Casa Dhanu

Located in the Le Marche countryside, this traditional stone house provides a good base to explore the Italian countryside from. With every bedroom being an en-suite, it’s great for sharing with your loved ones, while still maintaining your privacy. Though the house feels a little dated in parts, there’s plenty here to keep you entertained. Outside, the home boast a large garden, a couple of terraces to enjoy alfresco meals on, as well as a private swimming pool with sun loungers. You’ll find the nearest shops and restaurants in the town of Montelparo and several sandy beaches are also within easy reach. 

Flowers & Pastels

Nestled between the valleys and fields of central Italy, this luxury, eco-conscious country house provides the perfect base for a rural getaway. What was once an abandoned farmhouse has been sensitively restored to reflect the bountiful Marche countryside, honouring its traditional characteristics while adding a flair of modernity. Inside, terracotta tiles and wooden beamed ceilings blend harmoniously with chic, minimalist furniture and a modern, farmhouse-style kitchen. 

The interior is beautiful, but we imagine you’ll be spending most of your time making the most of the outdoors. Especially when considering the outdoor kitchen, fully equipped for trying your hand at local dishes. Spend days lounging by the saltwater pool, taking a dip to cool off, while soaking in the rural surroundings. And spend evenings beneath the pergola, white curtains gently swaying in the wind, tucking into a fresh barbecue dinner around the dining table. After nights of tipsy piano playing and a few games of pool, you’ll love sinking into your cosy beds, already looking forward to waking up to the verdant, rolling views that both bedrooms are met with. 

If you never wanted to leave this slice of countryside heaven, we’d get it. But this corner of Italy is one of the last areas that isn’t yet on the tourist trail, so you can explore the region of Marche and its beaches, walled cities, and archaeological sites with ease. 

Memories from Marche

This dreamy home has stood in this spot in the countryside of Umbria since the 16th century. It’s been lovingly restored from the farmhouse it was, though its charm and character have been left untouched. Strolling through the warm and welcoming villa, you’ll spot chestnut beams and arched doorways as a nod to yesteryear. 

The villa is tucked away in the countryside outside a small village, fifteen minutes from Spoleto. Umbria is known as the Green Heart of Italy, so of course you can count on wonderful rural views – the rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards that surround this home make for a breath-taking backdrop. Sit out on the upper terrace to soak up the sun and revel in the panoramic vista, before strolling to the heated salt-water pool for a dip. The pool looks out over an olive grove, adding to the tranquillity of the setting. 

In the evening, cook on the barbecue and sit out late under the stars. Sip Sagrantino and feel your worries float away on the breeze. 


Hillside Stone

Surrounded by cypresses and olive trees, this hilltop villa is the perfect place to soak up the Italian sunshine. Featuring elegant interiors inspired by classical style and a tranquil Mediterranean garden, we reckon you'll never want to leave. Each room features antique furniture and paintings, and we can just imagine sinking back into the leather sofa in the living room. In the garden, take a dip in the swimming pool, sunbathe on a lounger, or just settle back with a cool drink on the terrace – it's hard not to be enraptured by the views of the coastline. Prepare an Italian feast in the kitchen, which has a dishwasher, fridge, and oven, or enjoy a barbecue in the garden, then admire the sunset with a glass of wine in hand. This charming villa lies just a short drive from the beach in San Benedetto del Tronto, where you might savour seafood in a restaurant or take walks along the palm-lined promenade.

Phoenix Rising

Even though this charming villa sits out in the Umbrian countryside, you can see the medieval fortress of Asissi from the terrace. The winding streets packed with cafés, restaurants and ancient sights are just a five-minute drive away, yet your secluded abode is surrounded by fields and hills for peace and quiet. Plus, there's a traditional osteria serving Umbrian cuisine on the edge of the forest, just 1km from the villa – four bicycles are provided to get around. 

Within the grounds, you’ve got a sparkling swimming pool on the hillside, overlooking the valley below. While away the days floating on the lilo and drying off on the comfy, beanbag-style loungers. To the side of the house, you’ll find a wooden pergola with greenery creeping up the woodwork where alfresco dining comes courtesy of a wood-fired oven. 

Alternatively, you could opt to cook meals in the sleek, modern kitchen inside and dine in the open-plan living area, surrounded by modern artworks. Bold, textured paintings sit on gallery-white walls and striking sculptures populate the corners of rooms. Perhaps the greatest image, though, is the view of hilltop Asissi from the sliding glass doors in the plush living room. 

Saint Francis

Around fifteen miles inland from the Adriatic, this semi-detached home offers country house interiors and sweeping terrace views. The other side of the home is inhabited by your host and their dog, who you'll share the large fenced garden with but otherwise have complete privacy. The home is certainly peaceful, with the nearest supermarket some two kilometres away – a car is recommended for the region, with room to park on the driveway. Each of the three bedrooms has its own corresponding bathroom, as well as a TV, which you won't find in the living room and kitchen area. You may not need one, however, with such pleasant vistas from the balcony and several day trips reachable throughout the Pescara region.

