscan Garden Retreat

Just a short drive from Borgo San Lorenzo, this home is a fuss-free find for families. We love the garden and its swimming pool, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Tuscan sun. The terrace makes a great spot for alfresco meals, while the interiors marry traditional features with modern touches. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, everyone will have their own space. When you're ready to explore, hop in the car and take a day trip to Florence – it's just 30 kilometres away.

Ceramic Verdure

This farmhouse sits in a picturesque spot overlooking the Mugello valley, just outside the village of Vicchio di Mugello and its lake. The garden is perfect for outdoor meals and days in the sun, with a barbecue and sweeping countryside views. Inside, it’s been kept suitably rustic with wood-beamed ceilings, tiled floors, and a cosy living room with a fireplace. It's worth bearing in mind there's no wi-fi, but it’s a great chance to unplug. You can walk into Vicchio in about twenty minutes for restaurants, bars, and cafes. Or if you decide to rent a car, Florence is only an hour away – so it’s a peaceful base, yet still close to the city.

Village Sunset

This home is a lesson in history, from the Roman era of lavish bathhouses and marble statues, to the present day. Spa days in the privacy of your home await with an indoor pool that could rival the ancient baths of old Rome and a sauna and Turkish hammam to complete the experience. And the state-of-the-art gym is a reminder that you’re still in the 21st century. On sunny days, pad from the indoor pool to the outdoor pool, lined with loungers. From here, a stairway leads to the rest of the gardens where 15,000 square metres are filled with marble statues, linden trees and vast lawns. You could get lost exploring each manicured area bursting with herbs and flowers. 

Heading inside this 17th-century villa, you’ll find sitting rooms adorned with frescoes, gilded mirrors and arched windows looking out over the vineyards and rolling hills of your locale. There are several lounges to choose from, but our favourite might have to be the art-deco-style room with its 1920s bar for rounds of cocktails and a grand piano to set the soundtrack yourself. There’s no denying that each bedroom and bathroom feels grand, as though designed for Italian nobility with marble finishes and Jacuzzi tubs. But, heading into the kitchen, the scene changes to one of farmhouse rusticana, with all the mod cons of the 21st century to help you cater for the group.

The location is a secluded one, tucked away amidst the agricultural landscape of Emilia Romagna (considered the larder of Italy). The Adriatic Sea is a short drive away should you wish to hit the beach and there are plenty of places to pause for an espresso or stock up on the famous produce of the region in the nearby town of Forli. One thing not to miss is the view from ‘The Balcony of Romagna’ at the medieval borgo of Bertinolo, just a kilometre away.
