The designer, who has worked with none other than Jay-Z and Beyoncé, has filled this home with enough unique details to impress even the most discerning superstar. The high ceilings and monochrome colour scheme in the living area work perfectly with the minimalist furniture and statement lighting, while a gorgeous spiral staircase brings you to the upper level. The bedrooms are inspired by the works of Mark Rothko – simple yet elegant with blocks of bold colour. Outside, you'll find a private swimming pool which can be chilled to provide a refreshing dip during the hot Arizona days. Scottsdale Fashion Square and Old Town Scottsdale are just a few minutes drive away, but if you fancy nothing more than topping up your tan on a sun lounger, then this is just the place to do it – those mountain views are second to none.

Although there is no pool to cool off from the hot desert sun, this backyard has been designed to maximise on Scottsdale’s incredible nights. Just a short walk to Scottsdale’s Old town and Fashion mall, as well as the Entertainment district, it has everything at your fingertips - but there’s plenty to keep you occupied at home too. Behind its immaculate lawn and large outdoor entertaining area, this elegant private estate complete with a guest house has large, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that seamlessly connect interior and exterior spaces, leaving you with every urge to take a dip in the private resort pool. In terms of our favourite spot inside, it's a tough call between the media room with your very own pool table or the library/wine room, but ask us in the morning and we might wax lyrical about the amazing master suite which offers one of the best views in the house.

There are plenty of places to hang out with your loved ones, from the cool and crisp living room to the back yard where you can roast marshmallows by the fire pit. The interior design is effortlessly cool with a touch of desert luxury, and we particularly liked the well-equipped kitchen with a chic little breakfast bar. After a morning coffee, culture vultures can head to Scottsdale Arts District, while hikers can take a drive to the trails of McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Reconvene at one of Arcadia's cafés or restaurants to share stories about your adventures, before heading home to mix some drinks in the cocktail shaker and settle in for a movie night.

In fact, the problem may rest more with if you'll have enough time to try out all of the amenities on offer. Whether it's relaxing by the waterfall pool (with a water slide), unwinding in the jacuzzi or playing a game of tennis, foosball, ping pong, pickleball, basketball or mini-golf – you'll find something to enjoy before having even stepped foot inside. When you can tear yourself away from the glorious sunshine outside, prepare to be impressed by the impeccable soothing interiors which invite guests to relax in style through neutral colours and natural materials. Looking for a fun-packed family escape? This recently remodelled and colourful mid-century-inspired home is as good as it gets. It’s a five-minute walk to Old Town Scottsdale, where you'll have access to world-famous restaurants, shopping, art galleries and more. After exploring, come back to the spacious garden and kick off some games – why not shoot some hoops in the heated pool or challenge the group to a mini-golf championship? The winners can bask in the sunshine while the losing team fires up the barbecue. Rain stopping play? The high-spec kitchen has everything you need for a Michelin-star-level dinner, and we particularly love the mini wine fridge. But if cooking is absolutely not on the cards (well, you are on holiday), your host can arrange for a private chef and a butler, among many other five-star services that will turn your holiday into a completely hands-off affair.

You guessed it – this charming mid-century-inspired home used to be an architectural studio and was lovingly renovated by your hosts to create an immaculate space for a single traveller, cosy couple or a small family. With its own entrance, charming patio and private pool, you won't even notice that your hosts are right next door. Although if you need them, they'll be delighted to give you local tips and help you out in any way. Nestled in-between Phoenix and Scottsdale, you’re just ten minutes from Old Town Scottsdale with its vibrant nightlife and excellent restaurant choices, as well as Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens. Less than fifteen minutes in the opposite direction and you’ll find yourself in the excitement of downtown Phoenix. Whatever way you go, there's plenty to see and do.

We came to the conclusion that this Phoenix home has a very different interior and exterior. Behind the front door, guests will be greeted with a space that has a distinct boho edge — think macramé decorations, a plethora of house plants and a penchant for tan leather. It's all very calming. However, the home's outside space is geared towards entertainment, rather than relaxation. Just outside the glass doors, a bar area sits underneath the covered terrace and beyond this, there's an invitingly blue swimming pool. As if that wasn't enough, there's also a children's play area and a putting green on which budding golfers can practise. Nearby, you can drive to both Scottsdale and Phoenix in around twenty minutes. Frank Lloyd Wright's impressive winter home, Taliesin West, is a similar distance away, too.

Oozing chic and endlessly cool interiors, Hitched is a fabulous home in the middle of Scottsdale. The three beautifully curated bedrooms welcome six guests, making it a great choice for a few friends or a family with kids. Recently remodelled, the appliances and finishes are all high-end here, so whether you want to treat yourself to a steam shower or simply cool off in the impeccable pool, there are wonderful opportunities to do so. Located just two miles from Old Town Scottsdale’s wonderful restaurants, boutique shops and exciting nightlife, staying at Hitched means getting plenty of relaxation and seclusion, while still being close to all the action.

