Take advantage of Madeira's year-round warm climate and relax on this modern apartment's balcony and roof terrace. There's a barbecue up here for a lunchtime feast, and we love the views over the city. Or cool off from the sun in the communal pool. There's a children's play area within this gated development too, so this place is perfect for families as well as friends. Inside the apartment, you'll find large sliding patio doors allowing plenty of natural light to flood in and a monochrome scheme.

The location is excellent, too – this home is located in one of the city's most prestigious areas, close to supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, bars, theatres and the Casino of Madeira. Adjacent to the casino, you'll find the pretty Santa Catarina Park, with its amazing views of the bay of Funchal. Walk into the heart of Funchal in around five minutes, while other attractions, such as the cathedral and marina, are within a ten-minute stroll, too. 


Roof of Madeira

Situated in the residential neighbourhood of Garajau, this home has wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the vistas with a glass of Madeira on the private balcony or from the modern living room. This place is ideal for friends or families as there’s a shared children’s play area, ideal for keeping the kids entertained.

The district has restaurants, shops and supermarkets, and there is a small trail for your morning walks right next to the Cristo-Rei monument. When you fancy a day at the beach, there’s one within a five-minute stroll from the apartment or explore nearby Funchal, a ten-minute drive away. There are plenty of attractions to see here, including Funchal Cathedral, the harbour, tropical gardens and Madeira wine cellars. Or art lovers can head to the São Tiago Fortress, which was built in the early 17th century and now houses the Contemporary Art Museum.


Ripples on the Ocean

Located in a quiet residential street in Garajau, this modern home has fabulous Atlantic Ocean views from its balcony. It's our favourite spot here, along with the pretty, private garden – relax with a glass of wine and totally unwind. You can enjoy the vistas from the living room, too, with its potted plants, giving this place a homely vibe. 

Funchal is around a ten-minute drive away if you prefer to go exploring. The capital of Madeira has a backdrop of beautiful hills, creating an atmospheric setting. The city is known for its harbour, Funchal Cathedral, tropical gardens and Madeira wine cellars. Other attractions include the São Tiago Fortress, which was built in the early 17th century and now houses the Contemporary Art Museum.



Atlantic Mist

Elevated in location as well as style, this grand holiday home is well-prepped to provide you with a wonderful place to make many fond memories with friends and family. Boasting a breathtaking location nestled up above the Atlantic Ocean, this home will make your jaw drop as soon as you arrive – the white Roman columns, intricate exposed stonework and the fantastic infinity pool make the outdoor space in particular feel like your own personal patch of paradise. Rest here with your morning coffee and watch the sunrise over the ocean in the distance – close your eyes, breathe in the ocean air and just be.

Inside the home is just as impressive – tall ceilings give it a sense of grandeur, unique artwork adorns the walls, and chic furniture invites you to rest and relax. There's a large lounge area for chilling out or playing party games together, and the contemporary kitchen gives you everything you need to cook up delicious breakfasts of Portuguese baked eggs to eat all together around the dining table.

Blue Hibiscus

You’ll find this practical yet homely apartment in the heart of Funchal, no more than 400 metres from cafes, bars, restaurants and the La Vie shopping centre. Visit the Sacred Art Museum and the Gothic-style Funchal Cathedral before finding a spot to picnic in the peaceful Santa Catarina Park. If a day at the beach sounds like a good idea, take the short drive to Praia Formosa and stretch out on the sand. 

Back at your abode, an open-plan living space invites you to kick off your shoes and make yourself comfortable. Rustle up something tasty at the fully-equipped kitchenette or fall back onto the sofa with a good book. Outside, there’s a large terrace for barbecues on balmy afternoons and glasses of traditional Poncha come nighttime. And when you’re ready to get some rest, the king-size bed guarantees a restful slumber.

Sun on My Mind

Enjoy exploring the charming city of Funchal from this stylish and simple apartment, based in the heart of the Lido tourist zone and within easy reach of all the best sights and spots. This apartment offers calming interiors, with a white colour scheme dappled with touches of turquoise, and has all the mod cons you need for a home-from-home stay. You’ll also have access to the shared roof terrace and communal outdoor pool so you can cool off with ease.

Spend sunny mornings enjoying coffee and churros on your balcony while you watch the city wake up around you. Head up to your roof terrace to sunbathe with a good book, or enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool while you take in the ocean views. The area is renowned for its lidos, so head out to discover others – or, take the short walk into the heart of Funchal to find classy restaurants and vibrant bars. Come back up to your apartment to cook up some peri-peri chicken and tuck in around your stylish breakfast bar. In the evenings, pop open a bottle of Cava to enjoy up on the roof terrace while you watch the sunset over the city.

