Not far from the glitz and glam of Hollywood, this family home has plenty of space to stretch out. Between the private pool, basketball court, cinema room, and array of other amenities, you'll never be bored here. The design inside is cosy and modern, and a separate guest house with its own living area, kitchen, and bedroom makes this ideal for multi-generational groups. Encino may not be in the thick of the action, but Ventura Boulevard is lined with restaurants and shops. Plus, with private parking, you'll be able to easily explore by car.

California Attitude

This modern Westside Los Angeles home makes a stylish base for exploring the city. Spacious and filled with natural light, the open-plan living areas create a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is the highlight, perfect for soaking up the California sun or enjoying alfresco dinners under the stars. Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood, you’re just a short drive from local shops, restaurants, and parks. The Getty Center and Santa Monica Mountains are nearby, while Downtown LA is also within easy reach.

Desert Villa

If you’re looking for panoramic ocean views, look no further. The vistas from this Malibu home’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows are stunning, as you can see. We love the main bedroom with its private terrace and marble en-suite bathroom. Outside, there’s a large sofa set around a fire pit, a ping pong table and a Jacuzzi for watching the sunset. And of course, Malibu Beach is just steps away. This home is located in south Malibu close to some excellent restaurants, shops and attractions. Other places of interest include Santa Monica, The Palisades, Topanga Canyon, and Venice Beach. But will you want to leave this wonderful spot?

The Infinite Sea

Artists and craftspeople have long been drawn to Topanga Canyon for its natural beauty and inspiring landscape. And it's this quality of magic that dances in the air and draws you into this stunning five-acre mountainside retreat.

As you step inside, there's a sense of harmony with the natural elements that feels deeply restorative. The large windows in the open-plan living and kitchen area fill the space with light, whilst also offering panoramic views of the Santa Monica Mountains. This is one of the best spots to watch the sunset. 


Every detail of this home has been thoughtfully designed to create a deep sense of relaxation. Outside there’s a hot tub, meditation deck, and plunge pool. Spend lazy afternoons swinging in a hammock, or cook with locally sourced ingredients in the outdoor kitchen. You’ll love gathering with friends in the garden or simply enjoying the stillness this setting provides. 

As the day draws to a close enjoy an outdoor shower overlooking the canyon, or soak in the copper tub. Wherever you are in this home, it inspires a deep appreciation for the magic and beauty of life. 


Earth & Water

When you have an ocean view at your disposal, the best homes really make the most of it and that's certainly true of this property overlooking the Malibu coastline. Big windows make the interior feel bright and airy, while there's also a gorgeous deck area from which to savour the panorama of endless blue. This space comes with a comfy lounge area arranged around a firepit and an alfresco dining setup complete with a barbecue, so guests really can spend each and every hour of the day breathing in the salty sea air. Just around the side of the home, there's a small green where you can practice your putting. Back inside, we also loved the Japanese-style round bathtub — ideal for washing off the sand after a day at the seaside. And you won't be short of options, with La Costa Beach only seven minutes' walk away. Even closer to the home — about a minute's walk, in fact — is Duke's bar and restaurant, which serves Hawaiian-inspired cuisine with similarly stunning ocean vistas.


El Matador

Between Malibu and the Palisades, this coastal home is right on the sapphire shores of the Pacific Ocean. Despite being just a ten-minute walk from the antiquities collection of Getty Villa, the interiors here are quite the opposite. This spacious, modern house has muted brown wooden floors alongside a colour scheme of whites and neutrals, which feels clean and fresh. But little touches such as fluffy cushion covers and a cream-tiled fireplace bring warmth if you need it. 

The understated and minimalist decor emphasises the striking backdrop – take in wide ocean vistas from the enormous windows and doors opening to your private balcony. Sip your iced latte here in the morning as you take in the Pacific breeze. 

Just six minutes away, Ratner Beach is a perfect spot for a sunrise swim. Grab a beach towel (kindly provided by your host) and head to the shores. Palisades Village is just over ten minutes by car, where you’ll find restaurants and boutiques. Or take a fifteen-minute ride to Santa Monica Pier to enjoy the funfair by day, and a corn dog under the glow of neon lights by night.

Papiri Bronze

Nestled in the Santa Monica mountains, this Malibu getaway is perched high above the beaches, providing truly incredible views of the ocean from the open living space and each of the bedrooms. We would love to start every morning with a coffee on the terrace overlooking the sea as the sun shines down upon it before heading to the beach for the day – reachable in just eleven minutes by car.