Casa di Capitano

If you're looking to explore the stunning Italian countryside, then there's no better base to return to than this beautiful villa. This home sits in the idyllic region of Le Marche, just a short drive away from the beaches of the east coast. It's tucked away in the peaceful acres of a grand estate, and provides breathtaking views of the rolling hills and lush woodland surrounding you as well as the ocean in the distance.

Those who love the luxurious lifestyle will feel right at home, as this dwelling has its own private pool with a hot tub feature for swimming and soaking, as well as a tennis court and gym to get the blood pumping. You'll also have access to a shared yoga space where you can do your practice in serene surroundings. The gardens are particularly lovely – there's a covered terrace where you can lounge when the heat turns up, as well as plenty of sunloungers so you can top up your tan. There's even an outdoor kitchen here with a barbecue and pizza oven, so you can live life alfresco.

Inside, the home is elegant and harmonious, with a neutral colour scheme that runs throughout. We love the country-style kitchen where you can cook up Italian pasta feasts for friends and family, and the dining area provides a lovely place to tuck in all together. There's also a tranquil lounge space where you can come in for a midday nap on hot days.

Juliet's Grove

Hidden in the lush greenery of the Colfiorito plateau, this elegant villa lies in a small village between the Italian regions of Umbria and Marche. Fill that need for luxury and solitude, and surround yourself with the breathtaking vistas of the Italian countryside. The historic Art Nouveau style sets this villa apart, and its roots in the local area are apparent from the village chapel attached to the back of the home. Enjoy your own infinity pool, with plenty of space on the terrace and across the vast gardens for alfresco dining, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a plunge in the pool. With bedrooms sorted into suites with some boasting their own bathrooms and living rooms, everyone will have more than enough room to stretch their legs. There is even a cinema room with a projector and a basement playroom for children. Go for a game of ping pong under the lush canopies of the trees, or let the kids play in the gardens while you catch some rays on the row of sun loungers. The spa room is accessible for a fee, too. 

When it comes to exploring the local area, you're in for a treat – you'll already be immersed in the surrounding village, and you'll be just a short drive from the main shopping centre where you'll find some fantastic local restaurants and bars, as well as a supermarket for all the essentials you might need during your stay. A little further afield you'll be able to get on the highway and take a day trip to some of the culture-rich cities of the regions of Umbria and Marche.

Sun-Kissed Green Heart

Nestled in an expansive estate among rolling hills and olive trees, this exceptional home is one of our favourite finds in Le Marche. There are luxurious touches around every corner, from the pristine pool area and private padel court to the beautifully appointed bedrooms. These elegant rooms are set across the main house and a separate annexe, offering lots of space to stretch out. So, if you’re planning a holiday to remember, or there’s a special occasion to celebrate, you might have found the perfect place.

Hidden Citadel

As is typical with homes in Marche, this stunning villa is the perfect blend of old-fashioned charm and modern convenience. Inside, you’ll find terracotta floors and exposed beamed ceilings alongside luxurious vintage furniture and curated art. When in the Italian countryside though, outside is always better. Spend a morning by the private pool before heading to the nearby multi-purpose games area where you can play tennis, volleyball or 5-a-side football. When you’ve worked up an appetite, sit under the jasmine and vine-covered pergola and have some lunch. Later, take a walk through the gardens and help yourself from the fruit trees. End the evening with a cocktail as stars fill the sky. Fashion lovers, take note, you’ll be in a shopping haven here – right near the factory outlets of several manufacturers who make shoes for some of the industry's biggest names.

Fashion Country

Only forty-five minutes away from the ancient city of Rome, this tranquil, wild location feels like a million miles away. This home is secluded, in beautiful lush countryside and surrounded by olive, persimmon and pomegranate trees. You can soak in the picture-perfect views from the private swimming pool, the dining room, or even from the bedroom. The flexible sleeping options (double rooms to twin rooms, plus optional sofa beds in the shared open space) make it a great home for family holidays. It’s also the perfect place to explore the Umbrian and Tuscan countryside with olive groves, vineyards and medieval castles waiting to be discovered. 

Sample delectable local delicacies from the restaurants and tavernas of nearby villages, as well as some of the best wine the region has to offer, and pick up cute little souvenirs to take home as a memento of a truly unforgettable holiday. Turano Lake is a scenic twenty-minute drive from home and offers guests the chance really reconnect with nature with outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing and hiking. And of course, the Eternal City of Rome can be reached in a forty-five-minute drive from the villa, and promises days full of sightseeing, sumptuous dining, and shopping extravaganzas.
