Whitewashed walls, navy window casings and a thatched roof are what you will glimpse upon first approaching the villa, with tonnes of outdoor seating space and gorgeous wooden decking surrounding the houses. Located in the stunning Carrasqueira area, right by the coast, this 5 bedroom property is not one to miss.

The Tree House Villa

Live the boho lifestyle in this charming villa, based close to Comporto beach and providing you with a serene resting spot for when you’re not out exploring. We adore the bohemian decor and characterful artwork, such as the coloured glass collection, woven fabrics and wicker furniture, which gives the home a warm and welcoming feel. You can spend sunny mornings out on your shaded terrace, with a large lounge area that makes for a great place for your morning coffee. You can cook up delicious chorizo scrambled eggs in your quaint kitchen area and tuck in alfresco at the shaded dining table. In the evenings, plant yourself in a deckchair with a glass of fizz, and watch the sunset over the fields in the distance.

This villa resides in a peaceful and rural spot in Comporta, an idyllic village that sits peacefully between rice fields and the ocean. You’ll be based just a stroll away from a 60km-long stretch of stunning beaches, and so ideally located for sea swimming, sunbathing, and spotting dolphins swimming off of the coast. It's easy to spend a whole day exploring the vibrant bars and fantastic restaurants that line the seafront.

Beachy Boho

Spread over three buildings, this Comporta home caught our attention with its large windows, soaking the interiors in plenty of sunlight. The three annexes mean you'll find plenty of room here, with bedrooms, living areas, and dining areas all being separate – perfect for groups who want to go at different paces. Outside, a terrace and sun loungers ensure you can take advantage of the lovely weather. And while there isn't a pool here, you might not notice – the beach is just a short stroll away.


Sun Of Atlantic

Located in Troia Atlantic Villas, near Comporta, the Regal Villa is absolutely stunning. Just moments from the Atlantic ocean, you and your guests can enjoy the delights of Comporta from this excellent property. Beach restaurants, cosy town tavernas, and the stunning ocean are all yours to revel in. The villa's only about an hour and a half from Lisbon too, so if anyone feels like some big city lights this can easily be arranged. The Regal Villa is breath-taking in its modernity. The outside of the villa is striking in itself, made of wood, bricks and primarily glass to create awesome views of the gorgeous Comporta countryside...

Comporta Paradise

With Carvalhal Beach just minutes away, we think extended families or friend groups will have a blast at this gorgeous villa. Made up of two buildings, outside you'll find a well-equipped terrace and a private heated pool, while the multiple living rooms and en-suite for every bedroom ensure that large groups will be comfortable even indoors. As well as the golden coastline, you'll find an array of upscale beachfront clubs and eateries easily reachable on foot. You'll probably want a car for getting up to Comporta or Grândola, but your host can help you rent bikes or an off-road buggy for exploring the immediate surroundings.

Your lovely host can also help arrange for a private chef to prepare a delicious Portuguese meal – inviting you to sit back and savour the beauty of this unique setting. And when you’re ready to retreat back inside, you’ll find the ensuite bedrooms set the tone for a restorative night’s sleep. 

When you’re inspired to explore beyond this private sanctuary, days can be spent embracing the waves on Praia dos Brejos beach, hiking through the surrounding countryside and discovering the natural beauty of the Alentejo region. 

Lotus Heart

We knew we liked this place the moment we set eyes on it – and with a stunning exterior like that, can you blame us? We love that there's a variety of spots to spend time at outside, from the alfresco dining space (wonderfully lit up at night) to the sunloungers by the pool – you'll never need an excuse to be out in the sun. Inside, the home's style doesn't waver, with the living room's high ceiling and the bedrooms' floor-to-ceiling windows being nice touches perfect for uncluttering minds. And while you may want to spend as much time as possible at home, you've eateries, golf courses, and historic fortresses all nearby here. 

Wild Flowers in Summertime

It's pretty clear what was at the top of the list for the architect that designed this intriguing home in Comporta – natural light and lots of it. Enormous walls of glass line the sides of the home and the dazzlingly white interior design only accentuates this plentiful natural asset. These huge windows also have the added benefit of looking out to peaceful views of local rice fields, too.

As you can probably begin to tell, it's a rather relaxing address. There are lots of spots in the tropical garden in which to appreciate the local tranquillity, whether on the back of a lounger or while dining alfresco on the table. Whenever the temperature takes a dip, you can head back inside and cosy up next to the contemporary fireplace in the lounge.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the locale, there are vast swathes of golden beaches covering the Portuguese coastline that start from as close as 1.5km away, while the nearest town is only 2km away for when you're in need of restaurants and shops.

Despite the rural surroundings, you’re just a few minutes drive from the picturesque town of Carvalhal. The sugary white sand beaches are just an eight-minute drive away too, where you can either watch the surfers or get on the waves yourself. There’s something special and nostalgic about exploring an area by cycling around – your host can provide you with a bike to discover the idyllic natural beauty of rice terraces, pristine beaches, and the forests of Comporta.

The property also offers outdoor dining tables, charcoal BBQs, sun loungers, portable BBQs, lounge areas, and an exterior shower.

When lunchtime rolls around, grill up a feast of local produce on the barbecue and gather around the pergola-covered bench-style dining table. 

Inside lends itself to any occasion, with the huge windows flooding the home with natural light and the scent of crisp pine hanging in the air. But in the evenings, the fireplace and warm-toned lighting make for wonderful cosy nights spent watching films. And with stylish yet comfortable bedrooms, all of which lead out to the garden, and super sleek bathrooms, the villa continues to impress.

When you want to get out and explore this beautiful slice of Portugal, you’re just 5km from the closest beach and its surfing spots, beachfront restaurants, and sugary white sand. The town is even closer, just 2km away, where you’ll find an array of restaurants and bars. But if you want to make the most of your villa but cooking is off the cards, your host can arrange for a private chef to take care of dinner for you.
