Relax and unwind with a stay at this cosy oceanside apartment situated in the picturesque village of Madalena do Mar. Perfect as a base for a small family or an intimate group of friends, this light-filled pad will welcome you warmly at the end of each day of island exploring. 

We love the open-plan living room, which invites you to kick back and enjoy an evening of TV and wine on the comfy sofa. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen here – get in touch with your inner chef and create some mouth-watering feasts, inspired by the island’s fresh produce. 

As the sun begins to set, there’s no better place to be than out on the balcony, a glass of something cool in hand. Later, head over to the snug bedrooms for a night of sweet dreams. 

Ocean Rays 

How about spending a vacation in a country house that is very close to the city and all tourist activities? While in the center people live a normal and fast city life, in the high zones, near the mountains, the calm and country atmosphere is a reality. In this small villa composed by three nice properties, you can enjoy all the calm and serenity with a wide view of the Atlantic Ocean and Funchal. This small 'farmhouse' has three stone-walled houses, each named after a tree on our island. The Cedro boasts a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with shower, and a fully equipped kitchenette. With its rustic charm and panoramic views, it offers maximum capacity for two people. Located in Santa Maria Maior, Madeira, this enchanting haven is nestled amidst lush gardens and offers tranquility while being just a short drive from restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and the city center.

Misty Mountain Lodge

This traditional stone farmhouse is full of character and provides an idyllic escape for anyone after a mix of thrilling adventure and pure relaxation. Set in the coastal hills outside of Funchal, you’re removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, free to simply roam the home’s verdant and blossoming garden, sunbathe on the patio’s lounge chairs, and dine alfresco on the covered veranda. On the other hand, if you’re after a bit more excitement, this location makes the perfect base for exploring the region’s stunning topography, which features breath-taking hikes through the mountains and walks along the precipitous coastline. However you choose to spend your days, you’ll find the warm interior with its vaulted timber ceilings and wood-burning stove makes for the perfect place to relax and recuperate.

Still, our favourite spot, without a shadow of a doubt, is the infinity swimming pool (preferably with a cold beverage in hand). Relish in the open air, with the manicured gardens, alfresco dining areas and secluded balcony corners for moments of reflection – all while pinching yourself that this is real. 

Inside, wonderful artwork selections and finishing touches create an atmospheric space dripping in antique Madeiran elegance. The home's central hub extends upwards with two-story ceilings and a large salon – perfect for hosting receptions or social affairs. Meanwhile, marble archways lead out to the wrap-around balcony, which frames the spectacular seascape like a painting on the wall. Each bedroom and bathroom suite provides guests with blissful privacy and the opportunity for moments of solitude when needed. 

Only two minutes from the beach, you'll be within convenient reach of many quality restaurants, bars and shops, alongside the city of Funchal's fabulous cultural hot spots and picturesque harbour.
