Situated on the coast of Algarve, this modern home’s crowning jewel might be the lush green garden, outdoor seating, and the crystal-clear swimming pool, but indoors you’ll find plenty of diamonds, too. The vaulted ceilings of the living room, for one, is a feature that not only makes it feel more spacious, but, along with the natural light, it goes a long way in creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Take advantage of that by getting into your favourite position and passing the time with a good book and an aromatic tea. 

Also wedged between terracotta tiles and exposed rafters, you’ll find a generous bedroom that’s practically designed for afternoon naps. That’s the general feeling this home instils – to forget about time and simply do what moves you in the moment. If that happens to be a casual afternoon swim in the pool, then so be it. The lively resort town of Albufeira is a fifteen-minute drive away, while the region's capital, Faro, can be reached within forty minutes by car. 

This home impresses with its quintessential charm, bohemian interiors and palm-lined poolside. Inside, a warm colour palette and earthy textures create an inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place for entertaining, with a fully-fitted kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, HD television and pool table. With dreamy gardens, colourful interiors and a pretty and peaceful location on Portugal's sunny Algarve, this gorgeous holiday home will be an absolute dream to stay in from start to finish. It's based just a short drive from the beautiful beaches of Albufeira, as well as being within easy reach of some great restaurants and bars.

We fell in love with the outdoor areas the minute we saw them. The hammock makes the perfect place to get stuck into a good book, while the covered dining terrace is wonderful for sunset socialising with cocktails in hand. And that's all without mentioning that amazing outdoor private pool, where you can float on a lilo and top up your tan, or splash about to your heart's content.

Inside, the home is somehow even more striking. Colourful retro interiors give the home a wonderfully charming feel – the dining area looks like something from an Alice in Wonderland book, and is ideal for feasting on Piri-Piri chicken – and the vibrant lounge is fantastic for late-night drinks and party games. There's even a sauna here for when you need ultimate relaxation.

Situated in a resort along Albufeira’s golden coast, this villa will suit families looking to experience Algarve living. The minimal interior is functional but bright, with plenty of space to enjoy quiet moments and family time. While this is somewhat of a touristic location, you can unwind effortlessly within the privacy of this inviting villa – kids will love swimming in the pool while the terrace is primed for barbecued feasts. The coastline isn’t too far – with Praia da Ponta Pequena and Praia de São Rafael within walking distance. Though you’ll have local eateries at your fingertips, the centre of Albufeira is a short drive away, where you’ll find a more diverse array of restaurants. 

Beachy Brights

Just a short distance from the Galé area and only a five-minute walk from its sandy beaches, this home is an ideal base for those looking to explore the Algarve. With an outdoor living set-up like this, it's likely you'll want to spend as much time as possible by the private pool, sunbathing or dining at the covered alfresco dining and barbecue area. The kids will also be entertained at the outdoor games area with a snooker table and ping pong. It's worth noting here that at full capacity, two guests will be sleeping on non-permanent sleeping arrangements, including sofa beds in the communal areas. The villa is nearby to restaurants, supermarkets, and beaches of Lourenço and Galé.

This white-washed villa puts Albufeira at your fingertips. The marina is a short stroll away, golden beaches are a five-minute drive, and Old Town's restaurants, shops and cafes are twenty minutes on foot. Not a bad spot to call home. The garden is perfect for enjoying afternoon swims in the pool (which can be heated for a cost) as well as alfresco meals under the stars. Inside, the single beds can convert into doubles to suit your needs, and the lower-level games room has a sofa bed that can sleep the ninth and tenth guests for an additional fee.

Near the popular resort town of Albufeira and its sandy coastline, this traditional villa is perfect for a laid-back stay spent relaxing with friends and family. The natural stone facade, turrets and grand pillars make a bold first impression, but it's the outside space that's the real standout here. From your private pool and manicured garden to the brick-built barbecue for dining out on the shaded terrace, it's certainly not lacking in outside living areas. Plus, you've got a ping-pong table for the kids and a sunny rooftop balcony with far-reaching views. Location-wise, a short drive will take you to Praia do Castelo, while the charming village of Gale is nearby for evenings out.

Sitting in an elevated position above the stunning Vale de Parra, this home feels like a tropical oasis from the outside. The green gardens are scattered with tiki parasols and sun loungers, and also feature a gorgeous freeform pool. Swaying palm trees and colourful flowers add to this summer haven, all creating a blissful backdrop for days spent in the sun – and there's also a rooftop terrace for watching sunsets over the distant ocean views. Inside, you'll find the whitewashed walls and grand archways you'd expect from any Portuguese villa – it may seem a little old-fashioned, and the kitchen could do with an update – but we reckon it makes a wonderfully welcoming home-from-home for a laidback stay.

