This modern home in central Scottsdale is a resort-like base for those looking to make the most of all that the region has to offer. Spend lazy mornings around the pool and in the gardens practising your put while you plan the day's golfing adventure. If you're not one for the course, choose a spa experience in the area to indulge in. By the day’s end, the pool bums, desert hikers, kayakers, and golfers alike will gather back on the patio for a BBQ and a round of pool in the billiards room. If the desert chill sets in, congregate around the open fire in the living room; its reclaimed wood backdrop adding a shade of boho-chic. Sleep sound in sumptuous beds, and whoever gets the master suite can pack the walk-in wardrobe with all the gear necessary for hiking, golfing and hitting to town. 

The Gecko's Song

Just outside of Phoenix, you'll find this fun-filled home that demands you spend at least some time at the homestead. We love the outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying southwestern-style barbecues. Combine this with the game room (complete with bar), swimming pool and golf putting area, and you may be spending less time exploring the local area than you imagined. You won't be disappointed when you do decide to go out, though, with numerous nearby parks ideal for a desert trek.

All Play

You guessed it – this charming mid-century-inspired home used to be an architectural studio and was lovingly renovated by your hosts to create an immaculate space for a single traveller, cosy couple or a small family. With its own entrance, charming patio and private pool, you won't even notice that your hosts are right next door. Although if you need them, they'll be delighted to give you local tips and help you out in any way. Nestled in-between Phoenix and Scottsdale, you’re just ten minutes from Old Town Scottsdale with its vibrant nightlife and excellent restaurant choices, as well as Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens. Less than fifteen minutes in the opposite direction and you’ll find yourself in the excitement of downtown Phoenix. Whatever way you go, there's plenty to see and do.

The Architect Studio

Contemporary and cool, this townhouse is a superior Scottsdale base. It’s a chic home spread across four floors – so you’ll need to be able to climb stairs to stay here – with a glorious rooftop terrace at its pinnacle. Mountain views and sunshine await on the terrace, while inside, you can look forward to a comfortable and stylish living and dining space, a well-equipped kitchen, and three attractive bedrooms. One bedroom is set up with a sofa bed and boasts a kitchenette, perfect for a couple seeking more privacy. The home is close to restaurants, bars, and shops. It comes with passes for a nearby resort, where you can swim and work out, and there are golf courses close by, too. 

Southwest Modernity

There's plenty of fun to be had at this home in Scottsdale. Packed with activities like a heated pool, hot tub, and putting green, you'll never have a dull moment here. The interiors are bright, breezy and contemporary, while the garden is the definition of sun-kissed. Don't want to miss a workout? The main bedroom has a Peloton bike, and outside, you'll find yoga mats ideal for morning asana. Or you can spend the afternoon playing foosball, ping-pong, and Pacman in the two different game rooms –  just note that the one in the garage doesn't have air conditioning. Last but not least, the location is ideal for exploring, though you'll definitely need a car.

Desert Thrills

Minutes from downtown Old Town, the Entertainment District, a choice of ten golf courses and multiple hiking options up and around Camelback Mountain, this newly renovated home is excellently located in the Old Town district of Scottsdale. Though it looks fairly simple from the exterior, this home has been recently renovated and the open-plan kitchen and living space feels fresh, modern and comfortable. The master bedroom is particularly enviable - we loved the love seat next to the bed - but guests should note that one of the bedrooms doubles as a children-oriented games room.

Desert Pool

You’ll find this little oasis in one of Scottsdale’s best areas. Whether you’re up for lazing by the swimming pool or shooting hoops in the Arizona sunshine, this place has got you covered. There’s a roomy backyard, planted desert-style with cacti and palms. Inside, the airy rooms, houseplants and modern art all reflect the state's natural beauty too. Spend those warm summer nights sharing stories around the fire pit as the sun goes down, while the games room, complete with a dartboard and pool table, provides endless entertainment when the temperature drops. If you decide to head out, you'll find plenty of attractions on your doorstep, with Kierland Commons and a TPC Golf Course just five minutes away.

Moon Cactus

Want all the amenities of a resort without having to share your space with any other holidaymakers? You’re in luck – this Scottsdale home is pretty much your own private hotel, with a pool, outdoor dining area, grill section, and even a putting green for family mini-golf tournaments. Soak up the sun in the backyard, popping inside every now and then to refill your drink from the bar cart or raid the kitchen for snacks. If the heat of the day gets too much, you can always head into one of the four luxurious bedrooms for an afternoon siesta, or cool down in front of your favourite show in the stylish living room. The desert climate is irresistible, so you’d be forgiven for wanting to spend most of your time in the yard, lounging around the pool, kicking back by the fire pit, and practicing your stroke on the putting green.  Situated on a quiet street not far from what’s considered “the South Beach of the desert,” all the shopping and night’s entertainment is just a walk from your front door. If you have some golfers in the mix, TPC Scottsdale is just a fifteen minute drive from the home. Back home in the evenings, gather and chat around the crackling fire.

Located in Apple Valley, Utah, this home is centrally located for adventures to Zion National Park, Sand Hollow, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and more. It is on grid with wi-fi, fridge, microwave, bathroom/shower, fireplace, heating/air, Roku TV, games, patio seating/firepit, and multiple windows/skylights for beautiful views. Come check it out!

Zion Bliss

This spectacular home is a bit like having a private resort all to yourself. The luxury villa has a 50 foot long swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees and sun loungers – with the added bonus that you get to pick who you're sharing it with. You'll also find a jacuzzi, big enough to fit 12 people, and a fire pit, for chillier desert nights. Inside is just as special, with a beautiful nature-inspired colour palette and plenty of chic details – think rustic wood furnishings, statement artworks and cosy throws for wrapping around yourself. In the bedrooms, there's crisp linen, driftwood sculptures and even workspaces for catching up on emails.
