Sleek and modern, there’s so much to love about this home, but its finest feature has to be the in-bedroom hot tub – perfect for soaking the day away with a glass of wine as night falls. If the warming bubbles don’t tempt you, step out onto the terrace to enjoy your dinner poolside as the LED lights set the mood. With wonderful company, peace and quiet, and the warm evening air wrapping around you, you’ll feel utterly content.

During days at the villa, you’ll have plenty to entertain you – game of table football, anyone? If the cooling waters of the pool aren’t calling to you, snuggle down in the hanging egg chair with a good book and get lost in a story for a few hours. When it’s time to explore, the nearby coastal town of Kalkan is well worth a visit. Just a fifteen-minute drive away, you can soak up the laidback vibe on the pebble beach or test out the local cuisine at one of the many rooftop restaurants as you drink in the sea views. 

Magic on the Mountainside

Situated in Antalya with its yacht-filled marina, Roman sites such as Hadrian's Gate, museums and a popular aquarium, this home has a fantastic location. If you prefer to relax on the city’s warm sands, then Mermerli Beach, located next to the old port of Antalya, is around 1 kilometre away. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby too.

Back at this apartment, relax on the comfy, grey corner sofa after all that sightseeing. The neutral décor is enlivened with prints and electric blue stripes on the ceiling. If you don’t feel like eating out, rustle up some mercimek corbasi (lentil soup) in the modern kitchen. This place is the perfect bolthole for a solo traveller, couple or business professional.


The Blue Stripes

Boasting a beautiful outdoor space overlooking the crystal Kalkan waters, Villa Tashla welcomes groups of up to 6. Step into the cosy living space with stunning raw stone walls giving a traditional atmosphere. Furnished and decorated throughout with comfortable Ottoman-style pieces, this villa is full of character. In the lounge, you'll find comfy seating in an air-conditioned room surrounding a flatscreen TV, with patio doors leading to the pool terrace. Continue through the open-plan living space to the vibrant red and wood kitchen fully-fitted with modern appliances and further patio doors leading to the terrace. Head upstairs to find the bedrooms, on the first floor are two double beds with air conditioning and storage options as well as homely touches. One of the double rooms has an en-suite shower room whilst the other has a shower room directly next door. The spiral staircase brings you to the second floor with a large double room with balcony access and an en-suite bathroom. Outdoors on the pool terrace, a lovely grass-roof pergola covers an outdoor dining area ideal for dining alfresco. Enjoy a meal with sea-view cooked on your barbeque or relax with an ice cold drink in comfortable seating taking shade under the umbrella. Sun loungers surround the pool and Roman-style steps with a handrail allow easy access for all. Ideally located within walking distance of all local amenities and the beach.

Turquoise Oasis

With the feel of an authentic Antalya shepherd’s hut, but with a luxurious make-over, Shepherd's Rest sets the scene for a couple’s retreat. The interior has floor-to-ceiling glass doors on two sides of the room, one side opens onto the garden and outside pool terrace, while the other opens onto the inside pool. The bedroom features an enormous round bed and floor-to-ceiling glass doors on two sides of the room. Islamlar village offers breathtaking panoramic views from every aspect and provides visitors with a genuine taste of rural Turkish village life. Kalkan town is just 15 minutes down the road, offering excellent choices of elegant roof-terraced restaurants.

The Myrtle Shade

Situated high above the hills in Kalkan, this single-storey villa boasts a private pool and some truly spectacular views over the sea and surrounding landscape. The colourful and quirky decor may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the main bedroom enjoys an in-ground Jacuzzi, positioned perfectly for the views. For families, your host can provide free equipment for little ones like a cot and high chair. There's space to park on the large driveway, and we highly recommend hiring a car for easy day trips to the nearest beaches and into Kalkan.

With Üzümlü just a stroll away, you'll also have plenty of dining options nearby. Seeing as the lively town of Kalkan is just a fifteen-minute drive away, we’d recommend renting a car if you’re keen to explore.

Explore the beautiful Düden Waterfalls when you stay at this apartment in Antalya. Or head to the nearby Mall of Antalya for some retail therapy. This lovely city has a yacht-filled marina, Roman sites such as Hadrian's Gate, museums and a popular aquarium to explore too.

Later, rustle up some koftas or mücver (courgette fritters) in the modern kitchen and enjoy the fruits of your labour at the dining table. When one pool just isn’t enough, why not plump for two? Indoors or outdoors? This Kayaköy hideaway is the most surprising slice of cutting-edge architecture and interiors verve, set in an ancient spot that time (almost) forgot. You will truly kick back because the surroundings demand it – that graceful hammock isn’t there just to look pretty. Without trying too hard, this contemporary take on traditional Turkish communal living just gets it right. We love that indoor-outdoor fusion, like a modern-day Orangerie, no less elegant, but all geared up for the mod-cons. Surrounded by rural shrublands and local village life, you will enjoy the secret smile of one who has chanced upon a hidden gem.

Levissi Charade

Modern and minimal elements come into play in this fresh-feeling apartment. Situated in the sea-grazing neighbourhood of Muratpaşa, this minimalist apartment is within a twenty-minute walk of the Turquoise Coast and the old town, Kaleiçi.  This home provides an idyllic base for a solo traveller or a couple seeking a sleek haven right in the cultural centre of Antalya.

The light-filled space is compact, yet has been designed in a way that makes the interior feel big, bright and sociable. Wake up peacefully, the sun pouring in, before sliding open the doors to the charming streets below. Sip your coffee at the wooden table and make plans for the day. When evening rolls around, the plush velvet sofa is an idyllic spot to lounge out on, a cold glass of raki in hand.

What’s a trip to the Turquoise Coast without spending it at the beach? Head to Mermerli Plajı, down the rock staircase, and you’ll find pristine blue waters – it’s bliss. After catching some rays, settle into one of the beach-grazing tavernas for an array of local dishes and seafood, or spend the afternoon out on the open waters – you can charter a boat off the beach.

Turquoise Coast

There are some homes that exude character, ones that you can tell hold a lot of stories. This idyllic home is one of them. Here, you’ll find a traditional brick village house that’s been lovingly restored while retaining its original charm, surrounded by vast fields and the majestic Taurus mountains. So, if you love homes with character, you’ll fall head over heels for this one. 

Located in the quiet, tiny village of Kınalı, you’re a far cry from daily life. It’s a time machine back to the days of Turkey gone by, with old artefacts, Ottoman touches, a gorgeous rustic dining table, and a traditional Turkish barbecue. But that isn’t to say this home isn’t comfortable for the modern person, we don’t think you’d find a well-equipped kitchen or a plunge pool for cooling off from the heat way back when. In Turkey, life is lived in the outdoors. Spend your days sunning by the pool in the secluded garden of native foliage, playing backgammon around the bistro table, and tucking into barbecue dinners washed down with an Efes. On cooler days, you might want to explore the nearby hiking trails in the mountains or explore the fascinating abandoned village of Kayaköy, a ghost town of old stone cottages. 

This is a beautiful, transportive place for a small family or couple to switch off. But if you want to discover more of Turkey, you’re a short drive from the popular tourist town of Hisarönü and if you venture just a bit further you’ll reach Fethiye. Explore the area’s gorgeous, pristine beaches, swim in the crystalline waters, and spend evenings in waterfront restaurants and lively bars. Or, spend cosy evenings under the wooden pergola, cooking up fresh barbecue dinners, and chatting away. The colourful garden is beautiful enough, but take the steps up to your flat top roof for wildly stunning sunset views, overlooking the Babadağ mountain.