While the decor is a little dated and not to everyone’s taste, this single-level villa has authentic charm and is accessible to those with limited mobility. The large terrace and swimming pool lined with traditional thatched sun umbrellas certainly offer holiday vibes. And where better to enjoy an alfresco family meal cooked on the barbecue than under the shaded dining area? For those looking to explore the coastline, Castello and Evaristo beaches in Gale are both within walking distance – as are restaurants and shops.

A Casa Da Fazenda

Tucked away in the small town of Guia, just a fifteen-minute drive from Albufeira, this charming home is in an idyllic location for exploring the Algarve. Here, you're a short walk away from the soft sands of Praia da Galé, a tranquil gem boasting an enchanting landscape of rock formations, golden dunes and natural pools. Visit on balmy evenings for a front-row seat to glorious sunsets.

You'll find this home on a leafy street, nestled in a cluster of white, terracotta-tiled villas. Inside, rooms are cloaked in a colour palette of warm, earthy tones and adorned in Moroccan inspired decor. Painted a regal shade of blue, you'll love cooking in the fully-fitted kitchen. Brew your morning coffee here and sip it alfresco on one of the ample balconies. Indeed, this home impresses with its outdoor spaces. Spend leisurely days on the sun-drenched patio, or lounge in the shade under the riad inspired covered terrace. There's also a playground for the little ones and a quaint garden, fenced-off for absolute privacy. 

We love the private pool, a sparkling oasis bordered by lush palms and a rustic, cerulean-tiled barbecue grill. After a day of exploring, gather here for evening cookouts before retreating indoors for a friendly game of pool. On cooler nights, spend time curled up by the fireplace reminiscing on the day's adventures.

Situated in the suburbs of Albufeira, this villa is a family-friendly base from which to explore the Algarve. Praia da Coelha is within walking distance, and there’s a smattering of restaurants on the doorstep. In the garden, you’ll find a private pool for keeping cool in the warmer months and a dining terrace for meals alfresco. Interior design-wise, this isn’t the most eye-catching home in our collection, but there’s ample storage in the bedrooms, so you won’t need to pack light. 

Eucalyptus & Clove

This southern Portuguese home boasts a luscious garden and a private swimming pool as well as a covered alfresco dining area – perfect for taking advantage of the brick-built barbecue and Algarvian sunshine. While the interior aesthetics won’t appeal to everyone, this family-friendly home is both comfortable and functional, with three of the four bedrooms comprising twin beds. Location-wise, it’s also pretty handy – Praia da Galé is the nearest beach and there’s a good selection of local eateries within a short stroll.

Far from the crowded spots of Albufeira, the pace of life is slower here – which is just how we like it. Jump in the car to uncover Algarve's secluded coves, or you could stay put exactly where you are. Galé's five kilometers of glorious sands, backed by beachside bars and cafes, might be all you need.

Back at home, there's a more-is-more opulence about this characterful villa awash in sunny yellow. Friends or families holidaying together will love how spaced out and private the bedrooms feel, set across two floors and each one boasting their own en-suite.

But it's the outside space that's getting us really hot under the collar. Surrounding a glorious pool, you'll discover courtyard gardens that feel like your own riad oasis. The attention to detail is astonishing – with little vignettes of mosaics and lanterns everywhere you look and a sea of coloured floor cushions waiting for you to dive right in. 

And if you like what you see in the day, imagine how atmospheric this place feels at night as you fire up the barbecue in the outdoor kitchen. With the lanterns all aglow, it's a magical place to be.

Hubbly Bubbly

Simple yet comfortable, this villa ensures a stress-free stay for all of its guests. To the rear of the home, there’s a fenced swimming pool (ideal if you have the little ones in tow) and a covered terrace with a built-in barbecue for grilled lunches in the sunshine. While the interior isn’t the most inspiring, there’s enough space for the whole group to relax. Beach-wise, Praia do Castelo is around a fifteen-minute walk away and Praia do Galé’s three miles of golden sand is reached in a couple of minutes by car.

Sailing the Horizon

For us, this home is all about the location. The traditional style of its interiors may not tick everyone’s boxes, but it’s comfortable for eight guests with each bedroom boasting an en-suite. The outdoor space will delight sun-worshipers, with ample space to soak up some rays – the upper floor sea view balcony is a particular treat. For children and adults alike, the swimming pool and basement games room provide plenty of entertainment, while for days out, it’s just a hop, skip and jump to Galé beach, perfect for families and those who love a splash of watersports. 

