While the seasonal pool is perfect for summertime splashing with the kids, this home's lush garden provides relaxation all year round.

This dreamy home has three terraces with alfresco dining tables and stunning views – not to mention the private pool. The lush gardens are full of olive trees, myrtle bushes and prickly pears, with plenty of cosy corners for romantic moments away from the group. The interiors are a little rustic, but let's face it, you're not travelling to Sardinia to sit inside. The best part is the remarkable location on an exclusive peninsula that looks out over the Maddalena archipelago. Stroll to the beach in minutes, or better yet, head out by boat.

The view is everything here. This modern villa stands in Portobello di Gallura, just 800 metres from Baia dell’Amore beach, and boasts glorious views of the coast. From here you can explore the area's hidden coves and peaceful beaches on foot, and spend your evenings drinking in the spectacular sea sunsets. You’ll have a Jacuzzi to unwind in but no pool, so this home will really only appeal to those who enjoy sea swimming and the feel of sand underfoot. The twin rooms are ideal for children. Bedding and towels aren’t included in the price but can be provided for an additional fee. 

Che Bella

Often overlooked for its showier cousin – Costa Smeralda – the authentic port town of Olbia remains relatively untouched by tourism. Discover its charms at this dazzling new apartment overlooking the waterfront and just a short walk from the town's historic centre, crammed with boutiques, wine bars and a restaurant-lined plaza. More like a hotel room than an apartment – it's important to note there's no kitchen or living area here. However, that private terrace overlooking the sea is a nice touch for morning cuppas, and there's a coffee pod machine to kickstart your days.


The Olive Jam

Sun-seekers will love this Sardinian villa. It can be found in the village of Portobello di Gallura, just a short distance from the sandy shores of Cala Sassari. Its outside space is comprised of two large terraces with plenty of room for everyone to stretch out in the sun – and there are glorious sea views to admire. There's also a private pool. Inside the villa is crisp and modern, though you’ll have to pay for bed and bath linen (or bring your own). When you’re not at the beach, you can soak up the rays on the hiking and cycling trails of the Gallura area – it’s best to hire a car if you want to explore.

Sea views, a flower-filled private garden, and plenty of spots to unwind or dine alfresco – this villa serves up a true slice of la dolce vita. There’s an open-air kitchen plus two more inside, should you fancy rustling up a feast. The bright, breezy bedrooms each have their own rustic charm; two open onto terraces, while the third is a private annex with its own kitchen and bathroom – ideal for families. You’re close to Cannigione’s shops and restaurants, but a car’s a must to explore the island fully. No pool? No problem. Who needs one when you’re just steps from the sea?

Inside, you'll find comforting home furnishings, colourful artworks, and a light-filled space that puts you at ease. Open up the french doors and flood the white space with a cooling sea breeze as you recline on the linen sofa with your new summer read. Walk just twenty metres down your private path to reach the dazzlingly clear water, where a spot of rock pooling might be in order, or if you seeking powdery sands, the beaches of Pellicano and Mare e Rocce are both within a ten-minute walk. Pittulongu is worth the seven-minute drive – enjoy its white bay scalloping the seafront, and indulge in the fresh seafood menu at Trattoria Rossi. 

If you’re seeking a restorative day at your villa, the cushioned seats under the pergola make for a perfect lounging spot. The outdoor dining table is the natural social setting for sharing a cold bottle of Vermentino di Gallura and a chargrilled Mediterranean dinner. When the plates have been cleared, settle into the garden chairs for panoramic sunset views. 

Paradise in Pittulongu

Located in the heart of Cala Rossa on Sardinia’s northern coast, this cosy beachfront apartment will charm you as soon as you walk in the door. The undisputed highlight is immediately evident when you cross the threshold – that view of the sea complemented by the pink-hued terrace, a perfect place to chat over a glass of wine. Though the kitchen is lacking some amenities, the easy access to the beach more than makes up for it – it’s just a 300 metre walk away.

Beachfront Vista

If rest and relaxation are top priorities, look no further than this villa on Sardinia’s northwest coast. The place is unfussy but well-equipped and the separate bedroom and bathroom are ideal for those who’d like their own space. Just so you know, bed linen and towels aren’t included in the price and will need to be requested at the time of booking. Outside, there are plenty of spots to unwind in the sunshine and the private pool offers knockout views of the Mediterranean Sea. Location-wise, you’re a short drive from traditional restaurants and Li Cossi Beach.

Sardinia in Bloom

This villa is an excellent spot in which to admire the natural beauty of Sardinia. Thanks to the home's elevated position, guests get a wonderful view of the dazzling blue waters of Porto Rotondo from the upper floors. However, don't be surprised if the paradisical garden immediately below grabs your attention, too.

Out here in among the colourful flower beds and handsome granite walls, you can while away lazy afternoons paddling about in the swimming pool, catching some rays on the loungers or cooking up a storm in the outdoor kitchen (complete with a barbecue and pizza oven).

Inside, the home is spread across four floors, so while there are plenty of stairs, it feels cool and airy, thanks to the high ceilings, stark white walls and terracotta tiling underfoot. There's a discernible rustic theme to the design, from the wicker chairs and natural-themed artwork to the large rock feature in the main entrance hall.

With the nautical location, you might not be surprised to learn that there are two beaches that can be reached in just over a quarter of an hour's walk (Spiaggia dei Sassi and di Ira), while the historic city of Olbia takes a similar amount of time to reach in the car, too. Closer to home, there are a handful of restaurants, bars and discos in the local area.

Grand Finale

As if sat on the very edge of the world, this villa is in a slice of countryside and coastline that sings Sardinia’s highest praises. Gaze out at the endless sun, sea and sky from the comfort of a sun lounger. When the heat gets too much, slip into the turquoise pool, or find shade under the covered terrace. The island’s rugged hillsides loom behind the terracotta-roofed home, painting a picture of idyllic Sicillian life. Though the kitchen, living and dining area indoors has everything you need, an outdoor kitchenette with a built-in barbecue, terrace seating, and an outdoor sofa mean alfresco living is at the forefront of this home. Bagging one of the ground floor bedrooms means immediate garden access, with everything pointing to the inviting pool. If you prefer your water saline and fringed with soft sand, head down to your local beach, or drive to the harbourside shops and restaurants of Porto Rotondo or Olbia.
