Minutes from downtown Old Town, the Entertainment District, a choice of ten golf courses and multiple hiking options up and around Camelback Mountain, this newly renovated home is excellently located in the Old Town district of Scottsdale. Though it looks fairly simple from the exterior, this home has been recently renovated and the open-plan kitchen and living space feels fresh, modern and comfortable. The master bedroom is particularly enviable - we loved the love seat next to the bed - but guests should note that one of the bedrooms doubles as a children-oriented games room.

Enjoy a relaxing stay in Arizona at this modern home in Scottsdale. Chill out on the outdoor sofas, lie back on a sun lounger, or sit chatting around the fire pit. Before we get carried away with the features, it's important to mention that you'll have a plethora of sights and restaurants available within walking distance, but then, you've seen the kitchen, haven't you? The pictures barely do this home justice. When the team that designed this home decided on a mostly natural-tone look, they did so to highlight the high-end minimalist features like the fire pit and the sleek dining area. Arizona being the Copper State, there's a nod to this in the shape of a copper sink in the kitchen, which testifies to the great attention to detail. But let's not forget the more obvious star elements here – a heated pool, an abundance of outdoor seating to hang out, the concierge team at your disposal to book a variety of services, and a private office space for those who can't get completely away from it all.

Reconvene at one of Arcadia's cafés or restaurants to share stories about your adventures, before heading home to mix some drinks in the cocktail shaker and settle in for a movie night.

Looking for the ultimate getaway for a large family? This fabulous home in sunny Scottsdale has something to impress everyone - even the impossible to please. First up there's the kitchen. It has all the high-spec equipment you need to create a banquet, plus room for a head-chef, sous-chef and diligent vegetable peeler/washer-upper without squabbles breaking out. The open-plan living room is elegant space, with a large flat-screen TV and L-shaped sofa big enough for small army of popcorn munching movie-watchers. The bedrooms are all individually designed, and we particularly love the children's room with its comfy bunk beds, blue-and-white teepee and pastel-coloured bean bags. Out in the garden there's a good-sized turquoise pool, plenty of games equipment (including small, moveable football goals for pool footie), a roaring fire pit and wicker hanging egg chairs. And if you can tear yourself away, this home is in the heart of Scottsdale, and the bars, restaurants, shops plus Scottsdale baseball stadium are all a short drive away.

Scottsdale is a great place to escape to if you want to live it up. Filled with golf resorts, luxurious spas, and gorgeous homes like Pickle Ball, it's the kind of place that will help you kick back and switch into relaxation mode. This home has is centred around the open-plan kitchen, which is fit for a true chef and has everything you need to whip up the kinds of meals you never have time for at home. Enjoy the fruits of your labour alfresco, then lounge around the private pool that's perfect for splashing around in the heat. In the back garden, an alfresco patio awaits for those who like grilling, while the rest can enjoy drink or relax in the hammock. The weather is usually nice all year-round, but this shouldn't stop you from chilling indoors where you'll be surrounded by designer furniture and green views. You guessed it – this charming mid-century-inspired home used to be an architectural studio and was lovingly renovated by your hosts to create an immaculate space for a single traveller, cosy couple or a small family. With its own entrance, charming patio and private pool, you won't even notice that your hosts are right next door. Although if you need them, they'll be delighted to give you local tips and help you out in any way. Nestled in-between Phoenix and Scottsdale, you’re just ten minutes from Old Town Scottsdale with its vibrant nightlife and excellent restaurant choices, as well as Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens. Less than fifteen minutes in the opposite direction and you’ll find yourself in the excitement of downtown Phoenix. Whatever way you go, there's plenty to see and do.

The fun never ends in this home that was built for active leisure. From the designated game room with foosball, billiards and a huge TV, to the giant outdoor Jenga, there's always an excuse to get everyone together and spend some fun time competing. Of course, there's also a beautiful pool – heated at no additional cost – and if you're too busy chilling out to cook or shop, you can book a variety of services that will turn this retreat into a truly hands-off experience. All five bedrooms are spacious, bright and welcoming, making sure you'll get enough rest to wake up ready to explore the nearby hiking trails, which are only a five-minute drive away. This home has a certain Southern flair and features a gorgeous cactus mural that creates a playful atmosphere. It's unlikely you'll be rushing to get out of this entertainment-packed home, but if you want to eat out, there are plenty of restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale that are worth a visit.

