This beautiful home can be found on the Italian coast in a municipality of Ancona known as Sirolo. Whilst small – there are under four-thousand inhabitants – it has been continually praised, and it’s not surprising to see why once you visit. Paying homage to its rich history, it features a restored mediaeval town centre dotted with attractive restaurants and bars that you’ll probably end up frequenting. Once you’ve had lunch with a negroni cocktail, walk to any one of the many beaches to dip your toes into the Adriatic sea. 

Grab tiramisu on your way back home and settle around the dining table to devour it together – don’t forget to make a round of espresso to enjoy afterwards. When you’re done gushing about just how good that was, why not clear the table for a round or two of poker – loser gets the pizza for dinner. As the day winds down, settle into the couch with a good book and simply appreciate the natural warmth of the wooden rafters and exposed brick.

In the Rafters

Spotlights on the super high ceilings, chic bistro furniture, decadent archways, and stone walls. This home has a distinct air of style while retaining its traditional Italian charm. It's the perfect setting while you explore the criminally underrated Italian Adriatic Coast, home to spectacular landscapes, pretty hamlets, and sparkling turquoise waters. You'll love waking up in this apartment, with ceilings so high they feel regal. Take your morning coffee out to the garden and take in the dramatic, beautiful scenery around you as the crisp sea air awakens all your senses.

When it comes to exploring the east coast of Italy, you couldn't be in a better location. You're less than a thirty-second walk from the centre of Sirolo, with its long list of golden sand beaches. It's not just all beaches, there are plenty of museums, churches, and galleries, too. And of course, there are many delicious lunch spots to settle in for the afternoon while looking over at the crystalline Adriatic sea. 


Casa Fascino

Located in Sirolo, an area known as the ‘pearl of the Adriatic’, this home is perfect for your next family holiday or getaway with your friends. Spend many hours soaking up the sunshine on the rooftop terrace as you recline on a sunbed and enjoy a great holiday read.

This home is in a medieval town in the Marche region, situated in the Conero Regional Park, home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the whole region, so why not spend time on the beach – which is reachable in just twenty minutes on foot? Then, in the evening, we would love to dine alfresco on authentic pizza and pasta – accompanied by a bottle of local Italian wine – under the shade of the trees. 

Sirolo Pearl

This 17th-century farmhouse is situated in the peaceful Marche countryside, just 70 kilometres from the sea and close to the villages of San Severino Marche and Torre del Parco. Offering plenty of space across the main house, plus a separate annexe that sleeps up to four guests, you'll have access to two kitchens and living areas here. Best of all, however, is the garden set-up featuring a swimming pool overlooking the landscape with a sun terrace and a jacuzzi hot tub. Although the home's traditional elements may not be to everyone's taste, modern furnishings present a comfortable space where guests can relax after days out discovering the Province of Macerata and surrounding areas.



Casa Cittadella

Set in the countryside, just outside the charming village of Carassai, this peach-coloured casa offers an idyllic retreat with jaw-dropping valley views towards the Adriatic in one direction and the Sibillini Mountains in the other.

Its interior strikes just the right balance between rustic charm and modern convenience. Think exposed beam ceilings, terracotta floors and antique furniture sitting alongside stainless steel appliances and comfortable sofas that are a pleasure to sink into. Upstairs, you'll find three relaxing bedrooms, though the main room is the star of the show, with direct access to a private balcony that takes the vistas to a whole new level. 

Time here is all about emptying your schedule and the sweet joy of doing as little as possible by the pool. However, should you find yourself wanting to explore further afield, the golden beaches of the Adriatic coast are well worth your time. Sirolo, San Benedetto Del Tronto, and Grottammare are particular standouts – as are the beautiful historic hilltop towns of Fermo and Offida and the Romanesque churches of Ascoli Piceno.

Peach Palace

Hidden in the lush greenery of the Colfiorito plateau, this elegant villa lies in a small village between the Italian regions of Umbria and Marche. Fill that need for luxury and solitude, and surround yourself with the breathtaking vistas of the Italian countryside. The historic Art Nouveau style sets this villa apart, and its roots in the local area are apparent from the village chapel attached to the back of the home. Enjoy your own infinity pool, with plenty of space on the terrace and across the vast gardens for alfresco dining, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a plunge in the pool. With bedrooms sorted into suites with some boasting their own bathrooms and living rooms, everyone will have more than enough room to stretch their legs. There is even a cinema room with a projector and a basement playroom for children. Go for a game of ping pong under the lush canopies of the trees, or let the kids play in the gardens while you catch some rays on the row of sun loungers. The spa room is accessible for a fee, too. 