Feeling Beachy

If you were to cross the sea in a straight line due south from this villa on the Algarve coast, you'd eventually reach Morocco and it's clear that this home's design has been influenced by its cross-continental neighbour.

Inside, this can be seen with the ogee-shaped light fittings and artwork, but it's the Berber-style tent area outside that captures the spirit of North Africa best. Here, it's possible to escape the hottest part of the afternoon on a comfy pouffe or to relax after dinner with a session on the shisha pipe.

Elsewhere outside, guests will find a long swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen and an alfresco dining table on the green-tiled terrace. There are even covered balconies leading off from some of the bedrooms where you can look out over the rooftops of nearby Galé.

There's no shortage of beaches in this corner of the world, with Praia dos Calvoeiros only six minutes' walk away. Albufeira and its Old Town take just over ten minutes to reach in the car, too.

Just a short drive from golden beaches and boasting gorgeous views, this Mediterranean-style home is minimal and cosy. The patio has space for alfresco dining, and the main bedroom has its own balcony with enough room to sit out on. All the bedrooms are upstairs, and the rooftop terrace has seating and is great for sharing drinks or doing morning yoga. You'll also have access to a communal resort-style pool and playground, making this home extra suitable for families travelling with little ones.

The Splendour of the Seas

Located in the quiet area of Gale, this villa is located just minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve. While there are plenty of restaurants and bars within a ten-minute walk, we highly recommend renting a car to go and explore the old town of Albufeira. This home has plenty of outdoor space, which is ideal if you’re travelling with little ones who need to blow off some steam. The lawned garden and private pool are the ideal spots to soak up the sunshine, while the barbecue and covered dining terrace are perfect for alfresco evenings.


Far Far Away

Located right at the heart of Albufeira, this villa is pretty impressive. The popular beaches of Castelo and Evaristo are within walking distance – as are plenty of shops and eateries – but this home has more going for it than just location. There’s heaps of room for a group, including a second lounge upstairs that would be ideal for kids to claim as their own – they’ll also have table tennis and a pool table to keep them entertained. Outside, the choice of covered terraces, quiet balconies, and poolside daybeds will appeal to those wanting a laid-back stay. 

Pretty in Portugal

In the centre of Vale de Parra, you’ll be in the thick of one of the Algarve’s most beloved areas. The atmosphere is more laid-back than other resorts on the Algarve coast, but you’ll still be within walking distance of some great restaurants, bars and shops. The villa has a garden enclosed within high walls, so you can enjoy privacy when using the pool and hot tub. Gale and Albufeira are just a 10-minute drive away if you fancy a little adventure.

A Quiet Corner

Close to the charming village of Guia and an array of stunning beaches, this gorgeous villa boasts a large private pool, a summer kitchen, and lovely gardens. The style throughout the house is bold and might not be to everyone's taste, but the separate annexe offers some extra privacy for up to four guests, giving everyone enough room to stretch their legs. We love the on-site equestrian facilities, available to use for an additional fee, and your host can arrange a plethora of other local tours and activities to make your stay truly special.

The Sun-Kissed Pearl

This gorgeous beach villa is guaranteed to leave you wanting more. Offering a private pool and an outdoor area perfect for the family, it's also a short distance away from a beach and a marina. After tucking into a delicious breakfast at the outdoor dining table, head inside to challenge your children to a fun game of table football. You can still enjoy the rays of sunlight indoors too, with a lovely view of the terrace. There's a TV in one of the bedrooms, making it perfect for a cosy night with your favourite movie.

If you get peckish, visit the charming town of Albufeira for a meal, or have a night in with a homecooked meal made with love. Jump into the pool for an evening swim, or connect with your family on the outdoor sofa with old memories.

The Long Stretch

Casa das Tilias is a stunning villa located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the popular resort of Gale. It has been completely renovated in 2019 to an impressive standard, with elegant design and luxurious furnishings throughout. The property features a fabulous 11m by 4m private pool, extensive poolside terrace, and private full-size enclosed tennis court. Upstairs, the villa's accommodation has an airy atmosphere with each bedroom individually styled and boasting bold, oversized headboards and opulent bed linen. All rooms have their own balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. On the ground floor is an open-plan lounge and dining room exuding style and sophistication. The owner has also provided Bluetooth speakers in the ceiling lights, a fully fitted kitchen with high gloss cabinetry, a plush sofa for relaxation, and a striking glass dining table to linger over meals.
