Abundant light floods in throughout the day, thanks to the large patio doors, while the green-coloured velvet sofa and wooden dining table make for a calm and comfortable space to unwind, eat and drink together. There's a sleek kitchenette that allows you to cook for your guests while keeping up with the conversation. Grab a glass of wine and perch against the balcony, admiring the rooftop views and spotting the city sights all around.

With beautiful Jardim de João Chagas and the striking Sé do Porto nearby, plenty of trendy eateries and lively wine bars right on your doorstep, and the Cais da Ribeira waterfront only an eight-minute stroll away, if your number one priority is a vibrant location, then look no further.

This unique studio apartment is tucked away in one of Porto’s most vibrant streets, Rua das Flores. It’s an excellent central base, within easy walking distance of Porto’s main attractions and lively squares. Inside the apartment, you’ll find a charming space ideal for two. It’s a studio but there’s still a decent amount of room, with a separate sitting area and a workspace. It’s sleek and modern, with everything you might need for a comfortable city break. 

Porto Prestige

Boasting incredible views over Porto’s rooftops and towards the Douro River, this beautifully bright apartment is an ideal base for those looking for a central, comfortable stay. 

Upon entering the open-plan living area, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the large windows and their beautiful city views. Snuggle up on one of the window seats with a glass of wine as you gaze out onto the lovely scenery or make yourself comfortable on the sofa with a good book. The dining table is ready to host intimate soirées against the windows’ backdrop while upstairs, the mezzanine bedroom provides a cosy canvas for a blissful night’s sleep. 

When you’re not enjoying the serene atmosphere of your fabulous apartment, go out and explore the many sights within easy walking distance. You’re just a four-minute walk from the banks of the Douro River with Cais da Ribeira a twelve-minute stroll away, while Porto Cathedral is ten minutes away on foot. 


I Dream of Douro

Bright and beautiful, this home’s warming wood details make it a unique place to base yourself in Porto. Honey-hued, the exposed beams add character and charm to the elegant modern space and recall this building’s 19th century past. The mezzanine split is well-executed, ensuring both floors benefit from the natural light, while the furniture creates plenty of opportunities to sit down, relax or work. We love the cosy reading chair for lazy afternoons and the large wooden dining table for meals shared at home. When it’s time to explore, you’ll be absolutely central, steps from the iconic Aliados Avenue. Walk two minutes to Trindade Church and three minutes from Mercado do Bolhão, an old traditional market. Plus, for connecting to other parts of the city, the Aliados metro station is just three minutes away. 

Aegean

We love the vistas over the River Douro and the Gaia district from this home’s Juliet balconies and bedroom windows. Whilst the apartment is housed in a building dating from the 18th century, it’s been completely renovated inside. One thing to note, though, at full capacity, two people will be on a sofa bed in the living space. Situated in one of Porto’s picturesque districts, Ribeira – this apartment boasts an enviable location too. You’ll find a maze of cobbled medieval alleys, cosy bars, and eateries serving traditional cuisine. Attractions nearby include the iconic D. Luís Bridge and the beautiful Bolsa Palace.

Imagine a River Flow

Situated in the charming Ribeiro neighbourhood, a three-minute walk from the neoclassical Palácio da Bolsa and within touching distance of old-school restaurants serving traditional Portuguese fare, this modern and bright apartment is a great base for exploring all that Porto has to offer.

We loved the light-filled living space, with its huge floor-to-ceiling windows and double-height ceilings. A dining table takes centre stage, encouraging lively breakfasts in the morning and hearty suppers in the evening. There’s also a cosy mezzanine level that is the perfect spot for reclining with a glass of wine before retreating to sumptuous bedrooms for an early night. 

Slip into the narrow cobbled streets and begin your sightseeing adventure. The 12th-century Porto Cathedral is six minutes from your doorstep and the Igreja dos Clérigos with its 75-metre-tall bell tower is reached in less than ten. When it’s time to call it a day, make a beeline for the Vitória viewpoint to watch dusk fall across the city.

Pools of Light

Nestled in downtown Porto, this home is perfect for those wanting to drop off their bags and head straight out to explore the city. As you’d expect with a studio, space is limited here but it’s comfortable for a couple or solo traveller. And while it’s not brimming with luxurious decor, you’ll find everything needed for a relaxing stay – and the location makes up for the fuss-free style. Situated on vibrant Rua das Flores, the city’s main squares and landmarks are mere steps away and for trips further afield, the São Bento metro is within easy reach. 

Porto's Flower Wonderland

Situated within walking distance of Porto’s must-visit sights, this apartment is the perfect base for a family or group of friends. Should you want to sample the city’s gastronomic scene, there is no shortage of restaurants on the doorstep. Inside the home, it’s simple yet well-appointed and quiet – thanks to the soundproof windows. Each bedroom is comfortable, and though the third does lack some homely touches, it’s still a pleasant enough space to get some shut-eye at the end of a busy day.

Timeless Porto

Situated in the heart of Downtown Porto, this apartment places you within easy walking distance of the city's top highlights. Visit the Church of Saint Ildefonso, sample local produce at the Mercado do Bolhão, or head to the Douro River for a boat trip. Inside, it's a smart, functional space for your group to spread out, and there's a sofa bed for a fifth guest. The kitchen is compact yet fully equipped for home-cooked dinners, while the enclosed balcony is a nice place to toast the day's end. Just note that you'll need to climb stairs to reach the entrance of this home. 

Porto Spice

To find a home this pretty and right in the beating heart of Porto, well, that’s special. But to bag a place with an all-too-rare outdoor terrace too? Then you’re onto a winner.

Inside, while this apartment is studio living, we think it’s expertly formed and feels surprisingly spacious. The designers knew what they were doing here, with earthy textures, warm wooden hues, and pops of botanical greens fusing beautifully.

Over in the made-for-action kitchen, there’s everything you could need to rustle up a bite to eat. And don’t get us started on the bedroom area with charming views over the terrace to the lofty palm trees and blue skies beyond.

Sunny mornings call for breakfast and freshly brewed coffees on the veranda as you hatch plans for the day ahead. And you won’t have far to go when it’s time to get out and about. 

Lose yourself in the city’s alley-woven historic heart brimming with boutiques, including the neo-Gothic, Livraria Lello (twelve minutes on foot) – the bookshop was a source of inspiration for the Harry Potter books, we hear. Grab a sunny spot for a bite to eat at one of the many Petiscarias (that’s Portuguese-style tapas bars to us). Then enjoy a post-lunch hazy walk along the banks of the Douro River (nineteen minutes on foot). Or hop on the Trindade metro station (a four-minute walk away) to discover further-flung corners of this opulent city.  

Super Naturals

Located right next to Jardim das Virtudes and near the iconic Clérigos Tower, this stylish studio apartment gives guests the convenience of being able to walk out to see Porto's attractions with ease. The perfect base from which to explore the city, the space features a small balcony with enough room to sit and enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Inside, ample sunlight flows through the studio during the day, and the cosy set-up and aesthetics of the living area allow for chilled-out evenings at home. While the draw of this place is having the choice, it's quite likely you'll want to discover the nearby local eateries and wine cellars when staying here.
