Enjoy a peaceful retreat at this renovated farmhouse apartment just fifteen minutes from the banks of Lake Garda. The characterful home enjoys its own private terrace, as well as shared access to a flower-filled communal garden and children's playground. With a range of water sports and scenic walks just a short drive away, there really is something for everyone – including your furry friends, if you choose to take them along.

Inside, the characterful home has been traditionally decorated with red and green accents (all we can see is the Italian flag!) letting the striking exposed stone ceiling do the talking. In the homely bedroom, double doors lead directly onto the terrace, so you can wake up and immediately step out into the morning sun.

The lakefront town of Gargnano is within easy reach. Here, you'll find picturesque streets lined with colourful centuries-old buildings. Choose a down-to-earth Italian restaurant to sample the local cuisine, and enjoy a creamy gelato as you stroll along the water. Don't leave without picking up a bottle of the region's wine to sip in your garden as the sun dips into the inky lake.

The Stone Ceiling

This Lake Garda villa couldn't get closer to the water if it tried. Boasting a private swimming dock and boat mooring (complete with a canoe for exploring), and gently sloping waters for a paddle, it's perfect for guests looking to make the most of the priceless lake setting. Granted, the interiors may feel a little dated in places for some, but we'll excuse that for the monumental views, and the largest bedroom suite sleeping four is handy for a small family sharing. When you're ready to sample Lake Garda life, you're just a short walk from Bogliaco for an easy bite to eat and a short drive from the vibrant town of Toscolano-Maderno.

Oak & Ash

Set on the banks of Lake Garda, this villa is as close to the water as you can get. And there’s no better place to soak up the views than from the private pool or on the dining terrace. Inside, a family or group of friends have plenty of space to spread out, and the kitchen is well-appointed for those who like to cook. While the bedrooms are comfortable, it’s worth noting there aren’t any bedside tables or reading lights. Keen to explore? The charming town of Lazise is a short drive away. 

Glorious Garda

This historic villa is in Gargano, a small town with a beautiful town centre, right on the shores of Lake Garda. There are restaurants and shops to explore nearby if you can tear yourselves away from the terrace, where you can admire breathtaking views of  Lake Garda. There’s an alfresco dining area and a private swimming pool, in addition to a garden spread over five levels. With its olive and lemon trees, fragrant bougainvillea, and ancient stone walls, it feels like something from a storybook. 


The Garden by the Lake

Situated south of the glamorous centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo, this charming pine-clad apartment offers easy access to some of the best skiing, mountain biking and hiking terrain that Italy has to offer. But that's not all. It also happens to be one of the best resorts in the Dolomites for those who prefer their holidays a little less exhilarating – with winter walking, skating, boutique shopping and fine dining on offer.

With copious amounts of wood teamed with a traditional rustic mountain design, the apartment makes for a welcoming high-altitude escape for a family or group of friends. A cosy living and dining space contains sufficient corners for everyone to claim a spot, with the adjacent kitchen equipped for all your needs despite its compact size.

Elsewhere, three cosy bedrooms offer a hygge-inspired haven of comfy beds and untreated wood. Every possible effort has been made to use natural materials wherever possible. Perhaps the standout feature of the entire home is the stunning wooden bath – perfect for a luxuriant soak after a long day in the mountains. 

Wild Pine

SItuated amidst a picturesque olive grove in the heart of the renowned Valpolicella region, this villa offers a truly enchanting setting. With its elegant and modern style, this two-story villa seamlessly blends interior and exterior spaces, providing superb panoramic views of the Verona skyline from the welcoming living area and furnished terrace. The outdoor areas are set in lush gardens and feature a swimming pool surrounded by tall trees, creating a tranquil atmosphere for relaxation. Villa degli Ulivi is conveniently located just 10 km from the beautiful city of Verona,close to Lake Garda and perfectly positioned for exploring the captivating Valpolicella region. This haven of peace offers an idyllic stay for those seeking a bucolic escape with easy access to one of Italy's most breathtaking cities.

Elegant Olive Grove Retreat

Fresh mountain air flows through this valley in the South Tyrol district, the northernmost region in Italy. It boasts some of the most majestic mountain views in the country – and that’s just one of the reasons we fell in love with this home. 

The first thing you'll notice as you approach is the chalet-like charm, set among a rolling meadow landscape. The apartment is located on the ground floor and has a simple yet, classic interior style – this pared-back style allows the magnificent scenery outside to steal the spotlight. Soft neutral tones are used throughout, giving the space a retreat-like feel. The feeling is further amplified by the on-site amenities like an infrared sauna room and steam room where you can soothe your muscles between adventures. 

During the winter months, skiers and snowboarders can take a seven-minute drive to the slopes at the Reinswald resort to shred some powder. If you're visiting during the warmer seasons, then you can take your pick from outdoor activities including horse riding, cycling, and golf, all with the epic alpine backdrops. And, with the town of Sarnthein just seven minutes away by car, you can make a splash in the outdoor swimming pool and then refuel with some hearty fare from one of the local restaurants. 

Blossoming Meadow

With stop-and-stare views of Lake Garda (which is a short walk away), this villa is perfect for a family holiday or group getaway. The sunny gardens are our favourite feature – there’s a scenic swimming pool overlooking the lake, plus plenty of shaded spots to laze with a good book. Inside, the accommodation is spread across the main villa and a separate annexe and apartment, with wooden beams and exposed stonework adding country character. Those beams mean some of the sleeping spaces have limited headroom, so are probably best for little ones. For a slice of local life, visit nearby Gargnano, which has lakeside cafes and restaurants aplenty – and more of those breathtaking views we love.

Above the Lake

Set in a traditional chalet-style building with a wooden roof and pretty wooden balcony in the Italian Alps, this charming home is ideal for an adventure-packed mountain escape. Decorated in neutral, earthy tones with minimalist but comfortable furniture, the inside of this home has a soothing feel. In the open-plan living-and-kitchen space, vanilla-coloured walls, a charcoal sofa and wooden table come together to make a welcoming space, and under-floor heating keeps things extra cosy. There are two neat, clutter-free bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom with gigantic walk-in shower. The chalet has a number of excellent shared amenities, including a games room – with a table tennis table and a table football table – a fitness room, a sauna, steam room and relaxation room, plus plenty of storage for bikes in the summer and skis in the winter. But the real draw here is the views. Out in the garden, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping, jaw-dropping views of the Alps. 

Alpine Meadow Flower

Just an hour's drive from Venice, this hilltop villa offers panoramic countryside views. While the traditional decor and antique furniture may not be to everyone's tastes, we think the interiors are charming in their own right. But with three floors and steep steps here, it will be difficult for guests who struggle with stairs. The top-floor main suite is one of our favourites – we can't resist the wooden ceilings or that stone bathtub – but the sun-kissed terrace and private pool are close seconds. Day trips are easy with Treviso and Padova within driving distance, but if you'd prefer to stay closer to home, Asolo is a twenty-minute walk away and has artisan shops and restaurants.

Hilltop Serenity

This Italian home offers the best of both worlds – you’re in a peaceful spot, yet only a fifteen-minute drive from the historic city of Padua. With huge windows overlooking the garden, and glass doors which open directly onto the terrace, indoors and outdoors are well connected here. Lazy days can be spent lounging by the private pool, or cooking up an alfresco feast on the outdoor grill. And when you’re ready for a day trip, the must-see city of Venice is only a twenty-five minute car ride away.
