Perched by Lake Como, this villa caught our eye thanks to its beautiful surroundings – best enjoyed from the infinity pool or terrace. Inside, sliding doors connect the open living space to the outdoor area, where you'll find sun loungers, a dining table, and a barbecue. Spread over four floors with an internal lift, there's also a fully equipped home gym, complete with a sauna and spa shower. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms benefit from sweeping lake views, and there's a study area for those working remotely. And, when you're ready to explore, it's just a short drive from the city of Como – the villa also comes with garage parking.

Lake Love Letters

Sharing its outdoor pool with just one other apartment, this modern home sits in large gardens, in a quiet spot overlooking the rolling hills – the blue of Lake Garda just visible across the trees. With lovely lawns, old olive trees and plenty of green all around, it's a comfortable and practical home-from-home. 

Inside, it's a ground floor apartment well suited to family life. Modern in design, its big windows and spacious rooms keep it bright and sociable, with all eyes on the view to the rear. There's a well kitted-out kitchen and a dining table inside, but we think you'll be spending much of your time eating on the covered terrace. 

After breakfast, head to the gated outdoor pool for a morning of swimming and playing on the trampoline, or hop in your car and you'll be by the lakeshore in a little over five minutes. 

From your home, it's a short walk into the village of Soiano del Lago, with its grocery shop and small restaurants, making this the ideal choice for a quiet family holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the busy resorts. Drive to the nearby beaches for fun at the lake, or spend a day at one of the nearby amusement parks – Gardaland is around half an hour's drive away.

Oranges & Almonds

This serviced studio is ideal for a romantic break or solo trip. Next to Bogogno Golf Club and just thirty minutes from Lake Maggiore or Malpensa Airport, it’s part of a renovated Italian farmhouse with plenty of character. Think rustic stone walls and terracotta floors. The space is cleverly designed, with a screened-off kitchen and big windows that open onto your own section of terrace beneath the wisteria. You can also make use of the shared gardens. Restaurants are a short walk away, and optional extras like breakfast or even a butler service can be arranged. It’s compact and there’s no sofa, but with so much to explore nearby, we doubt you'll want to lounge about anyway.

Studio Wisteria

Halfway between Italy’s Varese and Switzerland’s Lugano, this cosy Cunardo apartment puts you right in the middle of lake country. The interiors are simple and practical – there's no living room, but the bedroom has plenty of space to spread out. Step outside and you’ll find friendly local trattorias and bars that make you feel right at home. And with Switzerland just a half-hour drive away, you can cross the border for lunch and be back in time for an evening aperitivo.

The Rustic Retreat

Tucked away on the first floor of an elegant building that dates back to the 1800s, this apartment is a very comfortable base in Verona. It’s in the historic district of Veronetta, a lively area full of artisan workshops. You’ll be within easy walking distance of all the sights – Juliet’s house is just six minutes away, and Verona Arena is twelve minutes away. 


Veronese Reviere

Located just a short walk from the centre of Florence, this Santa Maria Novella ticks all the important boxes for us, making it a functional base for city exploring. The fully equipped kitchen and large dining table let you enjoy a hearty breakfast before you head into town, and we like that the home gets plenty of natural light – always a nice way to start the day. When you want to explore, you'll find Strozzi Palace close by, as well as Florence Santa Maria Novella station, connecting you to the rest of Tuscany and beyond.

Florence Charmer

This charming villa will wrap you up in Italian charm, whether you’re staying on holiday or using the home for a wedding or special event. With views of Tabiano Castle and the surrounding countryside, the generous gardens offer the perfect place to soak up the sun, while dining alfresco is a must with a barbecue and pizza oven. With its enviable location, you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking and horse riding nearby, along with the beautiful cities of Salsomaggiore Terme, Fidenza, Parma and Piacenza.

The Gem of Emilia

This historic villa is in Gargano, a small town with a beautiful town centre, right on the shores of Lake Garda. There are restaurants and shops to explore nearby if you can tear yourselves away from the terrace, where you can admire breathtaking views of  Lake Garda. There’s an alfresco dining area and a private swimming pool, in addition to a garden spread over five levels. With its olive and lemon trees, fragrant bougainvillea, and ancient stone walls, it feels like something from a storybook. 


The Garden by the Lake

If you dream of castles, breathtaking views, and beautiful interiors that are fit for a prince or princess, then this is the home for you. Perched above Lake Garda, this apartment is a wildly romantic spot – it's guaranteed to sweep you off your feet. 

The pastel colour palette creates a charming, almost whimsical feel, where you can settle into life by the lake. The checkered sofa is a lovely place to curl up with a glass of Italian red wine, while the kitchen invites you to whip up your favourite pasta dishes. Step outside onto the balcony, and you can gaze out across the water – from quick breakfasts to lavish dinners, the alfresco dining space is lovely at all times of the day. Plus, you even have access to a shared swimming pool – it doesn't get much better than this. 

Padenghe Castle, a medieval fort, is just a five-minute walk away, where you can stroll through the ruins and soak up the sense of history. The edge of the lake is just a five-minute drive away, and you can walk or cycle along the many trails nearby. And, if you're a golfer then you're in luck – two of the most popular courses are within a six-kilometre drive of the house. 

Fairytale Weekend

Surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Valpolicella, this home makes the perfect setting for an adults only escape. Slow down and savour blissful days by the communal swimming pool. There’s also a peaceful terrace with a barbecue for alfresco dining. Inside, the rooms have been thoughtfully designed to inspire instant relaxation. There’s plenty of space for socialising and all of the bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms for optimum privacy. You will need a car to get around here, but it’s just a short drive to Lake Garda and Verona. Plus, the Adige River is just a short walk away. 

River of Grace

Situated in a hilltop village, this home offers panoramic views from the terrace. The plunge pool is ideal for cooling off after relaxing in the sun, and you’ve got a choice of alfresco tables where you can enjoy your morning espresso. When it comes to mealtimes, the kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare family favourites, and if you want a break from cooking, the local trattoria can deliver. Hikers and cyclists will appreciate the UNESCO heritage walkway, which is on the doorstep. And for day trips, the bustling spa town of Acqui Terme is a fifteen-minute drive away.