If you can bear to leave the sunny garden and stylish interiors, there’s plenty to discover in the local area – you’re within moments of hiking hotspots, world-class golf course, and the dining, bars and boutiques of the Old Town.

Pocono Mansion is the best of both worlds. Just a short walk to Scottsdale’s Old town and Fashion mall, as well as the Entertainment district, it has everything at your fingertips - but there’s plenty to keep you occupied at home too. Behind its immaculate lawn and large outdoor entertaining area, this elegant private estate complete with a guest house has large, floor-to-ceiling glass doors that seamlessly connect interior and exterior spaces, leaving you with every urge to take a dip in the private resort pool. In terms of our favourite spot inside, it's a tough call between the media room with your very own pool table or the library/wine room, but ask us in the morning and we might wax lyrical about the amazing master suite which offers one of the best views in the house.

Want all the amenities of a resort without having to share your space with any other holidaymakers? You’re in luck – this Scottsdale home is pretty much your own private hotel, with a pool, outdoor dining area, grill section, and even a putting green for family mini-golf tournaments. Soak up the sun in the backyard, popping inside every now and then to refill your drink from the bar cart or raid the kitchen for snacks. If the heat of the day gets too much, you can always head into one of the four luxurious bedrooms for an afternoon siesta, or cool down in front of your favourite show in the stylish living room. As evening falls, enjoy a float in the pool while waiting for the barbecue to heat up or gather around the massive table to plan tomorrow’s adventures. You’re within a ten minute drive of many of Scottsdale’s shopping, dining and entertainment centres, so there’s plenty to do without straying far – after all, it’s going to be difficult to tear yourself away from this home.

Visit the chic Arts District and Old Town Scottsdale, before coming home to chill out in the mid-century style living area or get competitive with a game of table football.

Bright, open desert living beckons you at this family home in the centre of Scottsdale’s Old Town. The desert climate is irresistible, so you’d be forgiven for wanting to spend most of your time in the yard, lounging around the pool, kicking back by the fire pit, and practicing your stroke on the putting green.  Situated on a quiet street not far from what’s considered “the South Beach of the desert,” all the shopping and night’s entertainment is just a walk from your front door. If you have some golfers in the mix, TPC Scottsdale is just a fifteen minute drive from the home. Back home in the evenings, gather and chat around the crackling fire.

Located in South Scottsdale, Star World sits just minutes from the Old Town, where some of the area’s best bars, restaurants and shops await your visit. You’re also only a short drive from numerous golf courses, casinos, top golf and Spring training games. But more importantly, Star World is a beautiful home and the perfect getaway for up to ten guests. Inside, the wonderfully remodelled home boasts open-plan living areas, seven large-screen TVs, and a game room. But that’s not all. Outside, you’ll find a large swimming pool, jacuzzi, barbecue, several outdoor games, including corn hole, and of course, an outdoor TV. If it were up to us, we’d move right in.

This corner of the USA is famed for its resorts, but you’ll have a private one of your very own at this Scottsdale home. Part of a friendly community, outside the gates there’s enough shopping, food and golf to satisfy enthusiasts of any level. However, inside the doors of this remodelled hillside home, it's all about relaxation with a distinct luxe twist. The master bedroom, in particular, is a showstopper, with its red leather sofa, huge en-suite bathroom and floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the view of the desert, as well as the fuchsia bougainvillaea that border the entire house. There are two parts of this home we think will get repeat visits — the restaurant-quality indoor bar area that puts drinks cabinets masquerading as such to shame and the outdoor hot tub. Bring the two together — responsibly, of course — for an evening you won't forget in a long time.

You’ll find this little oasis in one of Scottsdale’s best areas. Whether you’re up for lazing by the swimming pool or shooting hoops in the Arizona sunshine, this place has got you covered.