When it comes to exploring the local area, you're in for a treat – you'll already be immersed in the surrounding village, and you'll be just a short drive from the main shopping centre where you'll find some fantastic local restaurants and bars, as well as a supermarket for all the essentials you might need during your stay. A little further afield you'll be able to get on the highway and take a day trip to some of the culture-rich cities of the regions of Umbria and Marche.

Sun-Kissed Green Heart

Found in the heart of Montelupone, surrounded by ancient walls, this sprawling villa is only a stone's throw from the restaurants and shops of this quiet yet historic neighbourhood. Though the style isn’t as cohesive, and two bedrooms may feel cramped by sleeping two extra guests on a sofa bed each, the elevator makes it accessible to a multi-generational family. Throw in a private wine cellar and open-air terrace on the top floor, and the historic house is a serious contender for a laid-back Italian break. When the house begins to feel too small, the garden stretches to one side, where you can let the kids roam free in and around the pool. 

The Sky Terrace

Rustic and romantic, this home in the heart of the Marche countryside is a true escape from the hustle and bustle. Traditional stone walls, beamed ceilings and tile flooring add plenty of warmth and character, while the modern kitchen and white furniture bring this home to the twenty-first century. But the real draw here is the sunny garden. Alongside the pool, there's a charming portico that serves as a second living space. While away your days swimming, sunbathing on the chairs and lounging on the L-shaped sofa. When you want a break from the sun, close the curtains and transform the patio into a shady haven. The wood-burning barbecue grill doubles as a fire pit on chilly evenings – after a delicious meal enjoyed at the outdoor table, watch the sunset over the hills with a glass of wine. This region is rich in history, brimming with charming villages and hamlets. Visit the restaurants and shops in nearby Monte Urano or drive fifteen minutes to the seaside.

As The Day Is Long

Painted in a cheery bright yellow, we think this villa in the Ancona region will have you smiling before you’ve even unloaded the car. Lovingly restored, the house has been renovated in a traditional style that pays homage to its humble start as a farmhouse while showcasing the many great attributes it now holds. Spread over three floors, the home also has two separate apartments - one with a double bedroom and living space on the ground floor which can be accessed from both the main building and the dining terrace, and a small second apartment on the top floor with a sofa, two beds and a kitchenette. As vibrantly decorated inside as it is outside, there’s a rustic, cosy feel to this home that we just love with its antique furniture, bright washes of colour on the walls and exposed ceiling beams that create a warm atmosphere to feel right at home in. But it’s the outside where this sunny villa really shines - with several hundred square metres of land surrounding the villa, you’re treated to not only a beautiful, uninterrupted view of Le Marche countryside but also to a well-cared for, mature garden that features lavender, lilac, pink hydrangeas, oleander, roses, and fruit trees of all kinds. Needless to say, there’s plenty of space to spread out here as well as all sorts of peaceful spots to take a nap, read a book or enjoy an evening aperitivo. And the pool not only boasts some of the best views on the grounds but is large enough to host a whole family of novelty inflatables and is surrounded by a generous number of sun loungers so no one has to wait their turn to top of their tan.

A Sunny Disposition

As is typical with homes in Marche, this stunning villa is the perfect blend of old-fashioned charm and modern convenience. Inside, you’ll find terracotta floors and exposed beamed ceilings alongside luxurious vintage furniture and curated art. When in the Italian countryside though, outside is always better. Spend a morning by the private pool before heading to the nearby multi-purpose games area where you can play tennis, volleyball or 5-a-side football. When you’ve worked up an appetite, sit under the jasmine and vine-covered pergola and have some lunch. Later, take a walk through the gardens and help yourself from the fruit trees. End the evening with a cocktail as stars fill the sky. Fashion lovers, take note, you’ll be in a shopping haven here – right near the factory outlets of several manufacturers who make shoes for some of the industry's biggest names.

Fashion Country

Located just a stone's throw away from Serrapetrona, renowned for its Vernaccia red wine, this country home offers scenic views over the surrounding natural landscape. And with a private swimming pool, extensive gardens and patio terrace to call your own here, you'll find plenty of places to soak it all up. Inside, the home epitomises the quintessential Italian countryside, so while the interiors feel a little dated in parts, the home is filled with charm. Beyond the house, you'll need a car to explore the local area, or we suggest renting bicycles during the warmer months.