As well as stunning views and great proximity to some of Southern California’s most famous beaches, this area also offers great hiking trails, fantastic restaurants, and even shopping, so there’s plenty on offer for every kind of traveller. Or, if you would rather have a more relaxing break, then lounge in the Californian sunshine, breath in the fresh air and admire the nature and views all around you. 

After a busy day, why not dine together with the bi-fold doors of the living room wide open so you can truly appreciate the panoramic views on offer as the sun sets over the sea. Then, on chilly evenings, snuggle up in front of the fire or indulge in a relaxing bath in the main bedroom’s en-suite, which also showcases ocean vistas to enjoy while you soak. 

Malibu Blue

Perched overlooking golden-hued Topanga Canyon, this creative retreat offers visitors a private Eden. Though Santa Monica is only a short drive away, this home seems world’s away from the buzz of the city. Retreat from the mundane everyday and relax in a home that brings you closer to nature. This three-story home seamlessly flows between the indoors and out. Large sliding doors open up to spacious balconies on every level; here you can find various secluded seating areas, a hammock or outdoor bed that offers unbeatable panoramic views. Sunshine streams into the open-plan exterior, creating a space that is both light and airy during hot summer days. The artistic elements of the home create the perfect space for rest and reflection. We especially love the healing crystals and plenteous house plants.

Koyomo

Located in an area of Bel Air known locally as 'Billionaire's Row', this home strikes us as the perfect blend of luxury and location. Not only have you got miles of parks just a short drive away, including Topanga State Park, but you're also close to Hollywood and Santa Monica. That said, we think you won't want to spend too long away from home – the home cinema, large terrace overlooking gorgeous views, and infinity pool will see to that. 

Billionaire's Haven

Live in luxury in Beverly Hills, in a sophisticated space where high-end architecture meets opulent interior design. There’s lots to love about this lavish LA home, from the blissful backyard pool to the Himalayan salt sauna and private movie theatre. We especially like how the living area opens up to the outdoors, so you can bring the Californian sunshine in or admire the evening sky as it changes shade. You probably won’t want to leave this secluded sanctuary, but when you do head out you’ll find shopping and nightlife within easy reach.

A Private Dream

When presented with a view of such beauty, the only response that can really do it justice is 'wow'. That was our reaction as we stood on one of the home's many balconies and gazed out at the endless Pacific Ocean. You don't even have to head outside to take in this stunning panorama, thanks to the huge floor-to-ceiling windows that take up most of the walls. With your attention naturally drawn away from the home, it might take you a moment before you can appreciate just how well the interior has been put together. The cleansing white living area and handsome wood-panelled kitchen are both boosted by a collection of impressive accoutrements, including an inbuilt Bose sound system, Miele cooking appliances and a Jacuzzi bathtub. A little more low-key but no less appreciated are three sea kayaks and fishing poles that are also available for guests to use. To reach the beach, all you have to do is descend the stairs, pass the home's deck with alfresco dining area and hey presto, you're there. Countless hours of fun await, whether you're atop the waves or out exploring Santa Monica, which is less than a quarter of an hour's drive away.



Let's Jump In

Ocean views, bright open space, luxurious furnishings, and three balconies. This gorgeous home is the perfect place for a Malibu getaway. Decadence sweeps through the home, with cast iron fireplaces, chandeliers, and wooden beamed ceilings. Topped off with restoration hardware, the interior of the home is jaw-droppingly impressive. While the decor is beautiful, there’s something to be said about the home’s three balconies and lush gardens. Sunbathe in the privacy of one balcony, before enjoying an afternoon cocktail by the fire pit on another. Sunsets aren’t to be missed here – the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean are unmatched. Come dinnertime, the barbecue is ready to be fired up for a delicious feast. Or, let a private chef take the reins while you put your feet up with a glass of wine. 

When you want to explore, there’s something for everyone here, from hiking, to lounging on the beach, to heading into the city. You’re just steps away from the turquoise Malibu coastline. Or, head to Surfrider beach – a five-minute drive away – where you can try out surfing, kayaking, and windsurfing. If you fancy some of the city life, Beverly Hills is just a twenty-five-minute drive away. There, you can visit trendy restaurants and shop til you drop. There are also plenty of wine tours in the area, and Malibu Wine Hikes offers something different. Within twenty-four minutes from home, you can either hike or hop on a 4x4 through the ranch, spotting animals, learning about the history of the vineyards and of course, tasting lots of wine.
