In order to maximise on the ocean views, this home has a reverse floor plan with the living area on the top floor. Spend your days whipping up delicious meals in the state-of-the-art kitchen, enjoy a movie night with the cosy fireplace, or indulge in magical sunsets from the deck. There is even an outdoor cooking station and a bar waiting for you. Although we wouldn’t blame you if you spent the entirety of your trip at this wonderful home, you’re also located just a mile from the beach and tonnes of great restaurants, cafes and shops. A sunken hot tub, inviting loungers, a roaring outdoor fireplace encircled by a sofa, and a huge barbecue area provide several luxurious options for a group hang.

Away from the apartment, you're just a ten-minute drive from world-renowned Disneyland, no more than twenty-five minutes from Orange County's stunning surfside cities, and less than forty-five minutes from Hollywood (LA's notorious traffic permitting).

Come the summer months, there's a private balcony space surrounded by greenery where you can sit out and soak up the glorious Californian sunshine. But, perhaps best of all, there are communal facilities galore in the building, from a glistening swimming pool and hot tub to shared barbecue grills and lounge areas with plenty of space to knuckle down and work. Oh, and a well-equipped gym, too. 

While there's enough at the address to keep you distracted, there's also plenty to offer in the local neighbourhood. Highlights include the magic of Disneyland only ten minutes by car, sprawling Oak Canyon Park reachable in twenty, and the OC's surfside cities, all no more than twenty-five minutes away.

In the north of Santa Ana, this apartment is the ideal bolthole for a couple or solo traveller looking to discover everything on the doorstep. It’s a two-minute walk to West 17th Street where shops and restaurants line the street and a four-minute drive or twenty-minute walk into the heart of Downtown Santa Ana. 

Alternatively, sprinkle a little fairy dust on your stay with a visit to Disneyland, a ten-minute drive away, hit the surf at the breathtaking beaches that Orange County's stunning coastline, within a half-hour drive, or seek out another side of LA's movie magic and head into Hollywood 37 miles north-west.

Back inside, dark hardwood floors and white walls combine to create a striking space. The open kitchen and living room has a sunny breakfast table surrounded by corner windows and a granite breakfast bar for your morning cup of joe. 

A wooden box of toys and games lets you know this place is kid-friendly and we were particularly impressed with the little extras included in the kitchen. The bonus is a little balcony overlooking the street, dotted with fairy lights and furnished with a bistro table and rattan sofa.

Built in 1960, this mid-century modern home is located just two blocks from the village and the beach itself, you couldn't be in a better position to enjoy all the area has to offer. The home still has that vintage charm whilst also having a sleek modern interior. There's even a fireplace in the living room, perfect for a winter's day if you find yourself staying here during those colder months.

Just a short walk from the beach and close by to some delicious eateries – we recommend Taco Loco for some amazing fusion food. Why not be adventurous and try out some surfing using equipment bought at Surf N Paddle?

After a day spent at the beach, or in the water, head back home to cook up a tasty feast on the BBQ. Feel free to spend the evening gathered around the outdoor fire pit or sit back and relax on the magical patio with sweeping views of the ocean.

With a train station a ten-minute walk away and a dedicated carpool lane on the highway, you can also get to LA or San Diego in a breeze.

The rooftop terrace is just out of this world – every sunset is magical and we can't think of a better spot to end a perfect day with your loved ones. Gather round the fire pit for storytelling or, if you're up for the challenge, fire up the grill for an alfresco feast under the stars. Inside, this stylish home sports a sleek look but delivers coziness and comfort in the form of fireplaces – one in the master bedroom – and top-of-the-line mattresses and bedding. Honestly, your hosts leave nothing to chance so all you have to do is let go of your worries and take in this sumptuous experience.

Experience the beauty of the ocean with this home just a short walk from the historic Newport Pier, Mother's Bay Beach and Balboa Bay. You can take advantage of this fantastic location and go swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding or explore the array of shops and restaurants on your doorstep. You don’t need a car here unless you want one – there’s a garage for parking if you do. This home is an upside-down house with a living room, kitchen and main bedroom upstairs and two more bedrooms on the lower floor. We have to say love the glimpses of the bay from the second-floor balconies. There’s a private lushly planted patio garden too for relaxing and dining in the sunny California climate.