With an array of local restaurants and cafes on your doorstep, you won't be short of choices when dinner time comes around, but if you fancy a quiet meal at home then the terrace is perfect for an alfresco affair with magnificent views. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to flex your culinary muscle, or pick up some takeout if you want to relax as soon as you get home. The balcony is definitely the jewel of this home, offering a quiet spot in the midst of the city to soak up the sunshine and sit back and enjoy a good book, or unwind for the evening with a glass of wine.

Land of Eternal Spring

Hidden away in a quiet residential area of Garajau lies this beautiful little apartment, surrounded by vibrant local flora and with everything you need to make the most of your Portuguese holiday. Sit out on the private balcony to enjoy your morning coffee and plan your day as you look out toward the glittering ocean, or get some last-minute work done at the dining table. With full access to the private garden, complete with a terrace and sun loungers, let the kids play on the grass as you catch some vitamin D on the sun loungers with a good book and a cold drink.

You'll find yourself in the coastal town of Caniço, within walking distance of the Cristo Rei statue on the coast. Spend a day shopping around Funchal, a short car ride away, or visit the cultural attractions, whether at the marina or in the city centre. For those wanting a fun-filled holiday without sacrificing the ability to go home and get some peace and quiet in the evening, this place is ideal.

It feels as though you could float away at this contemporary villa sitting right on the cliff edge in Garajau. You'll smell the salty air as soon as you arrive, with views of the Atlantic being this home's focal point. Inside, it's a chic space with plenty of room to enjoy each other's company. There's a brightness to the open living space, thanks to the sea reflecting on the cool white walls, and a fabulous double-height ceiling with two seating areas. Wall to wall glass opens the rear of the home to the outdoor terrace, allowing indoor and outdoor living to blend as seamlessly as the sea and the sky. Spend your days by the private pool or exploring the nearby area before heading home to rustle up a meal in the glossy, high spec kitchen and enjoy long, lazy meals as the sun goes down. 

Gleam Of The Sea

Nestled up above the gloriously blue Atlantic ocean sits this contemporary dwelling, providing a luxurious pad for you to return to after long and lovely days exploring Santa Cruz in Madeira.

We adore the outside space, with a large pool that overlooks the sea where you can have fun with loved ones – and there are plenty of poolside loungers where you can kick back with a good book in peace. There's also a covered dining area where you can eat alfresco, as well as outdoor lounge areas where you can relax with friends and watch the sky turn pink on summer evenings.

Inside, cool and modern interiors make the home feel fresh. The home is well-prepped to be the background for many happy memories with family and friends, with a large lounge area where you can enjoy party games in the evenings, and a dining area where you can share a toast to your wonderful getaway. 

Amber & Azure

Cue swoon-worthy panoramic views, cocktails on the terrace, and an all-around lavish experience at this waterfront villa inviting guests to enjoy Funchal in a truly luxurious setting. You'll be able to take in the crystalline ocean views from pretty much wherever you are in the home. Still, our favourite spot, without a shadow of a doubt, is the infinity swimming pool (preferably with a cold beverage in hand). Relish in the open air, with the manicured gardens, alfresco dining areas and secluded balcony corners for moments of reflection – all while pinching yourself that this is real. 

Inside, wonderful artwork selections and finishing touches create an atmospheric space dripping in antique Madeiran elegance. The home's central hub extends upwards with two-story ceilings and a large salon – perfect for hosting receptions or social affairs. Meanwhile, marble archways lead out to the wrap-around balcony, which frames the spectacular seascape like a painting on the wall. Each bedroom and bathroom suite provides guests with blissful privacy and the opportunity for moments of solitude when needed. 

Only two minutes from the beach, you'll be within convenient reach of many quality restaurants, bars and shops, alongside the city of Funchal's fabulous cultural hot spots and picturesque harbour.

Whip up a feast and take it to your terrace to dine alfresco, where the sea peeks at you from between the buildings and the Funchal-Monte cable car trundles by. With the salty scent of the ocean hanging in the air, you’ll soon be itching to feel the sand beneath your feet and the sea breeze in your hair. You're in luck – a short stroll (just a few minutes) and you’ll find yourself on São Tiago beach. Here, you can spend a lazy afternoon in the sea or on the sand with your holiday read, making memories that will last long after you’ve returned home.
