Nestled close to the historic town of Silves and Algarve's sandy beaches, this home captures every bit of sunshine in its expansive pool and lavish terraces. Avocado and citrus trees provide shade in the garden, for when you just need a bit of peace and quiet, but there are also plenty of activities around. Whether that’s the tennis court, table tennis and table football, or the bikes provided, you aren’t going to run short of things to keep you busy. We’d also recommend trying your hand at the barbecue – a converted bread oven – which adds to the rustic feel of the home.


Pastel De Nata

This home is perfectly positioned to explore the charming oceanside town of Carvoeiro and the broader Algarve region of sunny Portugal. With its child-friendly features, we think this is the perfect holiday home for a family or group of families, and the play area and basketball net will keep kids entertained while you enjoy the leisurely living this home offers. While the kids splash away in their very own pool, it’s easy to let your mind wander while you sip your favourite beverage poolside. 

Inside, the tiled floors speak to its Portuguese charm, and the sprawling outdoor terrace beckons you to feel the sun’s warmth on your skin. After you wake up in the comfy confines of your bed, take in the salty ocean air from the upper patio with a cold brew in hand. Adventure out to the centre of town for a glass of ginja in one of the many beachfront bars before you enjoy a sit-down meal in a local restaurant, serving up traditional delicacies. 


A Sunny Respite

Bursting with vibrant colour from the beautiful gardens surrounding this home, you’ll feel at ease as soon as you arrive. Our favourite spot was the outdoor space – it's the ideal place to relax for the duration of your stay. The private pool is the main attraction – just perfect for cooling down amidst the Portuguese heat. For those who could stretch out in the sun all day, the loungers allow you to do so – all you’ll need is a cool beverage in hand. As lunchtime rolls around, light the barbecue and indulge in a tasty snack on the wrap-around terrace, complete with countryside and sea views.

Inside, the home is full of traditional charm. In colder months, light the fire in the dining room for a cosy evening meal, tucking into a delicious home-cooked dinner as the fire casts a glow around the room. When you’re keen to explore, we’d recommend a trip to nearby Praia da Marinha beach – with glorious sunsets, it’s the most serene place to end the day.

Overlooking the white sands of highly sought after Praia Grande beach is this rustic and charming villa in a renovated former bee cottage. The villa broods harmony between raw nature, beautiful coastline, and easy living to match the charm of the Portuguese fishing village. The lush garden provides space for children to roam while the adults watch from plush sun loungers. As soon as you bore of the pool, just 600m away lies the stunning white beach. One of our favourite highlights was the private steps that led from the villa right out onto the sand, providing immediate beach access. Aside from time spent relaxing at the seaside-chic villa, the outside area of the town provides sailing boat rental, canoeing, and a bustling village square with local fare and fishermen showcasing the catch of the day.