Scottsdale is a great place to escape to if you want to live it up. Filled with golf resorts, luxurious spas, and gorgeous homes like Pickle Ball, it's the kind of place that will help you kick back and switch into relaxation mode. This home has is centred around the open-plan kitchen, which is fit for a true chef and has everything you need to whip up the kinds of meals you never have time for at home. Enjoy the fruits of your labour alfresco, then lounge around the private pool that's perfect for splashing around in the heat. In the back garden, an alfresco patio awaits for those who like grilling, while the rest can enjoy drink or relax in the hammock. The weather is usually nice all year-round, but this shouldn't stop you from chilling indoors where you'll be surrounded by designer furniture and green views. In the evenings, get everyone together for a movie night in the luxurious living room and then retreat to the quiet bedrooms for a good night's sleep.

Just outside of Phoenix, you'll find this fun-filled home that demands you spend at least some time at the homestead. We love the outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying southwestern-style barbecues. Combine this with the game room (complete with bar), swimming pool and golf putting area, and you may be spending less time exploring the local area than you imagined. You won't be disappointed when you do decide to go out, though, with numerous nearby parks ideal for a desert trek.

The fun never ends in this home that was built for active leisure. From the designated game room with foosball, billiards and a huge TV, to the giant outdoor Jenga, there's always an excuse to get everyone together and spend some fun time competing. Of course, there's also a beautiful pool – heated at no additional cost – and if you're too busy chilling out to cook or shop, you can book a variety of services that will turn this retreat into a truly hands-off experience. All five bedrooms are spacious, bright and welcoming, making sure you'll get enough rest to wake up ready to explore the nearby hiking trails, which are only a five-minute drive away. This home has a certain Southern flair and features a gorgeous cactus mural that creates a playful atmosphere. It's unlikely you'll be rushing to get out of this entertainment-packed home, but if you want to eat out, there are plenty of restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale that are worth a visit.

With everything so close by, you can practically roll out of bed and into the heart of Scottsdale – shopping nirvana at Fashion Square and Kierland Commons, downtown Old Town and the Tournament Players Club, home of the Phoenix Open golfing tournament. The glorious green swathe of Chaparral Park, with its eponymous lake, is also within a few minutes’ walk. Fix yourself a strong espresso in the well-equipped kitchen before heading out to explore, or hang around the house for a day of poolside lounging and yard games. Should the weather turn – unlikely, as this is Arizona – there’s also a smart TV to stream anything you want.

Minutes from downtown Old Town, the Entertainment District, a choice of ten golf courses and multiple hiking options up and around Camelback Mountain, this newly renovated home is excellently located in the Old Town district of Scottsdale. Though it looks fairly simple from the exterior, this home has been recently renovated and the open-plan kitchen and living space feels fresh, modern and comfortable. The master bedroom is particularly enviable - we loved the love seat next to the bed - but guests should note that one of the bedrooms doubles as a children-oriented games room.

Enjoy a relaxing stay in Arizona at this modern home in Scottsdale. Chill out on the outdoor sofas, lie back on a sun lounger, or sit chatting around the fire pit. Alternatively, for a more active day, go for a swim in the pool, play a game of pool and cook up a feast on the barbecue. The home is not far from Scottsdale’s famous entertainment offerings, and you can even start the party early with a drink at the indoor-outdoor bar. Camelback Mountain, world-class golf courses, hiking and biking trails are all nearby, as well as Old Town Scottsdale, where you’ll find restaurants, bars and shopping malls.

The outdoor space is where it really shines – cool off in the glistening pool or float around on an inflatable while you soak up the scorching Scottsdale sun. When you're feeling peckish, fire up the grill for an alfresco feast. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the close proximity to a number of courses, while nearby Camelback Mountain invites you to take on a challenging hike to admire the panoramic city views.

The open-plan living room is elegant space, with a large flat-screen TV and L-shaped sofa big enough for small army of popcorn munching movie-watchers. The bedrooms are all individually designed, and we particularly love the children's room with its comfy bunk beds, blue-and-white teepee and pastel-coloured bean bags. Out in the garden there's a good-sized turquoise pool, plenty of games equipment (including small, moveable football goals for pool footie), a roaring fire pit and wicker hanging egg chairs. And if you can tear yourself away, this home is in the heart of Scottsdale, and the bars, restaurants, shops plus Scottsdale baseball stadium are all a short drive away.

Choose Happiness is a luxurious central Scottsdale affair, complete with anything you need for a happy and relaxed time away. Before we get carried away with the features, it's important to mention that you'll have a plethora of sights and restaurants available within walking distance, but then, you've seen the kitchen, haven't you? The pictures barely do this home justice. When the team that designed this home decided on a mostly natural-tone look, they did so to highlight the high-end minimalist features like the fire pit and the sleek dining area. Arizona being the Copper State, there's a nod to this in the shape of a copper sink in the kitchen, which testifies to the great attention to detail. But let's not forget the more obvious star elements here – a heated pool, an abundance of outdoor seating to hang out, the concierge team at your disposal to book a variety of services, and a private office space for those who can't get completely away from it all.
