With its location just moments from the Spanish Steps, this apartment is hard to beat. It can't get more central than this – you'll be within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese, and countless eateries. After a long day on your feet, you'll appreciate the indoor Jacuzzi waiting for you back home. The overall design is contemporary and chic, featuring open-concept bathrooms that ooze luxury (though privacy is, of course, limited). Travelling as a group of six? Upon request, two guests can kip on single beds in the living area, but we think this home is best for four.

Spagna Relaxation

This apartment in Rome’s trendy Pigneto area might be small in scale, but it has buckets of charm and is an ideal place to stay while exploring all the wonders of the Eternal City. 

You’ll likely fall under the spell of this loft gem the moment you step through the door: the living area is flooded with an abundance of natural light, courtesy of the floor-to-ceiling window. You can kick off your shoes and relax on the sofa, listening to your favourite tunes. We love the artwork on the walls, the record-shaped coffee table, and the lovely and unexpected pieces dotted around. 

Step into the bright and inviting kitchen to rustle up a quick and delicious meal, and enjoy it either at the dining table or out on the balcony, where you can also gaze at the orange rooftops of Rome before you. 
Get a restful night’s sleep in the comfy bed and awake refreshed and ready for another day of la dolce vita, Roman style. 


Tuned In

Simply put, Paparazzi is stylish, well-kept and right in the middle of Rome. Domenico is incredibly attentive as a host, and always ready to help, and while there are a few issues that we found, the majority were unavoidable given the age and positioning of the building (fairly slow wi-fi, for example), and the positives far outweigh the negatives. The apartment has been redone recently and you can really tell, particularly in the bathrooms, which feel very modern and sleek.


Paparazzi

This apartment is just a fifteen-minute walk from one of Rome’s most famous sights – the Colosseum. Located in the popular Esquilino district, you’ll also find bars, trattorias, and the city’s oldest gelateria nearby. We love the private terrace here, which is perfect for a morning espresso or alfresco meal. Inside, the living space isn’t huge – especially at full occupancy when four guests will be sleeping on sofa beds. But if you favour location over square footage, then this could be the home for you.

Roman Gem

Before we even stepped foot in this apartment we fell in love with it. Located just beside Termini station, you're connected to the entire Eternal city, while also being only a nineteen-minute walk away from the Colosseum. You really couldn't be better placed. Inside, the home has a warm, genuine feel to it with vibrant patterned wallpapers, pops of colour and dark wooden furnishings. Sleep soundly in the charming bedrooms where plenty of natural light pours through the Juliet balconies and into the rustic yet homely interior. Take to the stylish breakfast bar for a quick coffee, before exploring the iconic sights of Rome. With great links to the wider area and Italy as a whole, if you're ever looking to roam beyond the city (unlikely, we know), a trip back into the past to the ancient site of Pompeii is an excellent excursion and is just over two hours on the train. 

Magic Eye

This stunning penthouse apartment offers breathtaking views of the Pincio, home to the Spanish Steps. The terrace is perfect for relaxing, enjoying the scenery, and soaking up the sun – and there’s plenty of room for you to spread out. The owner of this apartment is an artist and architect – you can see how skilfully it’s been renovated, blending vintage pieces with modern style. In terms of location, you’ll be a short walk from many of Rome’s most popular attractions, including the Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese, and the Trevi Fountain. 

Roman Gardens

In the days of Ancient Rome, the grounds of this home belonged to the Baths of Agrippa. Now it stands as a gateway to the heart of Italian living – a place to discover the atmospheric beauty and cultural depth of the city. 

Tucked in the Pigna district right in the centre of Rome, this apartment brings a touch of contemporary luxury to its traditional roots. It’s the kind of setting that draws you in with its charm and character, inviting you to enjoy life’s simple luxuries as well as a few quirky features. And whether you’re sipping drinks in the living room or gathering around the table for a candlelit dinner, it’s easy to settle in and feel at home here. 

Stepping outside, you can stroll through the atmospheric streets towards the iconic sights – the Pantheon is just three–minutes away while the Trevi Fountain is an eleven–minute walk. And with an abundant selection of local bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep, there’s everything you could need to feel inspired by the Eternal City. 

Hope & Glory 

Situated less than five minutes’ stroll from Rome’s Termini station, this apartment is well-placed for travel around the city or further afield. Landmarks like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum are within walking distance too, so you’ll be in a great spot for sightseeing (if a little lively). The apartment itself is a comfortable place to relax, with a few small quirks, like the bathroom being off the kitchen. And if five of you are staying, one will sleep on the sofa bed. But the convenient location wins points with us, as does the sunny shared roof terrace that’s perfect for coffee or cocktails.

Golden Interior

Tucked away in the heart of Rome, this apartment is ideal for those keen to explore the city’s historic sights on foot. While it’s not the fanciest setup inside, it’s well-equipped, featuring a compact kitchen for light meals and a desk that’s perfect for planning your next day’s adventures. The fifth guest will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room, but it’s a comfortable spot to rest after a long day exploring the city. And when it comes to location, it couldn’t be better – you’re just steps from Piazza di Spagna and within easy reach of Rome’s most iconic landmarks.

A Rome Heart

Simply charming, you'll be captivated by the quaint Roman charm from the moment you arrive here. Minimal designs and modern furnishings create a fuss-free, compact space ideal for long weekends and short stays in the city. While painted radiators, geometric mirrors, and ceramic cacti all bring character, pops of colour seen through the mismatched chairs and cushions make waking up here refreshingly easy. Set away from the more touristy areas, the home is situated on Via Tiburtina, a road with history going all the way back to the third century BCE, and these days it’s a bustling thoroughfare, always packed with locals going about their business. Get to know the public transport system and hop on the underground metro or bus routes to reach Rome's best known historic attractions, with most sights averaging around a twenty-five-minute commute from this home. That being said, you'll never be far from authentic Italian eateries and restaurants here, and in the Tiburtino district, you'll be eating top-notch, quality pizza and pasta as if you were a local, rather than being sucked in by tourist traps and prices elsewhere in the city.


Far Horizons

Situated in the Termini neighbourhood, this apartment is a short stroll from Rome’s main train station, which makes seeing many of the city’s attractions super convenient. A variety of sights are within walking distance, too, including the Museo Nazionale Romano and the Roman Forum, as well as the National Library and the University of La Sapienza. Housed in a building dating back to 1885, this simply designed home has an open-plan living room and a private balcony – the perfect place for evening drinks. There’s also a large, shared roof terrace with views over Rome.
